  1. Um. What contact tracing? Phone banks are not contact tracing, contact tracing is boots on the ground with badges and subpoenas. “It’s not going well. I have to tell you, it’s not going well,” Fauci said in an interview with CNBC’s Meg Tirrell https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/26/coronavirus-contact-tracing-is-not-going-well-fauci-says.html
  2. I might get this one if we decide to go to the park.
  3. I don’t understand this. It seems infinitely more difficult to SD in a waterpark than dry. Specifically a lazy river and wave pool. The towers seem possible if they severely limit the number of kids allowed up the stairs at a time. Slides are mostly kids and without supervision tend bunch up on the steps.
  4. This right here. Also mask or no mask with these levels of humidity and 90F+ days it is miserable outside especially if one is not acclimated to it which many of us are not because we haven’t been spending as much time outside doing stuff as we normally would. I bet the employees are even more miserable than the guests but are probably not allowed to post about it.
  5. On top of the risk to faculty and staff my big question is at what point is a teen more like an adult than a kid in regards to the transmission? My 14yo is most definitely adult sized now (200lbs+), but my 17yo is 109lbs. I am really leaning towards online classes as much as possible for my boys until we have more data on this. ELA, Foreign Language and labs for science classes in person would be my preference at this point. Some/most kids would probably benefit from math in person as well, but mine don’t need it. Elementary School is going to be a giant experiment with few controls.
  6. Weather permitting half and half or some ratio is our preferred day at the park. Another location wouldn’t be a big problem if it wasn’t far away but some families like to split up and one parent stay in the waterpark with the little ones while another rides coasters with the older kids.
  7. I believe at one point in time mustache rides were on the dessert menu.
  8. If her twitter account is still up you should read through it a bit. Full on Q wacko.
  9. You obviously got to the display before this loon.
  10. From the faq Elsewhere the park has mentioned and has been extensively discussed on KIC the intent to monitor the location of guests to assist in crowd control. The main problem I see with this and have complained about for years is with location services enabled the app (both KI and CP) drain the battery at an alarming rate. I have noticed greater than 20% per hour in the past. This is a result of poor programming and utilization of GPS/Wifi and the app being unnecessarily chatty with the servers. Perhaps they have rectified the problems with the new updates this year, but if you choose to have location services enabled I would monitor the drain closely.
  11. What about the one by Diamondback and behind Jukebox?
  12. So they don’t have any drink refill stations open on 90+F days?
  13. Get ready? Its July! They have had months. Besides who doesn’t have an old T-shirt, napkin, bandana or rag they can use while they wait for their Etsy Bejeweled Mask? I saw them at the gas station today. SMH.
  14. Hmmm. Maybe they should jack up all the posted food prices on the menu boards but only make you pay the old price.
  15. Then there is Invertigo or that yellow thing on the beach at CP. My two cents.
  16. Corporations are people too. Where have I heard that before?
  17. @BB1 Why can’t every location have a Dinning plan option? Why can’t most options be on the Dinning plan unless of course they are significantly more than the standard food basket price?
  18. So much for that supposedly non-existent line for Dback.
  19. I don’t mind the constant updates on cycle times, keep them coming! But a separate thread for that would be better.
