RailRider
Some what of the same concept as the S&S Screaming Squirel. Honestly I hope PKI doesnt do something like this. Just another low capacity ride in all reality. Im hoping for an Intamin or B&M creation. Just my 2cents.
Scooby_Doo
Iam hoping that PKI will get an Addams Family themed coaster since paramount parks FINALLY got the rights I also wouldnt mind seeing a War of The Worlds themed Coaster...but that Frequent Faller drop coaster does look tempting. Ben
I wouldn't want PKI to get something like that. They need a solid B&M or Intamin. Whether it be one of the many B&M's, or an Intamin mega or giga coaster.
Scooby_Doo
I hear PKI will be getting an Intamin next year...Avatar.

No one ever confirmed that the Addams Family rights were secured, the retauraunt thing was just a concept, meaning it only has the possibility to become a reality. Plus you need different rights for different attractions. To make an Addams Family themed ride and restaurant would require different contracts and stipulations, the Addams Family rights are not secured. Thats if your referring to the food survey the other day though, however if you have a newspaper article or something stating the amusement ride rights have been confirmed that would be helpful. Scooby_Doo
^ Yeah I have been told by a source close to Paramount Parks has told me Paramount Parks have been granted exclusive rights to the addams family hence why PCW may be getting a new Addams Family Diner next season and I hope PKI gets an attraction to the addams family in 2007. Skippy
Scoob's right, Viacom (Paramount Parks) FINALLY got the FULL, exclusive rights to The Addams Family Bring on the new diner and coaster, I'm starving!
RevengeofTheSmurfs
^^ It's about d@mn time I've wanting to know about the addams family concept for a long time! That survey was a little odd I really to hope to see something themed to the addams family I wonder since and IF paramount parks did get the rights to use the addams family name and image if FearFest would change and make it more of a family type event like disney instead of the sleepy hollow theme. If paramounts Kings Island would build that addams family mansion coaster I would go to pki more often but lately most the newer attractions havent done anything for me thats why I havent been to PKI since may.An Addams Family Attraction would get me into PKI during the spring/summer months and FearFest. PS look at it this way Paramount Parks wouldnt put an Addams Family Diner concept on their survey if they didnt have the rights to it.
Gordon Bombay
Anyone got an article or news story about paramount getting the rights? Just having a concept in a food survey doenst mean anything about confirmed rights for a coaster.
Skippy
Everyone keep in mind that The Addams Family is on the top of Paramount Parks list of attractions to install, or otherwise they wouldn't have pursued the rights so relentlessly. Also keep in mind that PCW and PKI were to receive The Addams Family coasters this year until something unexpected delayed it even further. So, do you really think their going to hold out any longer? Next year Paramount Parks will start incorporating The Addams Family into their parks starting with PCW (as Scoob has already mentioned), but come 07, Paramount Parks will be in full force
Gordon Bombay
Ok, but still no one has presented any proof that they have rights for an amusement ride and that an Adams Family diner is definently being put in at PCW next year, im not trying to be rude here, but no one has given any proof. RevengeofTheSmurfs
^ You'll get your proof soon I'd say after winterfest I'd also go as far to say maybe paramount has a lot of concepts for the addams family maybe they want feedback from guest before they make a major step into 2006. Gordon Bombay
Yes, of course they have concepts, awhile ago there was a concept for an Indiana Jones ride, yet do they have the rights for that? No. Still, no one has given any proof, so it is NOT confirmed that Paramount has secured the Addams Family rights for an amusement ride and it is NOT confirmed that PCW will be getting an AF diner. RevengeofTheSmurfs
I would go to PKI more(I havent been since MAY!) if they had a Addams Family ride or diner.. Indy jones rights were given to disney and I dont recall indy being on any paramount survey. You'll see for yourself sooner of later.
King Bowser
^^^^^ WOW...I dunno what to say..maybe paramount parks want to remain hush-hush about it I agree with most of you I really want to see something themed to the addams family that movie has GREAT potential to become a great themed ride for paramount parks Lets hope PKI and paramount gets the hint! We wanna see an Addam Family Ride or Attraction.

KIfan73
Thats exactly what PKI needs. Theming is great, but it is like icing on a cake...you also have to have some substance.

CoasterXtreme
Don't hold your breath, I don't see much happen with PKI in the up coming years. Unless it is a family attraction. Which is too bad used to be a great park for thrills, now we have to go else where.
Gordon Bombay
In response to what GGG asked, no thats not Top Gn Supersonic, top gun supersonic was designed as a flying tilt coaster. That thing looks cool however, I dont see a top Gun theme when the track is below you, theres no sensation of flying. However even if it was built as a standard sit down coaster, that aircraft carrier would look awesome! Just as long as its in a lake. They should take donw Timberwolf, put in a lake, build that aircraft carrier there and put in the coaster. That would kick major @$$.

flightoffear1996
I love the 06 expansion but... That top gun thing would be cooler if the track was like embed in the carrier so you could't really see it.
Scooby_Doo
That Navy Jet Coaster looks awsome..BUT I'm still holding out for an Addams Family Themed Coaster or a War of The Worlds Coaster.
Thrillsareparamount
How bout a Intamin accelerator called war of the worlds and it would be cool for paramount parks to break the tallest and fastest coaster record. PCW Can't cause of hieght construction policy. You can only have attracions up to 300 feet...drop zone at PCW is about 230feet so an intamin giga just about 50 feet taller than drop zone wouldnt look good but for pki pc pkd pga i hope they freaking rock the casbah with roller coasters in the next 10 years! CoastersRZ
Just because the track is below the trains, and there would be no sense of "flying" does not mean that it would not make for a good Top Gun coaster. Those pictures look good, and that layout, while short, looks fun and intense, but not too intense. It would be nice if PKI got a ride like that in 2007. That said, I don`t see them removing Timberwolf or Top Gun anytime soon. CoasterXtreme, things will continue to be built at PKI. They will not just focus solely on the families either, because while that is one of their main demographics, it is not their only demographic. Teens and adults make up a large part of their demographic as well (just look at the popularity of FearFest). I`m sure a new thrill ride in the form of a coaster, (a little longer and heavier on the thrill factor than IJST) is on the way to the park soon enough.) I`ve heard rumors that 2007 could be a big year for PKI. It will be their 35th anniversary, and in addition to that, PKI will be hosting the ACE Coaster Con. If they were to install a major new coaster, that would be the season in which to do it. But lets not forget that they are installing some form of a roller coaster next season in Avator.
