While Holiday World consistently retracks it's wooden coasters in the off-season, I'm really excited for this year's project. The Raven is being retracked from the 5th drop to the brake run during it's 31st season. This section has needed some TLC for the past few years as it has been known to have a pothole that would make the end of the ride a bit jarring. The Raven is honestly my favorite wooden coaster at the park.
I felt like the park could’ve taken this opportunity to “rebrand” the highlighted area of the park strictly to Phantom Theater.
Rename Great Pumpkin into “Ghoster Coaster” or something that ties into the PT IP.
For the Enchanted Theater, you could have a smaller PT show, live character meet and greets, or transform the inside all together into maybe a PT gift shop.
Good catch, those are definitely the opera boxes. They definitely go through inside the maintenance area behind the show building but I’m not sure what would be easiest to do.
I wonder if they have had to remove and reassemble the ride cars every off-season like they do for the other rides, or if they’re allowed to stay because of the ride system. Either way I love seeing visual construction progress!
From 1994-2013 who remembers Action Theater (originally named Paramount Action FX Theater)? I have fond memories riding SpongeBob 3D, a very brief Stan Lee Superhero ride, and even a 3D Dinosaur ride. There are other shows that were shown in a theater such as Days Of Thunder, James Bond, and even a Hanna-Barbera ride. Who else has fun memories of this Kings Island attractions?
Those are used to evacuate people from WindSeeker. To my knowledge, they have never been used. Both sides are meant to hook together and evacuate in tandem across the tower.
If I remember correctly, it opened without that system available in place (and without the extra shocks between the seats). I don’t remember if it was shut down after its opening until they could get the system in place, but I do recall the addition of those extra shocks coinciding with the appearance of the evac equipment.
That would be a great little "mini land" that's part of International Street IMO. I'd also include Charlie Brown's Wind-Up (either keep it or move the ride and replace it). Keep the theater and renovate it to hold more guests. There's enough gift shops nearby, but some theming upgrades could go a long way!
Could these be 9-10 of the enchanted opera box doom buggies sitting in front of the Bandstand? I see a hint of red on one of them and their shape fits overall. The only question I have is why they're not covered and/or which route they plan to take them into the building (whether to go around the French Corner or all the way down and around Sweet Spot).
