  1. Way back in April I teased that I had purchased a set of photos of the park from 1974. (Random Photo Thread) A lot of the photos are the “same old, same old”…it’s amusing to me that I have seen several different sets of photos that people have taken at the park over the years and it seems like you can count on quite a few people taking the same exact shots. (I wish I could run across someone who liked to take more pictures of the rides back then! ) Anyway, as I was scanning these photos and looking at them I kept thinking to myself just how much the park has changed. (duh) I was also just as

  2. ] that is what I was getting trying to get at with that people will be upset when we don't get a giga. just because Cedar Fair gave us behemoth and Diamondback doesn't mean that they have to give us 2 again.

  3. ^maybe you'll get 12" this time instead.... I really cannot wait to ride this new ride. I've had a dollywood season pass now for I think four years and I love going down for mainly the shows and the area but the park really was needing another special ride. They really have a great collection of rides now and the shows are top notch! And the food!!!! I'll also be going down first weekend of December and can't wait for christmas in the smokies!

  4. This is exactly where issues arise. When Kings Island does not get a giga-coaster for 2013 (or for 2012, as some doubtlessly suspect that construction truly has been occurring somewhere secretly inside the park), we will say Kings Island overhyped it. Yes, it seems that Kings Island saying absolutely positively nothing about a giga-coaster at Kings Island indicates that "Cedar Fair wants us to thing that a giga is coming to [Kings Island] but actually there isn't." Really. That's the place we've arrived at in off-season speculation. So many of us just beg for disappointment. And mark my words

  5. PETA is certainly fighting a battle with SeaWorld that will only make them look even worse than they already do. SeaWorld (and all formerly owned Busch parks) have been, and still are, very animal friendly. Not only do they have conservation funds set-up, they are among the Worldwide leaders in animal preservation & education. It is too bad PETA uses the media to make a fantastic organization look bad for publicity. If anything, PETA should be praising SeaWorld for they have accomplished & learned through ther years.

  6. I hate to be the bearer of bad............well thoughts, but I wouldn't be surprised if The Crypt was off the map next year. I doubt the ride itself will go anywhere anytime soon, but SBNO could happen. Unfortunetly Kings Island is kind of in a catch 22 with this one. The ride is in the position it is because of the lost themeing. It's also going to be hard to sell the ride to another park for a good price due to the same reason. Most of you that like this ride do because you remember what it used to be. The last day of the season this year was the first time I have ever ridden it and it w
