February 16, 200719 yr I do, but I only started in 2005... So I have the Park Map with the italian Job opening on it, and the 2006 Lime Green one with the little september 23rd on it from last year
February 16, 200719 yr I have the '04, '05, '06 regular season maps as well as the '03 and '06 Fearfest, and '05 Winterfest maps. (Thanks Topgun! ) I also purchased a 1993 park map and guide which I'm very proud of. I own the *first* and *last* Paramount's Kings Island maps. ...I can't wait to pick up my 2007 Cedar Fair-style Kings Island map! (Hopefully they offer a souvenir version as well!)
February 16, 200719 yr Yes I do collect park maps. I have people get them for me when the visit a theme park. I have one from Disneyland Paris and all of the parks in the L.A.
February 17, 200719 yr I like to pick up 4 or 5 when I'm at the park on my way out. Although, most likely, I'll lose every single one...
February 17, 200719 yr I want to say I have a 2004 map, 2004 brochure, 1999 map/brouchure, and I think a 1994 brochure. That's in my collection of over 3,000 different brochures, however, so I don't know what exactly I have that I didn't just say.
February 17, 200719 yr and '05 Winterfest maps. (Thanks Topgun! tongue.gif ) And I think there was a 04 fearfest one Yay 1100 post
February 17, 200719 yr I collect many maps, to me a map is a souvenir. Topgun1993, I envy you for that collection of maps.
February 17, 200719 yr And why exactly do you need THAT many maps from each year? I have all the general maps since 1998, the first year that I had a season pass to Kings Island. I also have the WinterFest map, and several of the FearFest maps (including the special maps they had for P&G day last year).
February 17, 200719 yr You've gotta grab a handful every visit. I'll admit...I do it. And yeah, TopGun, it was an 03 Fearfest one I got from ya. (There's an ad for Boomerang Bay - Coming in '04)

I also have the WinterFest map, and several of the FearFest maps (including the special maps they had for P&G day last year). There are usualy 10 different maps per year(July4th-Aug. 1st) so I get around 10 maps x 10differents maps = 100 ,2006 maps. If that makes since As seen here
February 17, 200719 yr I have the large, fold out maps for 1973 thru 1979. The first three years are in bad shape, because I was a kid when I started collecting them and treated them badly. Also, until 1976 the maps were printed on this glossy paper stock that in later years started to crumble at the fold lines. Now I don't even dare handle them. Starting in 1976, they changed their map stock (not to mention the illustration style), and that material has done much better over the years. If I can get my scanner back from my wife's best friend, I'll try to post pics of them sometime. I don't have many maps from the 80's; I didn't visit the park between 1984 and 1991, when we visited on our honeymoon. From then on, I have sporadic years of the brochure with maps, and since 2000 I have every year. I wish they'd re-introduce the large, collectible quality souvenir maps; actually, I wish Cedar Fair would bring those to all their parks.
February 17, 200719 yr Well, I could maybe see one map of each of the ones they produced each year, but ten maps for each one produced? Seems a little excessive to me. Also, unless you were at the park for the corporate sell outs, I doubt you got all of the 2006 park maps, as I know they had special park maps for the P&G weekend.

February 17, 200719 yr ^Isn't it hard to do that, man like how do you get into the park on p&g day or toyota, and those are in nice condition so I doubt you got those from a friend or somthing who went that day. all I got to say is wow!
February 17, 200719 yr It certainly won't be so difficult to collect all the park maps hence forth. Cedar Point typically only produces one brochure for the entire season, with a separate brochure for Halloweekends.
February 18, 200719 yr ...but Cedar Fair typically did all kinds of other things that they seem to be revisiting as they acquired the CBS parks. It will be interesting to see what they keep and what they do the way they have always done things...
February 18, 200719 yr ^^^ Good point, Interpreter. As you say, it will be interesting to see what stays, what goes, what changes they absorb as a chain, and what changes they mandate on their new parks.
February 25, 200719 yr I'd like to get my hands on a map from somewhere around 82 or 83 and take it to the park with me so I can see exactly where rides i remember as a kid were located.
