kingsislandfan1972
I was very surprised to hear that The Racer will be open for WinterFest this year as well as Mystic Timbers and Flight of Fear. My question is what rides would you like to see open during WinterFest in the future; honestly I would love it if somehow WindSeeker or The Beast would be open during WinterFest, but what do all of you think? TOPGUN1993
A model train walkthrough display in the former Club Blood building would be cool. (Doesn't even need to take up the entire building) Edit* - This isn't a ride but still lol
johnjniehaus
Adventure Express and Backlot would be the only other coasters because they are more family type attractions. In terms of flats, Viking Fury would be fun and I would also like to see the Monster open but that might not be possible considering how many parts there are to take apart and put together during the off season for that ride. Something in Action Zone would be a welcome addition to the ride lineup but all of those rides would be so COLD!!! That's the only other concern is that some rides are just too cold in the winter to interest the average guest.
CedarPointer
At least one of the B&Ms should really be open. I'd even be willing to settle for Orion, can't imagine it wouldn't make it through the layout when it hits the brakes at highway speeds. DoomPlague
I know its operating temps have been discussed but Adventure Express would be fun for Winterfest. They could have some fun with the theming.
Taylor.B03
I would like to see Banshee, I would just recommend that they close row 1 so it doesn't freeze those sitting in that row.
MysticTimberwolf
Typically steel coasters cannot run in temperatures below 41°F unless fully enclosed. These are usually set by the manufacturer, meaning if the park decides to run it anyway and something happens, they have no legal recourse against the manufacturer. The reason Wooden coasters can operate in freezing temperatures because wood is more flexible than steel. Steel coasters are a lot more sensitive to thermal contraction, which misaligns the rails and makes the track more brittle.
