flightoffear1996
Were the cars in the bed of the truck?
PKIDelirium
You need to work on your reading comprehension. They were on the trailer.
coasterbruh
So, I was driving down 71 South around 115-130 and I spotted a truck with a trailer on the back of it. This was just a standard truck, maybe a Ford or something. Anyways, on the trailer it pulled a couple of IJST cars. Had to make sure I was seeing things right, so I slowed up a bit and sure enough, on the IJST cars plates, you could see an old fading logo. Any one have any ideas where they may have been going? You didn't hear...they were headed to paramount's carowinds. everything that gets remotely close to that area of the park is fair game for carowinds to snatch it up. I mean look at what happen to the flyers PWNED!!1!!
BoddaH1994
My guess, and yes, this is simply a guess is that CF is holding Premeir to fixing the design flaws in the ride, which would explain why they're being shipped off-site (perhaps to Premeir themselves). Who knows, really? Excellent observation, nonetheless.
tycoonrebel7188
So if the IJST cars were on a trailer to go somewhere to get new bodies, wouldn't there have been other vehicles/trucks carrying the other trains. Can anyone say if they've seen the other trains moving south on I-71?
Guest kwindshawne
Okay so lets make it clear here since so many people seem to be confused or want to be jerks. The cars were ROLLER COASTER CARS meaning that cewldre would have been able to tell the difference, I mean give him some credit. He's smart and if he can't tell the difference between a roller coaster car and a real mini then he wouldnt be able to type on this forum. I agree with you-geesh, everyone on this site is so testy lately, WTF?
The Interpreter
I agree with you-geesh, everyone on this site is so testy lately, WTF? EVERYONE? At least some of aren't testy. At least I hope we aren't!
DeLorean Rider
I heard from a very reliable source that the IJ cars and the Antique cars were going to premier to have the antique cars retrofitted to the old IJ train frames. BMW has refused to renew the licence for the coopers, however Ford is more than willing to license KI for use of the Model-T's.
tycoonrebel7188
Well now that would be interesting. Seeing Ford Model T's Flying through the helix at the begining of IJ. Could the Model T even go that fast when it came out?
cewldre
Well now that would be interesting. Seeing Ford Model T's Flying through the helix at the begining of IJ. Could the Model T even go that fast when it came out? well, since wikipedia is such a reliable source all the time, it says that the thing could get up to about 45mph. That seems a bit fast, so maybe that's down a steep hill, but who knows.
WooferBearATL
Model T Info It says 30MPH on a Good Road. Check out the facts.
DeLorean Rider
Hmm, Then they may want to get some anti rollbacks going into the warehouse.
PREMiERdrum
This is my skeptical face. While I mentioned the possible Ford license earlier, I HIGHLY doubt we'll see model T's on the stunt track. Mustangs would make the most sense to me, but that is pure speculation. The only reason I see this as a possibility is Cedar Fair's history with Ford. We'll see.
WooferBearATL
Thinking about it. This is actually a very cool idea. They could actually present it as "bringing the antique cars back to the park." They could pull out the whole toxic waste dump look that Italian Jobby is and do the landscaping. That would really be a cool concept.
The Interpreter
And get rid of the gravel, the fire and the loud noises...bringing tranquility and beauty back to a part of Kings Island that was known for that before...
KIfan73
That would get KI's new owners instantly in the good graces of MANY people.
BoddaH1994
Believe it or not the early blueprints of IJ had a 'Antique Cars Shrine' near the exit of the ride.
TOPGUN1993
Do you think Cedar Fair would bring Carowinds Eagles (ours) and bring them back up to Ohio Again?
Vortex
Do you think Cedar Fair would bring Carowinds Eagles (ours) and bring them back up to Ohio Again? Sorry but I think the Eagles will be at Carowinds for long time. Unless it is replace by a new child ride.
