TOPGUN1993 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I have taken some picture over the window ads at Rock Shop to see what is in side. Aug 27 Sept 5 Look at the Difference. The bowling ally seems to be gone. All 4 Rock Shop Pictures So the Question is What is going on a Rock Shop?
flightoffear1996 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Maybe they are going to open up a differnt shop.
CoastersRZ Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I don`t think that it will be a shop perse. It will certainly be interesting to see if the plans for that space are carried out as originally planned.
PkiJake13 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 What were the orginal pland for the shop? -Jake
King Bowser Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Maybe it will be a Snoopy and Peanuts Gang Shop!
flightoffear1996 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I don`t think that it will be a shop perse. It will certainly be interesting to see if the plans for that space are carried out as originally planned. If it isn't going to be a shop then what do you think it will be?
CoastersRZ Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I highly doubt that any Americana rides are going to be relocated to Kings Island. Although, that building was originally the home of the Cuddle Up and the original Dodgem cars.
flightoffear1996 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I heard a new gigga coaster might be going in there.
Gordon Bombay Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 ^OMG WTF BBQ!! your so funny, dont stop.
Snake Attack! Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Bolingo (bowling game in rock shop) has not been opened all season it was taken out at the end of last season. Although the bowling game was mighty fun to play
The Interpreter Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 ^OMG WTF BBQ!! your so funny, dont stop. Famous Dave's is coming to Kings Island? Sheesh. I hope not.
marlfox_21 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Our merch maint. office used to be in the back of the Rock Shop. I hope that they change that entire store around. It had the most corrupted (non-family) merchandise in the entire park. m.f.
RailRider Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 They will move corn hole indoors and then charge an even more ridiculous amount to throw 4 bags of corn at a theme park when most of us can do it in our backyards.
flightoffear1996 Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 ^ True but you cant win one of those cheap theme park prizes!
SOB_TOM Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 That bowling game had so many problems that many of us in maintenance were happy to see it gone. It has been gone all season. And yes, it will be interesting to see if the origonal plans are going to be stuck with.
Snake Attack! Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Well when I go to other parks I play the games just for the fun of it and the challenge. And many people play the games cause their pride and ego get in the way look at 3 pt. challenge 5$ to play in front of sometimes 30 people and you don't even have to set up the ball and you could win a jersey. Cornhole didn't necessarilay work off of egos but it was mighty fun to play. Also most games you can't play in your backyard (squirtgun, milk can, high striker, bowlingo RIP,) And hey I consider it a part of the whole theme park experience.
RailRider Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I was just making fun of the fact they had CornHole in the park. Almost as bad as having HorseShoes or Bademiton. Anyone ever seen Vegas Vacation, where Clark and Eddie go to the ripoff casino and play games like War, Pick-a-Hand, and Guess My Number. That is seriously what the CornHole game reminds me of at the park.
King Bowser Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 ^ thats funny because it's true! I hope something worthy goes in the place of rock shop they had awsome stuff in there but a bit pricy for my tastes.
TOPGUN1993 Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 http://www.extremepki.com/usergallery/albu...24_2006_028.jpg Why is there fearfest stuff in rock shop?
CoastersRZ Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 No Massacre Manor does not reach that far into the building. It mostly stays behind the game portion of the building, where the exit is. The former side where Rock Shop was at, has not been, at least in year`s past, used as a FearFest attraction.
hauntguy Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 There is going to be a "photo op" for guest before the Fearfest attractions open. Guest can come in and have photos taken with the monsters of Fearfest. I was already told that I'll be there a few times this October. I don't know the exact dates but when I find out... you all will find out. Happy Haunting, Hauntguy

RailRider Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Yes I can finally get my official KI FearFest picture with HauntGuy!!! Honestly sounds like a great idea, really a great way to get guests and the characters to interact. Should make for some great pictures. Another question is if you are the greeter at an attraction, but you are at the photo op instead of greeting or welcoming guests at Cowboy Carnage, is there someone else to fill in for you? Just wondering if you have a back up or work as a team in the haunts to set the scene?
hauntguy Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 No, the monsters at the photo op should be there one hour prior to opening of their respective attraction. Then they will head over the attraction they belong and act. I really don't think the photo op will be open after 7/8. Once the attractions open the photo op should close. -Hauntguy
RailRider Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I figured it would be open after the haunts opened, because that seems like it would be prime time for people to get their pictures taken with the monsters. Especially seeing that people would be more in the mood, with the fog rolling, already getting scared a few times and those kind of things. Think of it as the on ride photo. You dont get it before you ride you get it on your way out of the attraction. I would imagine that is something that will change as the FearFest goes on.
Shman Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 The photo op location in the Rock shop will be open throughout the night during FearFest operation. There will be a rotation of Scaractors from the different attractions throughout the night, so depending what time you go it will be different monster.
hauntguy Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Ahhh... ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess they just told us when someone from Carnage would be there. Thanks. -Hauntguy
