I was looking at RCDB and they had a coaster for 06 at PKI being built which is now removed does anyone know why?

i noticed that too... the Avatar was on there shortly after the press release was published.... ond now it's no where to be found on the site.

Maybe PKI doesnt want anyone to know that PKI is getting an outdoor verison of SBSPCCBS! and maybe PKI doesnt want details to leak out about whats in store.

I have heard that Avatar might not be a coaster after all. That is a rumor going around.

I think PKI's website announces the arrival of another "Family Class Coaster for Thrill seeking families"... i think is the exact quote from the website. Maybe it won't called Avatar though.

Dang it why wont they come out with a thrilling ride that people like us would love to ride. But PKI is cebtered around family fun and they of course want to keep it that way.

I just went to the PKI website, like 2 seconds ago. Now, I clicked the Nick Universe link and, I was not able to copy the exact quote, but it clearly said that there was an avatar themed family roller coaster. Go check it out. It's there, I swear.

actually i just looked on the RCDB site.. and the press release is still on there as well- but maybe they removed it because it was not technically under construction yet. who knows.

I would like to think that a more impressive ride announcement may come, but with the investment in overhauling Nick Universe it'll probably be August they announce anything big.

Honestly, I don't think Avatar will be a coaster, I think it'll be more of a flat, but I have no idea. Also, I don't think PKI will put in a big coaster in '07 i've heard we're slated to get the MI Stunt Show that year, I just don't see it happening, but I'd love for PKI to suprise me.

If that MI stink show comes to PKI I will really think about not buying a season pass. My family has gave them our money for well 15 years that I know of and rideing the same old roller coasters loses its thrill after awhile. If 07 they dont put in some kind of thrill ride I won't be visiting the park anytime soon.

They removed it because there is a lot of speculation on more important sites like Coasterbuzz and Thrillnetwork that Avatar will not be a coaster, but a coaster-like flat ride - most likely a Zamprela Disk'o. Someone did some brainstorming, and figured out that it could be possible that every new ride Nick Universe is getting will be Zamprela - part of a Zamprela package. Only time will tell. Personally I think it will be added back to the list, when we find out that it is indeed a coaster.

I think Avatar will be a flat-Spinning wanna be coaster Iam sure we will find out sooner than later.

If that MI stink show comes to PKI I will really think about not buying a season pass.

Spongebob Square Pants Crash Course Boating School. A ride mentioned in a past survery which takes riders on indoor rollercoaster themed to spongebob and his wacky driving lessons with Mrs. Puff, many hope this ride comes to Kings Island as in the survery it sounded amazing.

Its possible that PKI will get a new coaster next year, HOWEVER dont forget that whats left is being redone to the Nick theme, minus a key attraction or two.

I really dont think Avatar is a coaster I think it is a flat ride on a track w/ cars that spin.PKI site may say that but they have messed up some attractions/Meet and Greets in the past anyone remeber them havin the HB meet and greets on there website in 2003 yet PKI got rid of them in 2002.

I think we all know Avatar will be a DiskO ride. Question is do you consider that a roller coaster or not? The DiskO at Dollywood is not listed on RCDB. That is why RCDB has removed Avatar from the PKI listing of coasters, they do not consider it do be a roller coaster.

It very well could be an interpretation of what a roller coaster is, very possible. I was just saying what I had seen. What we consider a roller coaster can be different from what the park wants us to consider to be a roller coaster.

If you have ever seen or ridden a DiskO its pretty obvious that it isnt what you would consider a roller coaster. Its powered by electri motors and kinda falls in the same line as a ride like Demon Drop. I think the move to pull Avatar from RCDB is just more proof that PKI is getting a version of the DiskO. I enjoy the DiskO ride, but very disappointed that this is going to be one of the main anchor attractions for NickU

A family coaster is something the whole family can enjoy. Beastie and Reptar are both family coasters. And since PKI calls it a family coaster - and they are putting it in Nick Universe - you are obviously wrong...

I agree, the Italian Job was a huge let down but this Mission: Impossible Stunt Show looks very promising
