I could throw Leviathan in there as well.

One of the names I came up with "Power Force" has sort of a sci fi feel to it.

It definitely wouldn't be Disney or Universal level. But if they do a sci fy themed giga, they should it right and have a nice themed queue.

Yes, but they do seem to be stepping it up in theming. It would be awesome if KI and CF did something like this. Especially with the whole X base theme. It would work great alongside FOF

I was thinking. Wouldn't it be cool to have a giant building for the queue line all the way up to the station especially for an Xbase theme. Look at how Disaster Transport used to be at Cedar Point. Yes it would be very similar to FOF, but I think it would be a nice duo where the themes could cross over. It would actually fit the name Power Force I came up with.

I don't want a 200 foot camel back hill. I think it should stay a little more low to the ground like Fury and focus on speed. I do think it should have some camel back hills, but not that high.

What if the old Firehawk photo building becomes a food stand for 2019. They seem to be doing work in it. So maybe we'll get a new food stand in 2019 along with the antique cars. I've had this theory for a while that the next several years will be focused on the whole Coney Mall/Xbase/Oktoberfest area of the park.

Alien would be a perfect name with that color scheme.

Agreed. I actually would like it to become a queue house. That would make waiting in line on sunny hot days not as miserable. Plus they could go all out in theming with it!

Banshee is actually a reddish purple or what Don calls "Mystic Red" (Banshee 2013 construction tour). This is 100% purple with black supports. It's supposed to be a space/sci fi themed coaster.

Using @sixohdieselrage pic. Full credit to him. I decided to use it for my latest giga concept on how it would look facing the river! I give you Vision Force!

It's still super successful because of how it is a destination park. Sandusky is also a tourist town with the resorts and stuff. People like going to the middle of Lake Erie on that peninsula.

I honestly like Cedar Point's location. Yes, Sandusky is a small town with a bunch of factories. Cedar Point had always been a destination place ever since it opened. It was originally supposed to be a vacation spot on Lake Erie where people could come and swim in Lake Erie.

Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18
Isn't the 1991 Dinn Coaster Mean Streak?

Firehawk Leaving Kings Island 10/28/18
Remember plans can change. Maybe KI decided that it would take a little too much time to dismantle it and they want to get it down as fast as possible.

What do you think KI would get in 2020?
I've been hearing rumors that they are going to tear down the SOB station so that they don't have anything related to SOB.

I'm getting a little tired of making the giga concepts for now. I'm taking a break. I'm also gearing up for April when we start seeing construction at the park. I'm sure opening day 2019, most enthusiasts will be headed to FOF first to check out the Firehawk plot of land.

How was your 2018 season?
Hawaiian Coasters 325 had a great season at KI. I went to pass preview and was only there for a little bit. I got to ride Mystic Timbers and Beast. I also got to meet a very popular social media star who goes to KI a lot (Nick Horton). Coney BBQ was really good. They had pretty good ribs and the pulled pork is also amazing! In June, a youth group from a church in Indiana whose leader used to be the youth leader at my old church when I lived over there came and I tagged along with them to KI and it was fun. I knew a bunch of those kids from when I lived over there. The only thing I had to put up with was them constantly asking me questions and them expecting me to know the answer for everything since they knew me as an enthusiast. Since Banshee was a walk on a lot this year, I got to marathon it several times. I got to attend Haunt a few times this year, but didn't go into mazes. I also got to go to Cedar Point on a Friday in August. I probably picked the rainiest day of the year to go, but I got to ride Steel Vengeance and when the rain finally cleared up, I got to ride with no lines. I then went to KI on the last day of the regular season and originally Firehawk wasn't going to open, but it was amazing that they finally got it up and running so I got to get one last ride in. I only got to go to Winterfest once, but it was good. I got to ride Mystic Timbers in the back row in the cold and it was Insane! Probably the best ride I've ever gotten on MT. Anyways 2018 was a good season and am excited for the 2019 season!

Next NEW Coaster
I was thinking something like Copperhead Strike in Oktoberfest as the next coaster after what's going in Firehawk's plot of land (hopefully giga, but could be a wing).
-
Future plans for Firehawk's station discussion
I know everyone wants a giga and so do I, but I definitely would not count out a B&M wing coaster. That would actually fit well with what they are talking about with the Xbase signs. Look at Xflight at Six Flags Great America. Plus they could break the records from GateKeeper with it if they wanted to.

Ask Kings Island a Question
You can refill your drinks in Action Zone, if you can stand waiting in a clustered chicken shack that is always noisy.

You down with S-N-OO-P?
PBS Kids Island anyone?? Curious George ride, Super Why ride, Clifford Ride, Caillou Ride, etc! Probably Just me, but I grew up with PBS Kids and was obsessed!

Oktoberfest Discussion
I honestly have been thinking the next coaster after whatever goes in Firehawk's location should be in Oktoberfest. I honestly think they should relocate the latter game. Maybe even relocate Slingshot. I think the coaster could run over the pond near Viking Fury. There are two options I thought of. You could do a Mack Double Launch coaster like Copperhead Strike over the pond and give it a nice Oktoberfest style theme or you could even do a B&M dive coaster there and have an underwater tunnel like Yukon Striker. I don't see Viking Fury going anywhere, but they can work around it. But that would be the big way to start upgrading Oktoberfest. Then maybe some flat rides in that area. My theory is that the whole Coney Mall/Xbase/Oktoberfest area is going to be the main focus over the next several years.

KI's GM Mike Koontz actually at coasterstock announced that he recommended to the board of Cedar Fair to invest in a giga coaster for Kings Island so they already do realize how good of a fit a giga would be. Hopefully Cedar Fair agrees.

The Giga Speculation Thread
I was thinking. Does the giga (if it is a giga) necessarily have to start in the old Firehawk entry area? I know this sounds unusual, but there is that land on the left side of FOF where you can have a station there and have the lift hill go overtop the FOF building and drop into the Firehawk area. Plus an upside is they can connect Xbase to the main midway (oktoberfest). Heck, they could even give the giga an Oktoberfest style theme. They could also do what we've been speculating which is turn the Firehawk station into a Haunt. I will be coming out with a concept with an Oktoberfest style theme with this idea. I'm just saying that they don't necessarily have to use the old Firehawk entry area as the entrance to the new coaster. During the season, they could turn that area where Firehawk's entrance was into like a viewing area where you can watch the drop. And at Haunt, use the Firehawk station for Haunt.
