  2. To interpret. Read on.
  3. And there is no such thing as a turn. It's a business, not Roller Coaster Tycoon.
  4. Honestly, just have fun. Each trip will bring new surprises & new outlooks.
  5. I saw one in New Jersey once that was 456 feet. It really was a top thrill, too. Terp, whatever he is.
  6. Is Action Zone up next for a major makeover in 2013 it's there turn!
  7. Looks good! But look to the left. Nickelodeon and Scooby? Hmmmmm.... https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150970649838368&set=a.226729858367.174830.155893938367&type=1&theater

I've been looking around online, and apparently Great America in CA had them in 2000, if not before... http://www.epinions.com/review/trvl-Family_Travel-Theme_Parks-All-Paramounts_Great_America/kifm-review-64E9-A4B0D56-3945204F-prod6?sb=1 ...the KIC timeline is correct and KI added them in 2003 (thus proving my failing memory)... http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Topic/paramounts-kings-island-adds-metal-detectors-in-2003 ...and Carowinds installed them in 2003: http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Topic/carowinds-tightens-security Those darn racial tensions must have flared up in Charlotte too!

Hate to break it to you, but you are the prime example of an Acer that has no idea of what they are talking about. He's a computer? Neep. One of these:

  13. Did they use RCT3 to make the concept video?
  14. ^To my knowledge, it has been the only event there all summer in years past since Sean Hannity's Freedom Farce Tour was disbanded.
  15. Her opinion of the Gemini are alowed to change, especialy since the said quotes have been posted. Gemini's Helix trims are now stronger and on all the time (even if MCBR is open) thus taming the helix.
  16. Have decided to make the trip regardless of the forecast. Almost 8 months since my last visit.
  17. I don't care how cold it is or how much rain there is, I'll be there. I have been in severe withdrawal since October, with only a small reprieve in mid-December, and I need a fix for my KI craving. Hell, I'll wait in a six-hour line for Flight of Fear if that's what it takes to get my fix. Yes, kids, I'm addicted to Kings Island. And unlike cigarettes and drugs, this addiction is safe (for everything except your wallet).
  18. I'd personally like it more if the area itself was renovated. It 's very barren. They need to add trees, flowers, other landscaping...get rid of that ugly water tower unless they add a show like there was before , and make Flight Deck more noticeable!
  19. Yes. Or no. No such thing as "turn."
  20. In case you haven't heard or forgot, Kinzel stated pretty bluntly at last year's Coastermania (2011) that at Coastermania 2012 John Hildebrandt (CP's GM) would have a huge announcement to make concerning 2013. Of course, plans change (i.e., Shoot the Rapids, etc.) but that was in fact, stated.
  21. I think you might be able to see it from the inside, and not sure what year but its from the 90's.
  22. Its been touched on, but as easily as I can explain it: Its much easier to tend your shop when your present and active there every day. The family that owns 1 park, and sees success, is likely successful because they are there every day, they live in the community that the park serves, they have a solid feel for what their customers like and want. They see small problems and nip them in the bud before they become large problems. They have a close relationship with the people they hire, know their families, know their struggles and dreams, know what they're good and and where they struggle. The family that owns 2 parks, often seperated by a large distance can't be in the all parks every day or even week/month, therefor they have to hire people to manage these ventures for them. Small problems creep up and are overlooked until they become big problems, its significanly tougher to understand the markets they serve, they're not as familar with their employees, it becomes tougher to retain them, its harder to put them in position to succeed.
  23. Not to mention that YELLING, content-free posts and not caring what others think (lack of respect) are violations of the terms of service: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/4128-terms-of-service/page__pid__60232#entry60232
  24. This summer meet me at Kings Island, I'll take you to flight deck, then we leave that ride, i will have you look at SoB's supports on the track. Wow man, your quite annoying.
  25. '74 plain and simple. Removing the sky ride was a major mistake. The trams and the skyride removed a ton of unnecessary walking.
  26. Kings Island's motto in the '70's and '80's must have been to "just add water". It's too bad it's went by the wayside, but makes sense due to the various reasons mentioned in these forums. Did they not foresee those problems initially, or was it just too cool looking?
  27. I choose 1974 when I look at the 2 pictures. If I could get a picture of the real spot of the Oktoberfest station, i'm not sure because it's hard for me to judge without a picture. 1 mistake is ok, as they happen in life. Happy early Christmas everyone!
