  1. So you're saying that KIC is covered in santorum? I'm sorry, that was bad. I know, 5 minutes on the naughty chair...

  2. Well, I didn't think these existed but...I found these POVs of 2 historic and classic wooden coasters! First up...the Coney Island Thunderbolt, which operated from 1925-1983, was SBNO 1983-2000, and then demolished. I can't post the videos directly into here but here's the link... These videos by swampfoxer, not me. Enjoy.

  4. Went to Kennywood for the first time last year and The Whip was my favorite ride there. There's just something basic and fun about that ride.

  5. Exactly. I am actually pretty bummed about it, because we used to stock pile FPs early in the day, then leisurely go through the park and shop or go back to the hotel and swim. Or eat at a park's table service restaurant. At night, we could again leisurely go to the rides we had passes for, which made for an enjoyable day. I never once saw the FP lines take more than 5-10 minutes, so I guess I am kinda not seeing the point of this, especially if most guests didn't "abuse" the system like we did as Disney claims. Ah well, whatever. I'm sure that what they have planned with X-Pass will change all this anyway.

  6. Please don't let the same thing happen to The Beach as it did at Surf Cincinnati...the photos of the place overgrown were depressing.

  9. Right at first, I thought your angle was really off, standbyme. Then I compared the position of Scooby Doo to Woodstock Express, and it's actually almost perfect. That area of the park's just really different! I never knew the entrance to Enchanted Voyage was where it was, too. I figured that path was put there just for CarnEvil. As always, thanks for uploading these!

  10. Very cool. This side of the park looks very different today from 1974. This is a tough one but I would say i would rather be in 2011.

  11. Another excellent job! While the mature trees of 2011 do more for guest comfort, I have a hard time not picking the properly scaled, polished, and detailed scene from 1974. The charming patio umbrellas, unique merchandise in the shop windows, and the more convincing streetscape are all wonderful, from a design perspective.
