This is a continuation of a previous post I wanted to post a few images I took from the park. Note that all of them except for 1 are from around the lake. I resized everything down to 800 x 600 the originals are several megs a piece. I did not want to post this in the original thread for people who are on low bandwidth connections.

Walk way between the two sections of the park. Plus you can see the large stadium thats right on the water.

This one is interesting my guess is its from the days of when the park was Seaworld. As you walk back to the Dino motion simulator this is off to the side and the odd part is its a path that leads no where. I don't remember now but I actually hope there is a bench here its really nice.

You can see the skyline of the rides section of the park. I think but might be wrong the docks in the corner are from the water shows that Seaworld used to do (this was taken from the top of the stadium seen a few pictures ago)

I believe this building is part of what used to be Seaworld. Don't think its used for anything today.

Just figured I would share a few pictures of the park.

To answear a few questions, the waterfall is from Sea Worlds Access for All Garden (yes that was the real name). It was a nice garden pathway with flowers, trees, and birds. It was originally located where Dino Island is now, they moved it in 99 and the path continued beyond the present day wall. The Docks were used for the waterski show for both seaworld and six flags. Finally the building was the aquarium/stingray pool for seaworld.

And yes, I've ridden Thunderhawk...(well, technically I've ridden Serial Thriller). I don't tend to express opinions on things which I'm inexperienced.

I've found all the Vekoma SLCs to be painful, although I didn't think GL's version was quite as bad as T2 at SFKK... (And, yes, I've ridden it as well.)

^ Bull crap, I was there the beginning of June and I got the HELL beat out of me. It is a horrible ride, but it looks cool.

It's not bullcrap. I rode it about 4-5 times without any banging. Let's just say that we've had two different experiences.

Jzarley, the only reason I asked if you had ridden it was because many people form their opinions based off what others have said instead of experiencing it for themselves. To me, that's like not going to see a movie because someone said it was bad. I'll make that determination for myself.

SLC's are great...when they first open.

They usually don't age well. Ones that I rode when they were new...I oft go back and say...WHAT HAPPENED HERE???

And the Geauga Lake Serial Thriller nka Thunderhawk is not nearly new no more...

Essentially every SLC built up to 2002 had the same layout. A few have an extra helix or maybe a slightly different layout, but everyone built up until 2002 had the exact same inversions in the same order. Now they're building a new style SLC that rcdb.com still calls the SLC custom but it appears as if this new design isn't custom and instead just a new cookie cutter layout. There is only one SLC that I know of that has a different layout than any other; that is Jubilee Odyssey at Fantasy Island. I read somewhere that it had trouble valleying so they had to alter the track, maybe there's a reason Vekoma sticks to the same layout over and over again.

Here at rcdb.com you can see a listing of all the SLCs. link.

It has five different listings for the SLCs, but if you look under each one they are all virtually the same, except for the five of the SLC customs. Even out of those three are identical to each other and the one at Morey's is really the same as all of the other older SLCs. So that leaves one SLC that is actually unique.

^I agree, I think the layout looks fairly cool, although it's fairly short. I just wonder if it has any of the head banging that Vekoma has become famouse for. I agree with you though and felt when I rode Thunderhawk last year that it was fairly smooth and didn't notice the head banging. Hopefully Jubilee Odyssey doesn't have it either, but I have no idea because I've never read a TR about it.
