  1. Insults/bad information/bad grammar/idiotic comments are not tolerated here. Closing...
  2. The word on the street is that Tomb Raider will be getting a little more TLC than usual this offseason, so that might have something to do with it. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if more rides are open than what they are telling us about. They have only announced 4, but that doesn't mean that more could happen, maybe they're just not sure yet and didn't want to make a big deal about it.
  3. They were once again testing it without anyone on it today.
  4. Last year our 2004 gold pass did not get us into fearfest. PKI gave free admission to fearfest with our 2005 season pass. We got a heck of a deal on our 2005 passes because we bought them so early. If I am remembering correctly our season passes expired at the end of September so if we wouldn't have bought them we would of had to pay to see fearfest. That's not true, last year both 2004 and 2005 passes were accepted for Fearfest. I guess I misunderstood what PKI was saying when I got the e-mail. Sorry.. next time I'll keep my mouth shut. It's an understandable mistake. They make a big deal about the fact that you get Fearfest for free with the next year's season pass.

  6. ^ ^^ Oh yeah, I'm terrified of snakes myself. That's one of the very few phobias I can really diagnose myself with. I have seen snakes at PKI myself. Sometimes they crawl accross the midway, but it's just garder snakes and they're minding their own business. The rumor that I had heard was that WWC was infested with water snakes, and that when you rode the ride, you more or less ran the risk of them washing into your boat whenever you hit the waves. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that at the end of the year when they drain that thing, they bull some disgusting things out of it, but probably not water snakes.

  8. Just because Skylab had problems doesnt mean Kings Island should blow off Huss completely. First off, you dont know what your talking about. Skylabs down time couldve been any number of things that werent related to Huss. It couldve been down all the time because of how KI maintenance kept it up, the weather, the condition it was kept in. No one knows. Thats only one Huss ride. Shake Rattle and Roll is a Huss ride and is always running. Tomb Raider is a Huss ride. To say KI should not trust HUSS because of one ride that didnt work quite well for reasons probably no one on this board knows is qite ignorant. I don't entirely agree with that... let's look at the PKI Huss rides off of the top of my head: Delirium: Goes without saying Skylab: More than its fair share of downtime and then removed. Tomb Raider: Frequent downtime SR&R: Consistantly running The Bat: Huss-Arrow - Prototype, but was removed within 4 years nonetheless.. Now you can debate back and forth however you want, but if you look at their track record at PKI, it's not promising. It's a shame they make such awesome rides with such weak track records.
  9. When I was younger, I was lead to believe that WWC was heavily infested with venomous snakes.
  10. I just added a couple of photos which can be seen by clicking here..
  11. Yeah, you'll hear all about it on Putz's side of the fence whenever they finalize anything. We also do full coverage on here as well.
  12. They were working on it today and all of their crap was still up there. I'd say it's doubtful.
  13. Expect more coverage of the press conference from PKIC within the day.
  14. Ryan: Now, let's see who kidnapped Chuck Cunningham from the Happy Days Diner... Dane: Why, it's Old Man Seibert, the guy who runs the haunted amusement park! Jeff: And I would've gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for you meddling coaster enthusiasts! Ryan: Excellent Scooby Doo ending, now let's do the mega happy ending.
  15. I just got an e-mail from the office of Mr. Steve Boehmker asking me to officially invite you to "Join us for a special, heartwarming announcement that will inspire memories and new holiday traditions." We ask that you vote truthfully as to whether or not you intend to be at the announcement on the 25th at 10am so that we can assist the park in knowing what kind of crowd to expect. Steve also asked me to communicate to you guys that at the end of next week, he will be making his grand finale at Paramount's Kings Island as he moves of to bigger and better opportunities. The staff of PKICentral.com wholeheartedly thanks Steve for everything that he has done to help us along the way. The site wouldn't have been what it is today without the assistance of Steve Boehmker. We'll miss him. We'll have a blue Christmas without you! Ryan Suhr PKICentral Media Director

A PKI Commemorative Towel The first and only time that I have ever been to Kings Island was during a family reunion trip with my parents, grandparents, and a few other relatives. I was 7 years old, and have only vague memories of most of the trip except for our day at Kings Island. It was a wonderful day that was capped of with a flume ride. It got me so wet that my parents had to purchase a new shirt for me, as well as a towel to sit on for the ride back to my uncle's house! I didn't care that I was soaking wet on the ride home because that was the FIRST TIME that I had even been tall enough to go on an exciting ride like that. We kept that towel for the next 10 years until it just fell apart from being used so much. My husband and I are commemorating the completion of his Ph.D. program with another trip to Kings Island. I look forward to a day of unbelievable fun, almost 20 years later! Patty H. from Austin, TX will receive two tickets to Paramount's Kings Island. Winners are randomly selected. Submit your entry! Stay tuned for our next issue in two weeks! Source: PKI e-newsletter
  18. You are wrong. The Delirium crew is all over the park. You are wrong, again, and HelixSpiral is right. Imagine that? How am I so sure of myself? Trust me, I'm "in the know" on this. And what makes you think you know everything about the Delirum/SS crew?
  19. LOL. I wish ACErs who posted online followed this advice. Then they would never say anything!!! I disagree with that. These are open forums, and so long as you can express your opinions somewhat intelligently, it's welcomed. Oh I know. I was just making a joke that a lot of "hardcore" coaster enthusiasts on other sites seem to post an overwhelming amount of negative messages. Yeah, I can agree with that 100%.
  20. Using IE, the Flash never gets larger than the size of our reglar frong page image. Our technicians are addressing this problem with no current ETA.
  21. When we make our own flash videos, they'll be intended for the site. You have to bear in mind that this file was just an mpg that Maureen sent us that we converted. In the future, we'll do our best to make this stuff more and more PKIC friendly.
  22. I traditionally buy shot glasses from parks, but I don't think I have one from PKI. One thing that I do want to get for my Wall of Shame is one of those metal Eiffel Tower statues.
  23. This will help in our future decisions regarding the content of PKICentral.
  24. I just think it could do a LOT to enhance your experience here.
