  1. “Social media” is just not a statistically representative sample. It may give you a sense of how your hardcore fans view things but not the general public. People also tend to complain online about this or that but that doesn’t mean they will actually cancel you. I am personally much less concerned about comfort wearing a face covering on a ride than just being in the park in general. On a ride there is generally a cool breeze, not so much huffing it on a midway or standing in queue.
  2. So let me get this straight. You think they will be able to reach that limit if they change their policies? What policies? Face coverings? When all polls show the majority of the US supports face coverings?
  3. Fortunately KI does not want as much attendance as possible right now. If they did they wouldn’t be limiting capacity.
  4. I am not attacking you. I am adding context to misinformation. Nothing kills 100%, that doesn’t mean it isn’t effective. You are the one that said whatever they are using is more for show. That is a serious allegation. The Novel Coronavirus is not listed on the can because it wasn’t a thing when the can was manufactured. Try using some more up to date information. https://www.lysol.com/healthy-home/understanding-coronavirus/ What makes a product effective or not is the formulation. Just because it is generic or packaged for commercial use does make it ineffective. Again what evidence do you have?
  5. Latest Fox News poll Favorable opinion of people who wear Face masks: 80% https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fox-news-poll-voters-say-yes-to-face-masks-no-to-rallies
  6. Is there anything that kills it 100%? The concept of viral load is important here. 63.2% > 60% so meets the the test, what difference does the marketing label make? So you have evidence Dollywood is using ineffective sprays? Or is that just your guess? Is that based off anything more than just a “tiny label”? That is a strong charge to make against Dollywood with scant evidence.
  7. I think you just proved my point. If the park was forthcoming the truth is rather boring, by not being forthcoming it leads to speculation and sensationalism.
  8. Perhaps if the park was more forthcoming with those details it wouldn’t be such an issue.
  9. How is a statement like that vague? “Diamondback is down right now” seems much more vague that “Riders are stuck on the lift hill of DB”. If riders are stuck on the lift hill clearly the ride is “down” in that no more trains are being dispatched, but it actually provides some explanation for why the ride is down.
  10. @FUN&ONLY! Do you have any solid info that CW is going to open this season? Toronto isn't wasn't doing great last week and the Canadians tend to be more conservative in their approach to these kinds of things.
  11. Not how I would spend $50-$100. I suspect in many of those cases there is some priming going in the parking lot. Personally have never seen anyone at KI or CP I thought was intoxicated but I am sure it happens.
  12. You could always charter a helicopter and arrive at KI in style.
  13. They could cattle pen a fairly large section of Timberwolf for smokers. Has seats and plenty of room for distancing. Not exactly centrally located but would eliminate the entrance and exit hassle.
  14. One alternative for smokers is to pick up some nicotine gum or lozenges for the day. They do sell small packs.
  15. All depends if it is on the meal plan.
  16. How about LentenFest? They could have a fish fry on Friday nights and have everyone do 12 “stations” on Saturday.
  17. Afterburner fries? Must be made from jalapeños.
  18. I have never had any issues with the app.
  19. @BeeastFarmer Question on touching the mask. In reality masks are going to get touched, they slip down/up whatever, they need to be removed/moved for each sip of beverage, you get that really bad nose itch, etc. So in the real world (outside a clinical situation) what is one to do? Logically the way I see it is you need to consider your hands at that point contaminated and wash them or at minimum use sanitizer. Would this be correct, in the setting of a park, or should one do something different?
  20. I do not believe smokers are bad people. I am a bit biased in that opinion as I was a smoker for some 25 odd years. The act of smoking in areas that impact others is bad. However, the designated smoking areas in the park were/are insufficient, at least the ones I am aware off. If one walks by them, you are often hit with the smell. If you can smell the smoke, you are breathing it in. I do hope the park can create an area for smokers that does not impact others but from a practical standpoint I do not see how that can be done anywhere near the front entrance. We shall see.
  21. Not talking down to you or treating you poorly. This is not about you personally, it is about your cynical views.
  22. This is one of the most ridiculous takes I have seen on this thread. Not knowing how to wear a mask properly is a function of poor messaging and example setting from our leaders, hardly virtue signaling. I would also fault video media for not running more demonstrations on proper construction and use although print and digital have run many good articles. Nobody likes wearing a mask, it isn’t fun.
