  1. I think adding the minimal upcharge with the Haunted Attractions Pass is doing wonders. Some folks will continue to refuse to pay for something that they used to get for free, but I can't imagine Haunt would be doing any better continuing down the path it had been on.
  2. 1 point
    I will ping @Dane !
  3. Maybe the first day the park has been open to the public in weeks wasn't a great time to start using SLOW mobile devices to scan people's passes. Just a thought!
  4. No one saw them getting Siren’s Curse, either.
  5. Oh, I absolutely agree, and in fact I think these types of additions are vastly underrated by enthusiasts generally speaking. But for folks who, let's say, think Orion was underwhelming or whatever (so, your median enthusiast), The Boardwalk would not count as a "major addition", considering it was effectively the addition of a Wild Mouse and a restaurant, at the expense of losing Wicked Twister.
  6. I wouldn't call Wild Mouse a major addition by itself, but as part of the broader Boardwalk renovation I think it was a major enough investment to justify the saltiness from fans of other parks. There isn't really anything pointing to Cedar Point receiving something new in 2027, though I do think they could add a flat ride in 2028 to appease some of their rowdier guests. Kings Island is a park that definitely deserves something custom that fits better as well. Arieforce One would fit better at Carowinds or even a smaller Six Flags park. Carowinds especially since enthusiasts already flock there for Fury 325. The coaster seems to be getting dismantled now, so I guess we'll see where it ends up soon enough.
  7. I know some people never have a good word to say about the park since the Six Flags merger, but they are improving the Haunt at a stunning rate. Last year, I may have thought Dragon was better than the Conjuring House and both were absolute top tier houses. If Metal Massacre and the Jason house both deliver, it will be unbelievable what they have done since taking over.
  8. Per their Facebook, Baynum did some restorative work in addition to the painting. I still hate what’s happened to the park, but I’m happy to see that work is being done to save whatever is left of Coney. When it’s all said and done, my hope is that this “campus” can act as move of a public park space for people to enjoy without it being locked behind an over-priced, concert ticket paywall. Appreciate you sharing these updates,@BlondyRidesOn!
