flightoffear1996
I just found it and uploaded it to a really nice video site. Here is the link http://www.spikedhumor.com/articles/16020/...r_The_Ride.html
RingMaster
It ****es me off so much that they have neglected that attraction and not fix ANY of the broken lights on the Burma mural on the ride. You would think they would have fixed them by now if there had been so many guest complaints, but they don't. The ride looks SO much better when it first opened, now it looks like crap (styrafoam peeling off, trash littered EVERYWHERE in the queue line, gum on the walls, three-quarters of the lights are broken). RollerNut
I doubt the GP really cares that the lights don't work, all they care is that it is fun.
thejoker8388
In all honesty I just watched the video and I don't remember any of the effects missing from the last time I rode. Now I know that there are lights and such that are missing, but for it to "**** you off so much" because a couple of minor effects that the GP and myself included don't even realize are missing seems a bit extreme. Still a sweet ride in my book and if a missing light can really bother you that much, I would hate to see what your reaction would be to something that actually matters. Yes the ride lacks the thrill it had when it opened but it is still the same "ride".
Jasper
I finally got it to download and it was a pretty nice video. The only thing that i found wrong with it was that my computer did not go well with the sound. I had no sound. Is it just the camera or did the Deiti look like it was that glow in the dark color sometimes?
Legend Rider
to note... the DIETY... (correct spelling) ...is not Sheiva ...it is Durga. that is all.
TheKlockster
So you correct him on the spelling of deity (which you too spelled wrong), and then you mispell Shiva too. I throw two dictionaries at Legend Rider.

I throw two dictionaries at Legend Rider. ::catches, admits defeat:: However, you missed my point... that the MORON on the video called it Shiva! Death on his head... TheKlockster
It's the angry goddess Shiva! She's speaking in Hindu! (in reference to Lara's voiceovers which he obviously couldn't understand) If I had that many arms I'd be angry! What a chode...
CoasterKrazy
Is it just the camera or did the Deiti look like it was that glow in the dark color sometimes? No, it certainly wasn't the camera. That is just one of the [many] effects on the ride that should be working but doesn't. Even if the general public is unaware these aspects of the experience are missing, I think they would be eve more impressed if everything was working the way it is supposed to. Guest TombraiderTy
When was all this on the travel channel? Does any one know where I can watch the rest of the program? Also, it looked as if the big statue had a face painting at some carnival I think it looked eird, but they should have some new light on the face now. The water doesn't shoot into your face like it used to either
flightoffear1996
I dont think the water ever really shot in your face. It aired a few years back in 2003 I think. If you want to wacth the entire thing call up discovery channel and buy it from them.
harvesterofyoursorrow
Its called front row. You have to sit in the right seat so your above a jet.
The Interpreter
Some of us would not say that is a "right" seat. It is reported that on media day, a Paramount exec's son, about 12, was absolutely drenched on that ride. He was about 12, and they carried him out wrapped in a blanket, shivering with his teeth chattering. It was about 35 degrees that day. And the water has never so thoroughly soaked anyone since! Guest TombraiderTy
When the ride finsihes they should have like fifty heaters go on full blast for about three seconds while flames when it's 60 degrees or more outside > <
flightoffear1996
Or they should jsut Full Blast in the summer and low in the fall and spring.
TheKlockster
Its called front row. You have to sit in the right seat so your above a jet. Actually the only seat that really gets that wet is 47 - in the middle row.
flightoffear1996
Is that the seat that doesnt have a wall in front of it?
TheKlockster
No the dangler seat is seat 51.
BoddaH1994
Every seat that I know of in which you get wet is in the front row. Particularly there's one slightly to the right of the center (when facing the goldola).
TheKlockster
Seat 47 gets wet. Also - some seats toward the exit side of the gondola get wet - but nobody sits down there.
flightoffear1996
Yea its a shame they closed that off. Forever Im guessing.
