cincyboy0830
Does anyone have any pictures of Son of Beast during rehab?? Thanks!
CoastersRZ
There is not really much to see. Just a few tarps over the track here and there. You might occasionally spy a worker walking the tracks. They do have at least a couple of cars sitting over by the loop, with their covers on. But you can only see those while riding Adventure Express, and since the taking of pictures on rides is strictly prohibited, you won`t be seeing any pictures of the cars. cincyboy0830
Oh. Are they repairing all the track or just a few sections? I hope they fix the noisy lift hill, there's no reason for it to be that loud
Flying Eagles 1972-2004
You may not be seeing them, but they exist. On my camera, at the moment. Blurred a bit though.

Well they're not doing us curious folk any good there so I thought I'd take the liberty upon my visit down from Calgary: Notice the two men working: Photograph taken Saturday, April the twenty-ninth, two thousand and six after death from the exit pathway of Top Gun. DeLorean Rider
Oh. Are they repairing all the track or just a few sections? I hope they fix the noisy lift hill, there's no reason for it to be that loud Actually there is a reason for it being that loud. The anti rollbacks on that ride have to be a lot stronger than any other at KI because of the weight of those trains. Also since the lift is probably the smoothest part of that ride I'd say that is the least of their concerns right now.

flightoffear1996
I bet they do since they have more cars and plus the lift hill is alot steeper than most coaster so the need for the bigger anti roll bag is needed.

VortexQueen
hopefully, from what i heard a staff.. (one of the important ones) say was around may 21 or something, is when SoB will be out of rehab.. and you can bet i will be one of the first in line, if not the only because people will probably have the thought it is deadly rough, to ride i love it and i need my good woodie speed. I heard it finnaly got fixed because of how many complaints and so many people sueing for back problems and stuff they threw down the towel and said enough. now its costing, what i heard, around a million to put in some sort of metal beam to the wood so that it is stronger and sturdier. also that one of the cars from each train was removed because of the weight, which was also effecting its problems with stability. and to get good veiws of the rehab ride Adventure Express or Top Gun. hope i havent said to much... Captain Picard
If they take off one of the cars it will never make it around the track on a cold day. I have seen it not make it around with all the cars on it before.
CoastersRZ
That is just a rumor about removing one of the cars. The park is going to do whatever it takes to make the ride smoother and more enjoyable. If that means removing a car, then they will remove a car.
Captain Picard
They will need a chain lift after the loop if they do.

ALL PRAISE THE KING! two thousand and six after death from the exit pathway of Top Gun. it's actually anno domine (latin for the year of our lord), not after death. think about it. AD began with Christ's birth, and he lived about 30-35 years before he died. i.e., he died around AD 33. just something that sort of annoys me. anyway, thanks for the photos. i hope it gets to the "rideable" level after the rehab. The Interpreter
And believe it or not, particularly in Kentucky, they are now teaching kids to use C.E. instead...which refers to the Common Era. What is common about it, I have NO idea! B.C. becomes B.C.E.=before the Common Era.

It's actually something that the US has been slow to adopt. It's refreshing that the US is finally joining the rest of the world in how time is designated. Captain Nemo
During my last flyover I saw some areas that were being worked on. The track after the first drop out of the station into the On-ride pictures. The Mid-corse breaks, and some areas in the second helix. King Maple The Tree King
Well guys and gals it appears SOB has its two trains back on the track, anyone on the eifel tower or drop zone could have seen it this weekend as I did and now present the photos for. You might say "King maple, that image is blurry and what about the possibility of only 5 cars on the trains this year instead of 6?" And I would say: "Dont fred young lords and lassies this next photo is quite interesting: As you can see both trains are on the transfer track and each only situated currently with 5 cars. The 6th car for each one is a little further back covered up. Enjoy and remember ALL PRAISE THE KING!

TOPGUN1993
I hate those cars they hurt your body . lol
Gordon Bombay
Something I just noticed: If you look at King Maple's second anbd first picture (or any picture of the SOB trains for that matter) you notice that the first car has a slightly different paint scheme with yellow on the front, instead of it being all red as opposed to the other cars. Sob's last car also had this paint scheme except the yellow was on the back end of the car. Now, if you look at King Maple's second picture youll notice that the last car (presumable car number 5) has that yellow tail paint scheme, meaing that it is actrualyl car #6. Obviously the cars have been moved around to keep the paint scheme together, both train cars number 5 would have had to be taken off then had car 6 attached, does this mean that the change (for now atleast) is really taken effect? Just something interesting I noticed.
CoastersRZ
Well, what I`d like to know if in fact they are going to the five car operation, then why did they go ahead and put the sixth car on the transfer track? Or are they just testing out how much smoother the ride is with five cars as opposed to six? Regardless, I have heard that we can expect the ride to open by Memorial day, although I haven`t heard anything official from the park. PKIVortex
That's interesting. If they are indeed going to a 5 car operation or just testing it, why did they do it with both trains. I'm sure SOB will be going thru quite a bit of testing to see which is better, 5 car operation or 6.
