BoddaH1994
You are very right it was one of the worst movies i have ever seen. A lot of people had to have liked it... they wouldn't keep it around so long if that weren't the case.

RevengeofTheSmurfs
You are very right it was one of the worst movies i have ever seen. A lot of people had to have liked it... they wouldn't keep it around so long if that weren't the case. FYI, Its not so much that people liked it its the fact that Paramount Parks own Spongebob 3D the first 2 years it did pretty well long lines but looks like crap now-I'm sure most families will venture to the other side-side B to check of Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera it ran from 1990-2002 and was HUGELY popular at Univeral Studios Florida...I think Jimmy Neutron will replace Spongebob 3D just wait and watch for it. HelixSpiral
Spongebob, most likely will remain in side A of the theaters, while the Funtastic World will be on Side B. That is in fact correct. Well, sort of.
The Interpreter
The same Spongebob movie runs at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, with two differences: first, the movie is crystal clear and in focus, second, there are additional (and hysterical) water effects! Skippy
^I've mentioned this before but PKI could always upgrade their Action FX Theater to use 8-seat electic base, as opposed to 2-seat, which comes with the ability to use 4D effects. Click on image below for more information: Not only does this baby look slick but it also replaces the seatbelts with lapbars; decreasing load time and making it more accessable for larger guests What would really seal the deal is if these were quieter then the EXTREMELY noisy ones PKI currently uses. What does everyone else think?
Gordon Bombay
^Definently newer technology and more advanced system but, theyre probably extremely expensive, it would require all new programming systems to integrate the 4d effects, and those seats look like theyd take up much more room. Skippy
^I don't know what they cost but your probably right They defiantly look expensive but wouldn't having all those effects together technically make it a 5-D attraction? Either way, it would be an experience that you can't even find at Universal or Disney! "We partnered with the designers of the 'Back to the Future' and 'The Amazing Adventures of Spider-man' motion platforms to develop the industry's first 8-seat electric base."-turboride.com To me this version sounds amazing It could probably put some life back into SpongeBob SquarePants 3-D, and even create a better ride experience for The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera, surpassing what it ever was at Universal Studios Florida. BTW, if you visit the link I left above (click image), then you can see all the specification for this I don't know how big the Action FX Theater is, but if someone does, then you could probably figure out how much PKI could fit in there. I don't think it would hurt capacity that badly but it would defiantly up the overall ride experience. Too bad the preshow and postshow areas take away from the overall experience with there complete lack of theming. None the less, I can't wait to experience The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barera attraction again!
Skippy
***UPDATE*** OK, now I present the final piece of the puzzle...A PRESS RELEASE Also, judging by the poster presented with the press release, I'd venture to say Universal Studios sold the rights to distribute The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera to SimEx!Iwerks. If this is the case, then we may see it start poping up all over the place in the near future. New Hanna Barbera Attraction Debuts at Paramount's Kings Dominion Theme park adventure rockets guests through The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera. DOSWELL, Va.â€â€Classic animated characters from cartoons such as The Flintstones, The Jetsons and Scooby-Doo take a starring role in The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera, the new Hollywood attraction at Paramount’s Kings Dominion that takes guests on an unforgettably fun family adventure in the Paramount Action FX Theatre. When villainous Dick Dastardly and his sidekick dog Muttley kidnap Elroy Jetson, park guests are in for a wild ride. Attraction-goers help Yogi Bear rescue Elroy as he dashes through Bedrock, Jetson City and Scooby-Doo’s Haunted Castle. Guests will fly, drive, and dive with Yogi Bear while sitting in seats that are synchronized to move with the action on the screen. The adventure takes place in Kings Dominion’s Action FX Theatre. The Action FX Theatre is a 13,000 square-foot building holding two, four level terrace theatres. The unique two-person seats are set on motion bases that allow for a wide range of movement that is fully in sync with the action coming from the 26 feet by 59 feet screen. In addition, the theatre’s digital-based six channel audio system provides high quality surround sound to fully immerse guests in the story. The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera will debut at all five Paramount theme parks this summer. For fans that prefer to watch the show without the motion, stationary seats are available in the theatre. Guests must be 44 inches tall to experience the motion seats. There is no minimum height requirement for the stationary seats. Locally, The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera will be ready to entertain guests when Paramount's Kings Dominion opens for the season on Saturday, April 1. Paramount’s Kings Dominion is a 400-acre theme park that’s home to more than 200 rides, shows and attractions. The park brings the best of Hollywood entertainment to the Mid-Atlantic with one of the largest coaster collections on the East Coast; two children’s areasâ€â€Nickelodeon Central and Kidzville; and WaterWorks, a 19-acre water park playground that’s included with admission. Paramount’s Kings Dominion is located 20 miles north of Richmond, Va. and 75 miles south of Washington, D.C. off Interstate 95 at Exit 98. Paramount’s Kings Dominion is owned and operated by Paramount Parks.
