  1. No just call it the Cedar Fair chase by BMW: and its not going anywhere any time soon. Yes a antique or turnpike I do believe will return to Kings Island somewhere, and a flying scotter will return.
  2. Raging Thunder at Americana/lesourdsville Lake was the best it had rapids, you splashed in a tunnel water fall ,and a great drop, It was rated way high on a ranking out of the usa one year that is a great past ride: best current water ride hands down the Log flume at Knotts just rode it about a 2 months ago themed, its in a mountain great Ride, great drop too!
  3. Very good to have all management on opening day present. Good to see there taking pride in Kings Island for sure:
  4. Make it the history of Kings Island props from various years rides that have left, history of the park a history of Coney Island leading up to Kings Island:
  5. Even the Azul train ride was added seat belts this year! Not previously with them: so seatbelts are here to stay:
  6. It was a great Day at the park My 3 year old was on The Beastie for the first time, and rode the monster and the viking fury and the scrambler for the first time Great day to be at the park Nice and warm and sunny. Very good day overall
  7. This Is great! Shows will be a huge hit, Kings Island is back on top !
  8. Good Job to Cedar Fair for the 35th anniversary of Kings Island they bring back entertainment, and bring a new roller coaster . So far just from reading this will be a great season:
  9. The trains I feel will run with 2 on busy days once again and We have no worries The trains are not going anywhere far to many people use them to go to Boomerang Bay: and Boomerang Bay will stay free and for a perk will always have a Season pass entrance: To the future of the trains:
  10. I know around the park the de-parmountizing is going great but what about the main sign out front I hope where the paramount mountain is that will be the Eifel tower Wishful thinking!!! Hope the sign changes soon:
  11. We Need a huge steel coaster . Record breaking not really. Hopefully Vortex under Cedar Fair maintenance will be around for a long time to come. But Kings Island will get I feel a huge coaster. That is steel.
  12. No Disagreement we need two a log flume like Knotts themed even the line was heavily themed, and the inside of the mountain incredible. and we need a more like phantom theatre both of them you ride and relax, 5 minutes atleast each . This could be the best things ever added to Kings Island:
  13. COASTER RZ Said it best, Way to go on that statement, Things Change one People taste in stuff changes Who would of thought 20-25 years ago of all the water parks in america? And who would of thought of looping Coasters, Things change rides are removed for new rides, But some of that comes down to parts(availabilty), Riders not riding as much, maintenance problems, and land use. Also if Kings Island did'nt change over time Can you Say Defunct Parks, Kings Island has been Huge to me too, I love Riding Coasters anywhere, but even Disney yes its Disney magic but when I hit Kings Island WOW! =============== TO ANOTHER 35 years and the Island of tomorrow: WEST COASTER:
  14. http://www.lasvegaswet.com/ Myself and family frequent The west a lot La$VEGA$/Utah / arizona/ California-just for beaches and water/amusement parks. I loved Wet N WILD VEGA$ this is going to Rock!!! The Las Vegas Waterpark Resort team (Las Vegas WET) is currently in the final negotiation stages on 200+ acres of land on the South Strip. The family resort is slated to deliver two hotels, an indoor snow dome, an arena, surfing, performing arts center, retail, restaurants, the largest indoor waterpark in North America and much more. Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 14, 2007 -- Las Vegas WET, LLC made an offer to acquire over 200 acres of land along Las Vegas Boulevard late last month. "We have exchanged a few counter offers over the past few weeks, and we are certain that we're very close to a workable agreement," said Kelly Jo Horton, co-founder of Las Vegas WET. While the exact location remains secret, it is known that the only area where that much land can be assembled is on the South Strip, south of the 215. The Company declined to identify the sellers and the precise location due to confidentiality terms in the offer. "We had originally planned to build on a completely different piece of property, but we had to look elsewhere when it became clear that the property we originally wanted was not big enough to allow for expansion," said Horton. The Las Vegas WET team immediately began looking at other parcels, and started negotiations on the current property late last year. "This little hiccup is definitely going to delay our break-ground-date by a few months," said Horton. The team had planned to break ground this Spring, but the date will now be pushed until they can complete their due diligence on the new piece of property. While the Company's website (www.lasvegaswet.com) depicts multiple attractions, Horton indicated that there will be far more than meets the eye. "We increased our land requirements based on the need for additional space required by components we have yet to announce," Horton said. The indoor portion of the waterpark alone has now been reconfigured to be over 350,000 square feet, making it the largest indoor waterpark in North America. The team has also decided to expand the environmental angle of the project, and will only be using electric and hydrogen powered vehicles at the complex, as well as expanding its water recycling and processing facilities. When asked to provide more details on the current layout of the park, Horton was very hush-hush, indicating negotiations with various partners were still underway and couldn't yet be announced. "We have named the park, and will announce the name after all trademark and copyright searches and registrations have been completed," said Horton. More details will be revealed on the new website which will come online in the next few weeks. The 200+ acres being acquired by Las Vegas WET is slightly larger than all of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, including both theme parks, all the hotels, retail, and parking combined. 16. Great Find, Hope Cedar Fair could put it on a dvd for about 5.00 dollars, that would be great. Loved watching this.
  17. [When I heard about this yesterday, I thought it would boost Recognition for Cedar Fair for Great America. And Just going to Knotts a few weekends ago, I liked Knotts. But what I thought was even more interesting before Knotts was bought by Cedar Fair they were planning a second park in California, Had anyone heard this before? and Knotts has 3 water parks under the Knotts banner too.
  18. 2007 - Park Improvements - (3/9/07) MidWestInfoGuide has posted a good update this week. A few interesting items were found at the park, including what looks like the entire fleet of cars from the old car ride at Kings Islands that will be added to Le Taxi Tour. Well I guess Cedar Fair sold them, hopefully in the future we get something back similar to the tiques
  19. The Bahamas resort is incredible but this looks fascinating, and for the whole family. My question to all of you though is this more the future of the amusement park more water parks , More family friendly rides, it seems so. Sure they'll be a place for coasters, but it sure seems everyone is investing heavily in Waterparks. Of course this is one man's opinion
  20. Very Interesting Article! Thanks for the info, very informative, and rather interesting:
  21. Would make sense they make money in year round places . And orlando is the capitol of Amusement. If they could come up with the money they could even make it themed after looney toons or dc comics. These days isn't everyone getting into florida or California.
  22. Love the new look, and the extra's added to history of Kings Island is great!
  23. Great Comment: I'm excited too at all the future prospects. Cedar Fair will do great. For those folks out there doubting it because of Geuaga Lake That whole park was not the same after sea world left next door. So Kings Island will be on track again:
  24. I think were getting a lot of new signs , a new coaster, and a better SOB. I do agree that Kings Island needs something where euro bungee is I'm sure Cedar Fair knows that too: They will put something great there:
