  1. I myself used to be a Trekkie. Back in my middle school days I was a big TNG and Voyager fan (Kill me later, I liked it ). I watched a couple episodes of Enterprise, and was turned off. They really need to give Rick Berman a rest, as well as the series. It seems P-mount is sucking Star Trek dry, and they need to give it a rest. Nemesis was alright, but could have been better. ~S~
  2. While I'm suprised that CP took the Huss plunge, they could have at least used a different paint scheme. ~S~
  3. Tiny... stop taking Drew's quotes. It's bad for you. ~S~
  4. D/SS-The only place where you can be a big swinger and a big shooter and not get in trouble! Sorry.. had to go with my crew pride. ~S~
  5. Yeah...by then it really starts to crawl. Then again, if you're a PKI associate, training and other things help ease the off season blues a little. I'm in no hurry... ~S~
  6. As for me.. I stumbled on PKIU in it's heydey. Then I slowly learned of PKIC and EPKI. Fun times. ~S~
  7. Yeah, the Train speed threw me off too. If it really went that fast, it would probably derail. But we all know it will never go that fast. ~S~
  8. I liked the Season Tribute. Almost brought a tear to me eye...lol. Kinda makes people long for PKI more. Ah well.. paitence is a virtue. Downloading the Eagles tribute as we speak. ~S~
  9. Ouch, I have officially been roasted. Please pardon my ignorance in that sense. It was mostly me using my visit to CP as a base for my argument. I failed to realize what he mentioned. But yeah. I don't even want to think about TRTR at the moment.. But anyway, Boddah makes a good point about safety and capacity. If we have that kind of happy balance with those two things... we can be safe and efficent. ~S~
  10. This is very true. I didn't really see much of height checking when I was at CP either. Most of their associates just looked disjointed and bored. On top of that, they are not as hawkish as we are about the handrails. I only heard the op at Big Wheel mention anything about the "Silver Railing". But anyway, on top of their maintanence issues (*cough*TTD Cable*cough*), they need to watch their safety. I would rather have to wait in line a little longer than fly out of the train. Back here, if we even miss a seatbelt, we get written up. Not to say they don't have a safety policy, they're just not as attentive as we are. ~S~
  11. AZ didn't really see many internationals outside of sends, now that I think of it. But back to the subject of capacity, you also have to figure in crew chemistry. If a crew doesn't get along, work properly, or just plain doesn't listen to anybody, capacity usually goes down. I didn't see much social interaction at CP, but I have seen some at PKI sometimes. Y'know... being an associate and all. lol. But here's a little tidbit I heard from word of mouth about CP's safety... take it with a grain of salt. "Capacity is more important than safety" O_o ~S~
  12. For me, I'll be trying to find a job here on campus.. survive this quarter so I can go to columbus, and play massive amounts of Halo 2. Oh Xbox Live, how I love thee. ~S~
  13. Ah yes.. my idiot brother is at it again. I really wish he'd stop it with the freakin horns. ~S~
  14. Let's see.. Top Gun Anthem Pee Wee's Big Adventure (I think.. watch the getting up scene.. it's that music.. lol) Rocky Forrest Gump That's about all I can think of at the moment. ~S~
  15. And God Bless those Bucks. But one question arises: Will PKI keep up with the theming of this coaster? TR TR used to be a great effects ride, but half of them do not work at all. I give these effects 3, maybe 4 years tops. ~S~
  16. FYI Hos.. I'm not voting. I think both candidates are crapheads and not worth my vote. ~S~
  17. I own a 12" iBook G4. It's not that bad, and OS X is slightly better in Windows in some ways. I like them both. And I have a 3G iPod. So I'm a slight Applehead. Anyway, for the Mac users that don't know OS X that well. You can get a screenshot of your Desktop by hitting Command (the cloverleaf thing), shift, and three. That's one thing I'm kinda iffy on with Macs, but I'll live. ~S~
  18. I think I'm the only person on these forums who use a Mac. Though I own a windows computer, I'm just on my iBook right now. So you're getting my iBook desktop. Witness Mac OS X. Mac Desktop ~S~
  19. I don't really post that much around here.. but reading PKI_Man's Posts.. he's so full of BS. ~S~
  20. I agree. It reeked of diaster the minute I heard of it. That's all I'm saying. ~S~
  21. I'm not to fond of this Marquee myself. It's nice that we're still going to Hollywood up the park, but in my opinion it looks like crap. This is taking the Hollywood theme a bit too far. What is the park going to do in the long run when they decide to drop the whole Hollywood motif? They should have went for something that fit the park's personality, not Paramount's. ~S~
  22. Ah, kind of like how giant buildings have to sway to prevent from breakage. Had me worried there for a second. ~S~
  23. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_pa...ds/kidtrack.cfm Cedar Point has something similar to this called KidTrack. Details are on the page. Although I think it's a good idea overall. It would cut down on the guest visits to Guest Relations concerning lost individuals. Should be chain-wide. ~S~
  24. Ooh... here's some Duhlee specific questions that I've encountered: What does this thing do? *Sees Delirium swinging* WHOA! I'm not riding that thing! "Am I gonna die/fall out ?" "Does this thing go upside down?" "Have people puked on this ride before?" There are some ride specific questions too.. like seating, speed, etc. Those don't bother me as much. Then there's the singing cats on QTV. You cannot deny the addictiveness of Chaka Khan.. "Ch-ch-ch-chaka Khan!" Don't forget Tom Crooze either! "We'll call it Kickin' Impossible!" ~S~
  25. I couldn't stand the way DZ does things, so I chose to do Space Shot (Shot up) on Power Tower (Made by our good freinds at S&S Power ) I was thinking it was going to be as intense as DZ, but I was wrong. It's actually pretty light compared to DZ, and it's actually (Dare I say it) more relaxing than it is thrilling. lol. My goal for that day was to cram as many coasters as I could. I wanted to ride Magnum, but I didn't have the time. That and seeing WT shake in the breeze like that just made me wonder.. ~S~
