The-Snapper Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Hi ieveryone i am the Supervisor on White Water Canyon and I just wanted some feedback on how we are doing this year!!! This is my first year as a sup and I really enjoy it and I also love my crew! So if you ride White Water then please let me know how we are doing! thank You Brandon Quote
MrPKI Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I rode it once this year and I have to say I really like the new employee towers that control the water. It adds alot more of an experience (as well as water) to the ride. I do remember the ride op asking how our day was going and we said good. So overall I think the crew is great. Quote
Admiral Ackbar Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I don't care for it - but the crew is awesome and the ride is great. So don't get me wrong - it is an awesome ride and you are doing an awesome job. I just personally do not like water rides. Quote
TRTR Guy Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I rode it once this year and I have to say I really like the new employee towers that control the water. It adds alot more of an experience (as well as water) to the ride. Those have always been there. Quote
s10ryan Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 WWC rocks.....but it need some upgrades and some new scenery Quote
Kat_RPW_employee Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 last time i rode it the geysers weren't working properly, and the timing of the one set off by the employee was off. lol. I know you're not in charge of making them work properly, that's a maintenance thing, but you could perhaps inform them? if it's hot enough i'll ride it friday when i go up there to play assuming my ankle is ok then. (hurt it last year, and work kinda messed it up) Quote
coastergirl Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 We went today and WWC was great. We only waited about 30 minutes and everyone was very frendly and helpful. Great job! On a side note, I do have a question for ony one who works at the park. Does the color of your shirts mean anything? Like why are some of you wearing white and other blue? Are the supervisors wearing the white or does it even matter? Quote
FOF/Z 4-ever Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Yes. The white shirts are the supervisors and the blue shirts are the associates. For rides anyway. I dont know how other departments are like though. Quote
coastergirl Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Yes. The white shirts are the supervisors and the blue shirts are the associates. Thanks! That's what we thought. Quote
TRTR Guy Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I know you're not in charge of making them work properly, that's a maintenance thing, but you could perhaps inform them? If it were only that easy. I'm sure they've been informed. Quote
elitescr3 Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Does the color of your shirts mean anything? Like why are some of you wearing white and other blue? Are the supervisors wearing the white or does it even matter? in the waterpark, guards are red bathing suits, and sups have blue ones Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 The ride is fantastic and the crew is excellent, well except for that one supervisor Brandon. He sucks! Quote
PKIbabe89 Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 White Water Canyons is my first choice when it's a hot humid day. I haven't rode it yet this season...hope I can!!! Quote
UncleHenry Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 WWC has a very good crew this year. They are very efficient and do a good job getting people wet (when they can). Keep up the good work! Quote
FOF/Z 4-ever Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I really dont think they should have posted this topic, lol. People might take it the wrong idea and think the crew goofs off (not that they do or antyhing). Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 I rode WWC for the first time in ages a couple of weeks ago. Excellent crew! You're every bit as good of a supervisor as I had imagined you'd be. Quote
YoungStud Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 i have yet to ride it this year. I will though to evaluate you and your crew. Quote
The-Snapper Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 I rode WWC for the first time in ages a couple of weeks ago. Excellent crew! You're every bit as good of a supervisor as I had imagined you'd be. Thank you Ryan!! Our crew is doing good! Always room for improvement thought! I am huge at guest relating! Thanks everyone for riding and come see us and let us know how we are doing! Quote
PKIVortex Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Just a question for you all who may know. Are the water gysers out by Tower 3 that are controlled by the ride ops, working now? They were not working when I was at the park back in June. Quote
Vortex Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Why does it take till 12 to open White Water Canyon? Is PKI that short on staff or are they doing some kinda stafe check. Quote
Jasper Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Every time i have rode WWC the people have been nice. I remeber this one time it was about 6 it was calming down in the summer and no body was in line so we got in line and we got on a boat with these kids and they said we have already been around 8 times. I was like yeah right. But after it ended they said one more time and wqe went around one more time. And we got off and those kids were still riding. Quote
FOF/Z 4-ever Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Why does it take till 12 to open White Water Canyon? Is PKI that short on staff or are they doing some kinda stafe check. Well, Usually, its colder before noon and not many people ride it, so they decided to wait to open it up til after 12 noon. It helps save money and gives time for maintance to check out the ride too. Quote
The-Snapper Posted July 19, 2005 Author Posted July 19, 2005 we are off to a good yeah and we have some really good guest relators too Quote
Pkirocker77 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I haven't been able to ride that one this year, but I will this Sunday. Quote
RailRider Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Rode it last week and the crew was excellent. Not to mention the opps working the tours soaked us. Especially at the end of the ride. The guy opperating the cannons pointed right at me and my wife and told us we were getting it. I think every cannon he controlled landed right on us. I have never been the wet before from ridding WWC. Nice aim. Quote
Pkirocker77 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Wow. I couldn't imagine that. (Having cannons pointed right at you) I'm goin' with my friend this Sunday and we're riding that. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I rode one time and the employee refused to shoot us with the water and I got off of the ride Bone Dry for the most part. Quote
Oldiesmann Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I enjoyed it when I rode it. In fact, one employee went out of her way to tell us to have a great day after she soaked everyone in the boat The only thing I don't like is the changes they made to the guest-controllable part of the ride. I miss the guysers. The new water jet things aren't nearly as much fun. Quote
PKIVortex Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Yeah I agree with you. Are the ride ops still not using the gysers out by tower 3? I do agree with out the ride ops using them, it takes away from the ride. Maybe we should voice our opinions to PKI on this one. Quote
TopThrill Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 I've hadden't riden it yet this season but, On some of the day's that I work in RiverTown. And I go up the exit ramp to get those can's. I get timp'ed to get in line so I can get cool'd off. Quote
