PKIVortex
Does anyone know the status of SOB? Any word on when it will reopen?
CoastersRZ
Well, I haven`t heard anything official. But you might just want to stop by the park this weekend. You might be surprised...

So I hope it is open this weekend and alot more smoother.

CoastersRZ
Why bring up that "other" PKI site? And it has been rumored for a while now that they will be trying the ride with five car trains instead of six. Not only have they retracked lots of portions of the ride, but new wood can clearly be seen in various parts of the structure as well. TheKlockster
Yeah - they have done alot to the ride... You wouldn't even believe it. They busted their asses getting it ready. I can't wait to ride it.
CoastersRZ
Hopefully, the ride will give its namesake a run for its money now! Not just for the park`s sake, but it has the potential to be a fun ride. The view from the top of the lift is amazing, especially for it being a wooden roller coaster!

CoastersNSich
One of the SOB/Gun supervisors today said Son of Beast would be open on Saturday. I was hoping it would be tomorrow* but just one more day isn't too bad. I saw it test with 5-car trains today as well.
TheKlockster
It is going to be so amazing... Good job to the excellent PKI wood coaster maintenence crew for all your hard work!
cincyboy0830
It is going to be so amazing... Good job to the excellent PKI wood coaster maintenence crew for all your hard work! Whatever you say. the ride is draining the park of financial money and PKI is soon to be a bad park.
TheKlockster
Son of Beast is one of the few good rides the park has... Deal with it.
CoastersRZ
First of all, who is to say that Son of Beast is draining the park of money? Secondly, how do you know that PKI is going to be a "bad" park soon? IMO, PKI has been adding just the right attractions the last few years. Yes, things here and there could be improved upon. But overall, the park is improving itself, not worsening itself.
GrandPoobah
I have to give them credit for the effort they've put into this ride, now if only they would give TRTR the same treatment
TheKlockster
I think we will see a really nice improvement over the park in the next two to three years. It is running a good trend. The Nick Universe is totally mind blowing - and hopefully they will be taking steps to revamp the entire park, getting rid of dated rides, and adding in new innovative stuff for both the family AND the thrill seekers. The Interpreter
Perhaps. Much depends on who "they" are. What happens to KI in the future is very much a murky thing right now....
Browntggrr
I just hope that the improvments that have been made will improve SoB to the kind of coaster that it was expected to be. I am anxious to try it out. If the modifications do not work, I don't expect SoB around much longer due to low ridership and the expense of upkeep. flightoffear1996
I have heard also that they adjusted the banking in certain sections of the ride. I really hope whatever they did helped Son of Beast out becuase it does have a really great layout. I guess we will see Saturday.
Gordon Bombay
Son of Beast is kind of like those celebritys that look gorgeous but are just evil and heartless on the inside. You see it from the highway and you see it frmo almsot anywhere in the park, this massive wooden structure, with that huge helix, the loop and speeds of up to 80 m.p.h. but then you get on and it tries to kill you with its awful hospitality. Maybe it has opened its eyes and decided to be nice to people this year.

harvesterofyoursorrow
Its almost impossible to trust anybody, even another PKI website. It may be wrong that it will be open tomorrow, but hey, I can be optimistic right?

NOBODY should assure anything simply based off of what was posted in any forums unless it was a post by someone official, and no I don't take general employee heresay as being offical. Don't think I was knocking your site, I think you guys are doing a good job.
