As of Monday it was annouced via inter-memo that season pass processing will be open this weekend and through out next week early. So we all dont have to wait until opening day!

That is good news! This will help make thing move more smoothly on opening weekend. I know they had some issues with switching out the temporary passes down at Carowinds on opening weekend.

Great so i dont have to get to the park so early to process my pass. Just one question, do the maxx passes act like a gold pass it would be silly to pay all that money and not get the perks.

Yes, I believe that Maxx passes that were purchased and processed at Kings Island will get the Gold Pass Perks at Kings Island. The perks are ONLY valid for Maxx passes that were bought at Kings Island. Likewise, the KI Maxx pass will not get perks at other Cedar Fair parks.

Your welcome! Now, if only we would get an actual listing of the specifics of the Gold Pass perks. (Like what early ride times they will have this season, all they`ve said so far is that they will have early ride times, but haven`t gone into specifics).

I bet they will give us the info when we process our pass. I will call the park later on today and see what time the processing hours are and Ill post the info.

Quick newbie question: When is the last date that Gold Pass perks are applied to a reg. or Maxx Pass purchase? I'm hoping to make it to the park by early-mid May and just want to make sure I'll be able to get the Gold upgrade for free.

Ok i just called the park there is early season pass processing this weekand 10am to 6 pm Sat and Sun and she said mon thru Fri but I asked the hours but she hung up. So for any of you who dont want to wait in line on the 21st get your pass processed this weekand so you dont have to wait in that long line when the park opens.

I wish I could do that. Unfortunately I won't be able too. But I plan on getting to park early on the 21st, so hopefully I should be fine, besides I don't actually have to process, just get my temporary pass traded for a Gold Pass.

That's an understatement. At least they seem to be learning from their mistakes!

What's also great about this is that I can also add my parking pass to the card, and have it all done before opening day, so I don't have to fork over an extra $10.

I will be driving to Kings Island on friday april 20th. I should arrive around 3pm. After hotel check

in,i will drive over to park and process my pass. From the hotel,i will be staying at- i am only about

1/4 mile from Kings Island.

Can you still buy your gold passes online and go to the park and trade them in for gold?

Any Season Pass you buy online is automatically upgraded to gold for free.

Yes all are gold until the end of May then the prices go up and I think the gold goes away.
