Avatar
Season’s Greetings my fellow PKIC members! If you find yourself at the front gates at Kings Island this season and you discover that Cedar Fair has tuned out the lights this year for Winter Fest, don’t worry just go down the road to Cincinnati Zoo’s Light up your Night's for your festive holiday light shows. But if you really wanted a more hands on holiday experience, don’t just stand there shivering go meet up with shivers the penguin at The Beach for their Holiday.Fest. Now those are two great outdoor evening options and could leave you with a bit of chill. So then reserve a fireplace suite at the Great Wolf Lodge and warm up with their Grand Opening Special Rates . Hey also if you like to get up and get out early for you Holiday activities or just looking for a unique experience then I would suggest going over to the Newport Aquarium for their Santa's Water Wonderland. As you can see there are plenty of Seasonal holiday activities to get us all in the giving spirit. If any PKIC members attend one of these seasonal festivities won’t you please take a moment and share with the rest of us your experience. So with that my family and I would like to wish all the PKIC members a holiday season filled with family warmth and holiday cheer!! Happy Holidays

ZosoBeast
We need to have a PKIC meet up at the Beach. I am for cereal!
CoastersRZ
Actually, that has been something that ZosoBeast and I have been tossing around for a couple days now. I`ve never been to HolidayFest, (and only visited The Beach once back in `98 or so) and it would be nice to meet up with some fellow PKICers in the offseason, since WinterFest is no more. (Plus, I would be able to take a spin on the pedal boats that I`ve worked on down at Coney, as The Beach borrows some of them for use in their lazy River ride). Should I mention Christmas in the Smokies at Dollywood was incredible this year? And packed the two days I was there?
BoddaH1994
Who's for a meetup at Holiday Fest in a couple of weeks?
RailRider
Well I was going to do another drive by of Carson Williams house in Mason this year, but I guess he is putting up some type of light display in one of the local parks. Might head over to the Columbus Zoo for some winter wonderland fun. Im sure everyone knows what Im talking about and it was much more impressive seeing the house first person than over the net. PKIDelirium
Yeah, his light display is set up at some park in Mason. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art.../311090027/1092 Starting Dec. 2, visitors can pay $15 a carload to watch the 15-minute show – 100 cars at a time – drive-in movie style. Volunteer groups will sell popcorn and hot chocolate.
CoastersRZ
Carson Williams is setting up his display at Heritage Park in Mason. They reconstructed two lifesize facades of his house there. Admission is only $15 per car (a little pricey), but you can get discount admission tickets at some Mason area businesses.

Avatar
Who's for a meetup at Holiday Fest in a couple of weeks? Carson Williams is setting up his display at Heritage Park in Mason. Admission is only $15 per car (a little pricey). Sounds good to me too. Maybe even before or after we could go by Heritage Park to see Carson Williams musical light display. It would also be good to see how many members we can cram into a car so that we would know how many vehicles that we will need for the trip. My guess would be that Ronnie’s car can hold 10 members with Santa hats on and 11 without Santa's hats. This will be great! Anybody else want to take bets on the capacity of Ronnie’s car at The Beaches Holiday Fest?

The Interpreter
If I can go to North Carolina for Winterfest (and South Carolina too, for that matter), surely I can manage to get to Cinci, as long the timing works...
CoastersRZ
Well, I`m in. Does anyone have any preference on dates? I know we should stay away from the first weekend in December, as they are offering free admission to all residents of Mason. So, it might be a little crowded that weekend. Jasper
Carson Williams is that guy that has like 500,000 lights on his house every year isnt he. I saw a thread on here last year about him and all i have to say is wow! How can someone take all that time and money tomake their house look that good?
