  1. Flight Commander was one of the scariest rides in the park. Those pods rotated kind of slowly, so you always had the feeling you were going to fall out. Of course after the accident, it had even more of a scare factor when riding. darn noisy ride though. You could hear that thing all the way down Coney Mall. Not only did you have the feeling you were going to fall out but there was the added bonus of sometimes actually doing so!!!! What a thrill.
  2. Whatever... Yea, gross green water. Gross gross gross gross water.
  3. They had a jabber jaw's costume? How did he walk around? I know in the show he would walk on his tail (man you never realize how weird some of these shows are untill you really think about them) but it seems like that would be pretty difficult to do in a suit. Or did he primarily stay in the royal fountains...
  4. Hmmm... I see. Well in that case, yes that is a problem.
  5. yea you dont know the half of it, lol.
  6. Seems to me that Son of Beast makes people violent.
  7. I never called anyone an idiot. That was just your poor attempt at starting a childish online arguement. In reference to my quote: when someone comes over a message board and claims they know what the stipulations of a billion dollar deal only because they are a former ride operator, it sounds as if someone is trying to gain attention by claiming they happen to know more than most. Deals like the purchase between CF and Paramount fall through all the time, and normally, at the last minute due to the lenders getting cold feet. Claiming that CF confirmed the purchase at the end of the 1st quarter 2006 to the point where they directed Paramount on how to operate a park they did not own yet is rather foolish. Rumors of CF purchasing Paramount started becoming a reality the 3rd week of May in 2006, practically a month after PKI opened. Loan terms of the purchase finally were officially disclosed less than a week before the actual purchase. It would really undermine the integrity of a company if a ride operator would happen to know that the potential buyer of a park was already making decisions and running the park before the proper paperwork was actually signed. Now if you want to twist my comment by trying to discount what we discuss here, so be it. There are many visitors that claim to have inside information about what ride is going up next year, where it is going, etc. A majority of us here will not make those claims. But if you are going to make comments that you have inside information, be prepared to back it up with more proof than jsut because you operated the ride for two years. I'm sure the administrators and mods here have had many opportunities to disclose sensitive information about the park, but have wisely not mentioned a word. And in return, they have a great relationship with the park. They also fit the comment: Those who talk don't know; those who know, don't talk. Funny because you seem to have a lot to say.
  8. Sounds to me like the mall needs to charge for parking and then validate in the summer. Course I guess you could always make a quick purchase before you leave.
  9. A Dive Machine, is a coaster that B&M deems, a Dive Machine. Though I cannot be positive, I HIGHLY doubt that B&M does not have a copyright on the term "Dive Machine" in the amusement industry, and have a patent on the track and train designs for the coaster.
  10. The article seems reletively uninformed/misinformed. Seems to be a trend within media about Kings Island.
  11. Hmmm... I think there is a problem with Pepsi's logo, it almost looks like the Coca-Cola logo. Weird. If I were Coke I would definately sue for logo and taste infringement.
  12. I cant remember if it was extra through 2001 or 2002 because 2003 was when they decided to have the indoor attractions open at 3pm and the outdoor attractions open at 8pm. I remember that you had to get a wrist band when it was extra, not that they checked much. 2000, they had the newspaper map thing, 2001 they had no map, 2002 they had the whole separate map just for fearfest, and 2003 they started to incorporate fearfest into the park map so... yea. Lol, Celebrity Slaughter, classic. I remember they would have special guests like the mayor of Cincinnati. I remember in the show I went to, they cut of Carrot Top's hand, and chopped off Britney Spears' head, and threw them both into the audience.
  13. Wow, I always thought that making Fearfest was one of the smartest decisions the park ever made. Anything to make a buck for Cedar Fair.
  14. I gotta say that one of my favorite attractions ever at Fearfest was Route 666. If I had to pick my 3 favorites ithey would probably be: Museum of Horrors (Phantom Theater Transformed)-2000 Torture Tower (Eiffel Tower first level)-2000 Route 666 (Antique Cars Transformed)-2003 I felt that these were the most... Unique and creative of the Fearfest attractions.
  15. I was once told that there was an additional room up at the top of the Eiffel Tower. I believe it was access to the communications equiptment or so, as of now however, I believe it has since been abandoned and is currently unused. In talking to a member of maintainence, I was told of parties that had been had up there in years past in the off season. All I remember was something about a couch and a keg.
  16. How exactly did you come up with that conclusion? Dont get me wrong, I've been a Skycoaster Site Controller the past 3 years, I know how the ride runs, thats not to say that there are not safer rides in the park, like say, the Carousel. Carousels hurt people every year. Mainly it's rider error, but it still happens. True but it's not as though no one has ever been killed on a skycoaster either.
  17. If by opened at 10am you mean that the attractions opened at 11am, you would be correct. I remember how how much extra sleep I got being able to work till midnight and later one night then open the next day at 11am instead of 10am.
  18. They'd be better off going with all the cartoon network shows since kids know them, http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/all_shows/index.html But then a lot of parents would be upset because so many of those shows are so weird. course not that a sponge that lives in a pineapple underwater or a cat/dog combination is normal...
  19. Including the halloween event with park admission is one of the best decisions the park ever made.
  20. I always liked the name Fearfest. Oh well, looks like its going to be pretty awesome. Wow, 1am, they havent stayed open that late since 2001.
  21. Wow... would you like to make some jokes about Superman Tower of Power next?
  22. So this is a forum full of idiots... Now how did you come up with that? According to you, everyone who talks here doesnt know what theire talking about. Today's Lesson - Using They're, There & Their I think that was a combination of they're and their. Whoops!
  23. If you really want a B&M, just ask for one: http://www.bolliger-mabillard.com/contact/contact_en.aspx
