PKIDelirium
Yeah, that's tinted primer, not the finish color. I'm sure the finish color will be nicer looking red than that.
Tuskin
It looks more of rust red to me, the primer, the actual color is darker in color and is shinny. exactly so what do u assume the color true color will be?
Cory Butcher
The fact that they have sections of the track already primed and painted!
kjkjkj
it looks like rustolium primer stuff
tycoonrebel7188
Firehawk has gone vertical. Looks as if the supports for the track coming out of the loop (not completely sure though) is the first to be erected. http://www2.cedarfair.com/KingsIsland/news...cfm?item_id=

RWildman424
did anyone notice all the white spots on the supports that are up already? Maybe its just dirty? Anyone have thoughts?
Cory Butcher
1. They've been laying on concrete, anything can happen 2. They've surely been dinged at times by the forklifts 3. More than likely some paint has chipped off since the ride was last painted And Finally, the crew was using what looks like Bondo in some of the pictures, So I believe Bondo or a relative to it was used to smooth out areas on the supports and track where plenty of wear has occured. flightoffear1996
Supports are up!
PKIVortex
Awesome, anyone have any idea what part of the ride that is. Also looks like they are getting the final pieces of supports and track in, for the lift, since that was the last part to be removed from GL. Looks like KI is going to give us daily updates on Firehawk. Way to go KI.
RailRider
Looks like the lift is being assembled first because of the gradual height increase of the supports. Also I hoping that the final color of Firehawk is a Cherry Red with Jet Black supports. But I like the Rustoleom color right now.
tubaman
Well, I don't care what color it is, so long as it's new (to our park anyways) coaster.
THE_BEASTmaster
That could be the horseshoe turn they are putting up. Maureen said that the lifthill will be going towards Son of Beast so it an't be that.
PKIDelirium
Can't be. The track in the horseshoe is suspended.
tycoonrebel7188
Like I said earlier, I think these supports are for the track coming out of the loop and just before the lie-to-fly section above the lift hill. The section between numbers 4 and 5 in this link. http://www.geaugaguide.com/album/albums/us.../L-X-Flight.jpg EDIT: after looking at the pic you posted below BEASTmaster, I think you're right, so disregard the opinion above. RWildman424
I agree with THE_BEASTmaster, it looks like the beginning of the horseshoe turn which would make sence if the lift is going towards sob. I thoght the same thing as PKIDelirium, but if you look at some of the pics on rcdb.com, the track is off to the side enough for the trains to pass with out hitting anything. RWildman424
Also if you towards the bottom of the pic, you can see the way the footings are going, which stays in line with the horseshoe turn.
THE_BEASTmaster
PKI Delerium, look on the top of the supports in this picture. See the circled part of the supports the suspended track is mounted to? They haven't put that part of the supports on yet at KI.
PKIDelirium
Oops... didn't notice that. Note to self: Actually look at pics of the intact ride before guessing.
Nickelodeon Universe
It's not the loop, maybe the horse shoe turn
THE_BEASTmaster
That's what my picture is of. The horseshoe turn on X-Flight.
flightoffear1996
If they all ready got that amount of support up I think that it won't take long to build.
CoastersRZ
Like it has been said before, a lot of time is spent on preparing the infrastructure and foundations. Once those are in place, that actual erection of the steel will go rather quickly. I`d imagine, that most of the ride will be assembled by opening day, with only electrical work, painting and testing to be done over the one month or so between opening day and Memorial day weekend. PKIVortex
That would make since, it won't take long to bulid the que line either. I think they have plenty of time, they still have over 2 month's to get everything done, I think that is plenty of time.
mutedarkness
looks like right beofe the horshoe
Tuskin
they should easily get it done especially with crews working 7 days a week i would see no problem in getting it done. I love ki crews they do a great job
Cory Butcher
Well, Im not sure who to blame, but didnt KI's crew did build Son of Beast rather than having it contracted ? The answer is yes they did! But I think it was more of a problem of RCCA, nevertheless they do seem to do a good job!
Tuskin
well you cant technically say it was their fault in building the Son of Beast the coaster they built is what they were told to build. they dont really get a say in what coaster they build and dont build they just build the thing, if the Son of Beast gets a few minor fixed the coaster will be fine
