tomorrow many of us will be riding what is known as Kings Islands throwback coaster, Banshee. knowing that we would have this very special opportunity to ride this roller coaster before the general public, i decided that tomorrow i'll dress like a 1970's Kings Island tourist, in honor of Banshee and The Bat so here it is, my media day outfit (note: my headband is an original 1970's light up Kings Island headband):

Good morning y'all reading this (except you people up late like myself) Just think as I'm posting this, in 24 or so hours most of you will be waking up or making your drive to the park depending on your agenda, all to ride the new roller coaster at our park... Take a deep breath, let that sink in.. It's practically here.

That picture of the sign just made me so much more excited for Banshee. I hope the lights are on for the early morning rides tomorrow. This looks amazing.

Glad no one was injured. Okay, so, a recycling company stores its bags at a steel fabrication plant. I think the investigation should be over soon. (Just kidding. My dad used to operate a steel forge in Miamisburg for 19 years, and I often wondered how (1) he, and (2) all the inherently flammable-looking materials stacked nearby never wound up spontaneously combusting.)

Banshee just has to shine her light on The Bat.

You can post, photograph or film anything you see tomorrow. As long as its not a POV or anything taken on any rides. As a fair warning unfortunately as its already happened, there will be "elevated monitoring" for those individuals who try and shoot a POV photo or video. Those who try will be escorted out of the park with some paperwork. The park has also already recorded a nice HD POV of the ride that will be released tomorrow.

No envy here. Our swing just had a new girl move in right next to him, while ol' maXair just has a bird. C'est la Vie!

It's been a long, chaotic off-season. But, it's just about over. There's been a lot going on at Kings Island this off-season, like The Bat re-theme/repaint, the Chicken Shack, Coaster Connection, Cirque Imagine, a new marquee sign, and much more. This is sure to be one of the best Kings Island seasons ever. To sort of end the topic, we will once again go to Closing Day 2013. And amazingly (ha! see what I did there?) GatorGirl has all those colors memorized in order already, and the show isn't even for another two months! Shaggy, you were right, it's in my head!

Anyone who goes tomorrow needs to take lots and lots of pictures all over the park. I miss seeing Kings Island in person! Hope you all have fun!

I remember a Wild Eagle billboard facing Fort Washington Way in the middle of downtown Cincy for most of the summer of 2012. They like to reach far, which one would expect when considering their location in the middle of a major tourist spot.

I agree. They were easier to identify. Now I get to see a three years ago version of myself when they run the pass through the main gate.....surprising how old I look now....sigh....

As you can see I have decided to try the idea of having all my trip reports (except for a few) in one topic instead of one topic for each one. Clearly I am not the first member to try this, but I figured why not try it for myself this year and see how it works? Since I will be going to Media Day tomorrow, the PTR I will write for that will be in this topic; I would recommend following this topic so you will know when I post a new trip report (or a reply, for that matter). This thread seems to have gone a bit off target.

I wonder if the fog effects are added or just coincidence. Fog effects are added, in the Night POV, the fog effects are there.

I'm not even sure what the point in people shooting POVs is - many coasters already have perfectly fine POVs, and when you're the one riding it, why do you feel the need to video tape it? Just take pictures and videos...off ride...that's sufficient!

^^That's why I hate when cameras hit people..for some reason it's like an idiot ray nine times out of ten. Like you and the gentleman next to you. When I was in my 20's I went to Bubba Gumps and had a few ''adult beverages'' and some chicken strips & fries because I wasn't really planning on riding anything else that day well... my best friend talked me into riding Delirium while I was a bit ''tipsy'' let's just say I'll never do that again and I no longer drink beer or any '' adult beverages''. So... yeah I'm all for Chicken Wings but please no beer.
