One painfully bad picture of Vortex mid-corkscrew coming right up! Easy: Anything from Coney Mall. Hard: Viking Fury. Expert: Adventure Express' drop out of the station from the queue.4 points

Apparently what appears to be the train started a 10-acre brush fire starting at the top of the train loop at Dollywood. It appears to be contained with no threat to structures, and it looks like it won't effect the opening for season passholders or gp this Fri/Sat. . http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2013/mar/16/emergency-crews-battle-brush-fire-at-dollywood/ I leave the park for three days and they try to set the place on fire. I know I left Dollywood, but that doesn't mean I want the park destroyed either...just one manager3 points

40 days to go…we've got a biergarten, a restaurant like many have wanted for years, a 5k before the opening rope drops…and still that empty space of real estate to think about…whew, is it April yet??3 points

Dare-to-fly. I think we can make this happen. I used to have my friends dizzy on Der Spinner Kegger (KI's ) before the ride even started.2 points

I really believe that one day, there will be a headline somewhere ... "Two injured in spinning ride accident" because the car went flying off the ride.2 points

Keeping some that haven't been used: Easy: Anything from Coney Mall Hard: Viking Fury in action Expert: Surf Dog in action as far away from the "station" as possible.2 points

Regarding the Grand Carousel: "The popular family attraction features the 1918 Wurlitzer Duplex band organ" If only that were still the case.2 points

We went the Friday before our wedding, so that would have been October 5th. So I'll trust coasterfanatic's math and say 5 1/2 months.1 point

Here are the pictures and quotes from the blog on Cedar Point's website. I'm glad there will be true sunshades over Gatekeeper's queue, unlike Firehawk's solitary triangles that offer very little, if any, shade. Also note, there will be a gift shop at the exit of the ride.1 point

I don't think it's that bad...I think it looks great! As for the most recent "Expert" option...I did take a picture of the ACE plaque on June 4, 2011, but I lost it when my computer's hard drive failed in September Carry on...1 point

Looks like I'm going to have to plan a trip up North this year1 point

Diamondback was totally the first B&M to feature an animal head pilot car and body train. Assuming I am right, I think that's kinda neat. I'm really diggin' these wing coaster trains. They seem to get more bad@$$ with each new wing coaster they build. I think Cedar Point would be hard pressed to find a cooler way to incorporate a coaster into the entrance.1 point

I got to see Gatekeeper from First St today, all I can say is wow! That thing dwarfs Raptor from the mainland.1 point

The proceeds from the "first riders" go to a good cause, and means much more to the beneficiaries than most of us can probably fathom.1 point

Found this online. Even though this is a good idea, there's to many banked turns for my taste1 point

I was on the left hand side of the train, I touched the tips of my fingers on The Beast's tunnel. I thought that I broke a finger or two. I am 6'4" and have a long reach. Btw: it stung for 20-30 mins. I guess that I was lucky.1 point

I'm so happy Tony is back. His updates are always the best.1 point

Are you sure that answer isn't only for Cedar Point? After all, the group there isn't Island Buzz....1 point

I bought that episode on iTunes. While it seems like more people talk about the Bradys at Kings Island, this episode shows a lot of great views of the park and the KI resort.1 point

My guess for 2013 is Luminosity and Action Zone re-theme/sprucing up. 2014 Giga.1 point

One of the more amusing sites of the day…reading a book while riding a coaster! (Yes he DID do it…even down the hills.) I was sitting right behind him, he did a great job at holding the book steady.) It didn’t last TOO long though…once the ride ops noticed it they did ask him to stop. (Safety first!) Next to the guy holding the book is muppetfan1999…I didn’t find that out until after I got home and was reading this board…had I have known it was you I would have introduced myself. Have I mentioned that all of The Racer crew members were great?! It was interesting watching how they roated around during the day. It was now time for lunch…unlike last year it was mandatory. (Last year I was able to sneak in about 10 extra rides.) In this photo we are all wating around to walk as a group to The (former) International Restaurant. (Yay!) I always, always enjoy the view. Don congratulated and handed out prizes to the top three people who collected the most donations…and he handed out a special prize to jlopez for the money that she collected having a rummage sale for Give Kids The World. The Racer crew joined us for lunch! Now to honest I am not a fan of the Kings Island’s biggest fan campaign…maybe I am too sensitive but I feel as though many of us are being mocked. (Yes. me included.) With that said, I will say that “the fan” was very nice…almost shy…unless that is what he was “going for”. He went from table to table giving each of us a 40th Anniversary commemorative Racer coin. (A very nice touch!) I think these coins are great. I purchased 2 of them in The Emporium the night before! (Be sure and pick up one of the 40th anniversary park one’s also!) I love it when the park makes items that are unique to the park…it doesn’t thrill me as much when I know that the same item is being sold at all of the Cedar Fair parks. Fire-Beast-OF-FEAR meets “the fan”. The KIC group shot. Here is the same shot with the names of the members…anyone want to fill in the gaps?1 point
