I always thought SoB was in a great spot at the time. I do agree now, something that tall wouldn't look good that close to the front, with WindSeeker in the very back.

Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18
sixohdieselrage replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
We definitely will @IndyGuy4KI! Thanks for the reminder! -
Here you guys go... Better pictures of both tracks. I definitely love the teal color. The yellow doesn't look bad though either.
-
@JudeHoward Belsnickel is my favorite though.
-
Hmm. Also, didnt get a chance to get the pictures. Was too dark when I went by.
-
@Codyfryguy Yup. That's the track. I've got family that owns a farm near there (1/4 of a mile), so it's not far out of my way. I'll run by again tomorrow to get a better picture. But its looks darker than the concept art of the oversea coaster. On edit: @THE_BEASTmaster, the track doesn't look wide enough to be a wing coaster. Looks more like Fury/DB size.
-
@SonofBaconator I can drive out that way tomorrow and snap some. Had a statie behind me when I saw them.
-
I'm not sure where they are going, but there is some new, teal colored track at CSF. Looks like a Giga type. Maybe hyper. Both Hyper in B&M's eyes.
-
@JudeHoward Does it at least dive into the Royal Fountains at some point?
-
"Man, you can see the Burj Khalifa from up here!" Or The newly renamed "Outer Limits: It really does take you to the Outer Limits" I still love these concepts though. Keeps me occupied till Friday.

My favorite is still Hejdlost. I love the way it interacts with the terrain. I added the link both ways, so open it how you see fit.

Maverick sucks as a coaster, so pls no Intamin I'm obviously kidding.
-
They had an observation tower? Asking since this year is the first I have ever been to CP.

Kings Island Confirms removal of Coaster

I laughed when the news guy said Vortex was made by "Arrow Coasters". Not that it's entirely wrong, but I've ALWAYS heard the company called Arrow Dynamics. -
I think it's more of Google Maps versus Google Earth.

I doubt it'll be Vortex. They dont want a new attraction sinking either. -

So, trim brakes down the whole drop to keep it under 30mph? -

@Gannersdaddy It must have been awful dark when you took those pictures. I'm glad you didn't pull your phone out of your pocket on WS. -
Maybe the Big Brown Box (TR:TR-The Cyrpt)? Its extremely unique to KI. It's [a] big [eyesore]. Other than Haunt and during MT's temporary queue on opening day 2017, it's not really used.

That's what I was thinking also. I personally wouldn't fly directly over the park, just for safety reasons.
-
They might own that land, but I still dont think they own the airspace. It's no different than flying a plane over the park. As long as you are a certain height up, the park cannot tell you that you cannot do it. Now what that height is, I dont know. Sounds like I need to call the FAA and see what they say. I'll report back on my findings.
-
Correct me if I am wrong, but Kings Island does not own the airspace above the park, and even if they did, they only "owned" a certain height up. So, I'm not sure why a drone wouldn't be allowed back there. I can definitely understand above "guest inhabited" areas, for safety. Still pretty cool pictures though! I'm going to follow this thread.
