So Friday I proposed to my beautiful girlfriend at the entrance thanks for everyone's help. Btw she said yes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk14 points

Congratulations! (My husband and I got engaged at the park, on "Days of Thunder"- it was the only ride where I felt I wouldn't lose the ring.)3 points

In addition to everything already posted here, I can offer 1 more tip based on my trips to Holiday World- for a amazing view of the Waterpark as well as Voyage (and now probably Thunderbird- my last visit to HW was in 2013 so it wasn't there yet), while in the waterpark, go to ride the gigantic purple waterslide known as ZOOMbabwe. It is over 100 feet tall, and on the edge of the waterpark, so you can see nearly every other waterslide from there. Also should Legend be running (witch it should unless it breaks down), do note that it passes directly under ZOOMbabwe and when it does the entire structure shakes (same thing happens to the giant funnel slide, Zinga, next door as well as Legend passes by that one too) which can be intimidating. Also after getting the amazing view you'll probably have to ride ZOOMbabwe and it is one of the more intense and scary waterslides they have, given that not only is it huge, but the entire slide is in pitch black darkness. It's fun if you like intense, scary waterslides though.2 points

Doesn't even need to be a big flat. I think Coney Mall is begging for something like a tilt-a-whirl on Flight Commander's pad.2 points
-
This isn't really a choice based on what I'd want, but rather what makes sense logically. Flight of Fear and Bat are the 2 that make the most sense to add VR. FoF for being indoors and Bat for its mild and smoother track and layout compared to other coasters at KI. Adventure Express and Backlot would be close 2nds.1 point

wow little kids get so annoying sometimes with there little make believe stories.1 point

i was on Drop Tower and some little kid that was like 6 told me he better survive or he will kill me and im thinking what ever1 point

I actually heard a news anchor refer to the park as "King Islands". Many times news people move into an area from another part of the country, and they go right to work before they're fully acquainted with local place names.1 point
-
And these are media people, who pay a tiny bit more attention to this than the average park guest. You really think the minor variations in The Beast model trains are going to be noticed by the typical buyer? Not a chance.1 point

Channel 7 had a story about the job fair a few days ago. Some of their clips included the old entrance sign, the new entrance sign with PKI on it, the Drop Zone sign, and SOB's loop.1 point

Yeah, and they alternated between that video and a still shot of SOB's loop. C'mon people. I'm sure you have a DB animation. Please use it.1 point

The local news called it "THE" Diamondback today. They also showed the computer rendered video of ... Firehawk. News fail.1 point

FWIW, I have never heard anyone say "The Kingda Ka," "The Medusa," "The Skull Mountain," "The Rolling Thunder" or "The Superman: Ultimate Flight." I have heard "The Great American Scream Machine," but for me, at least, that does not grate.1 point
-
^That drove me crazy at SFNE. THE Superman, THE Batman, I would get so aggravated and everyone I was with would know it too.1 point
-
^ As do I. That drives me nuts. Also when people add "The" before every name. THE Son of The Beast. Arg! THE Top Gun. ...I should stop, I'm upsetting myself.1 point

"Did you hear about the new ride by The Tomb Raider?" Ahhh, i love when clueless kids at school get ride names wrong1 point

Today my dad, brother and I were looking at pictures of Shiekra on rcdb.com and when we came up on this picture before my brother and I got a good look my dad said "what, do they put helmets on the people before they ride or something." My brother and I said "WHAT" at the exact same time. Then we got a better look at the picture and there were water test dummies in the train. It was FUNNY. From a kid in line for Maverick (and looking directly at the track) "Does this go upside down?"1 point

Question from Tuesday while walking to my engineering class: "Hey Jordan" "What?" "Diamondback's got 7 inversions right?" "Phbbbt." "What? I read it on the website." "Your lack of information is something I can't describe. What website did you read that from?" "KICentral.com" "-long pause- Wow."1 point
-
just remembered this, from a while ago at Cedar Point: somebody asked me how many times disastor transport goes upside down. So I politely answered them. "6." Don't worry, I corrected myself...1 point

^ XD I overheard today in school that Diamondback was being remodled and had to be rebuilt to fit the surrounding area (WTF?!), and it would have to be rescheduled to open in 2010. Speechless, me!1 point

I took my 8 year old nephew to howl-o-fest and I hear all kinds of crap talk like I heard a father tell his kids that scooby-doo and the haunted castle was a scary roller coaster!...wow dontcha think you should ride it first before you lie to your kids!?! then I heard a couple of punk teenagers at Halloween Haunt telling people that The Racer has a loop. The Freaks really do come out at night!1 point

On my last trip to the haunt,i heard someone tell a friend that Diamondback will be the first track jumping rollercoaster at Kings Island. hmmm i cant wait to ride. Hurry up 2k9.1 point

I believe the answer may well be Kentucky Kingdom...what were those silly dragster rides called? Terpy, who still can't believe he gave Mr. Gary Story's company $20 to ride those, once upon a time...1 point

On Sunday, we were in line for BackLot, and the group ahead of us were talking about launch coaster. And said something about if you went 0-60 it would snap your neck lol. I thought that was funny.1 point

~Would that be the Erie Ocean? LOL! Also "I hope they don't leave it like that"! Maybe they just got done watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth" or "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", with their fridge-nukin' mine train jumps!1 point

Well... I think I have said it before, but I don't want to go back and find it. On Magnum Girl in front of me: "Look at the ocean at how beautiful it is." Standing near the Diamondback mini-me up front: Random guy: "That's MF but painted different." Random woman: "I hope it doesn't go THAT fast." Park employee(sweep): "It's not going to be that great of a ride anyway." I hate when they say Firehawk is "Brand new", when it is actually a hand-me-down. Funniest thing i heard all season, Guy talking about Diamondback's missing track parts: "I hope they don't leave it like that!" From the parking lot looking at F/O's lifts. Female: "That one has two tracks."1 point
-
^ Not unless you hear 2009 season talk from the GP. It'll be interesting to hear what they say about Diamondback. I can see it now: "Diamondback was testing and the supports on the first helix crashed and sent the train flying through the air only to crash through SOB's structure, over Top Gun (you KNOW they'll say it), and into one of GWL's slides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"1 point
-
The season is over so the Kings Island comments will probably die down some now... sigh1 point

ok we where on Adventure Express sunday and the guys behind me said that the ride was called tomb raider the girl in frount of me said The Son Of The Beast:P1 point

StalkerChick, if you love Cedar Point so much, I have a point to make. You really should indulge yourself and have a great adventure some day! Then you could visit a Six Flags in New England...and as long as you are up that far, you may as well dip into Canobie Lake, too....1 point

Me and my friend Jacalyn were riding The Beast yesterday (10-25-08) and on the Break Run she yelled,"OMG I lost my Virginity to The Beast!".Everyone Laughed.1 point

Conversation with someone on the bus: Kid: Jackson, are they taking down The Vortex next year? Me: No, The Vortex is safe as always. Kid: Some kids told me it's gonna get demolished and replaced next year Me: They say that every year since 2002. It's fine. Kid: What's it gonna get replaced with?1 point

I second that. It is worth the 3 hour drive from where I sit. I'm going on closing day (after being harassed by many ), and I don't care if it's so cold I have to wear a down coat and gloves. (hey, I made it to enthusiast status! w00t!)1 point
-
I'll definitely have to agree with you on this one. My first trip to Cedar Point was this last July and I didn't ever want to leave. I was extremely PO'ed at my friends though, the only ride I didn't get to ride was Maverick. They didn't want to wait the hour and a half. Yeah they heard it from me the whole entire 5 hour trip back to Indy.1 point

I very much wish that game will come back this year for its fourth wonderful season!1 point

Because some people actually do know a litle more about Kings Island than others! About how much more they do know is to be determined.1 point

Why do people insist on thinking they know more about Kings Island than some other people. I just do not understand. (Points a finger at Terpy while looking the other way )1 point
