  1. I'm going to the park this week, I'll get a picture.
  2. @collin.klopfstein They were baseball caps. The font iirc was basically exactly the one that says Space Age in the last screen cap under "15 Free Techno Fonts". I hadn't thought about it maybe having something to do with Space Beagle, but for what it's worth it definitely didn't look that way to me. There was no branding on it whatsoever besides "Kings Island".
  3. Next time in the park I'll try to get pictures of this, but I saw a couple hats at the emporium that I thought were interesting. They were covered in reflective silver material and had Kings Island written on them in a Sci-Fi looking font, one of them had a bill with a Nebula patten on it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, are those new this season? I'm wondering if they had something to do with the new coaster, they didn't have FoF written on them or anything.
  4. I mean I don't know what the reasoning is I'm just telling you that's the decision that was made. Not sure why everyone is in such a hurry to kill this thread though.
  5. Per mods we won't be doing a construction thread until after the announcement.
  6. Ok so this has all gotten out of hand. All of this started because someone said the thread was inactive yesterday. No one is upset because they saw their Christmas present or whatever. The unpleasant tone this thread 's developing is totally unnecessary.
  7. That definitely sounds like it was fun and it would be cool if it was all a little tougher to figure out, but it's just really hard to keep things under wraps these days with information so easy to access. iirc people knew the manufacturer before decoding even started.
  8. Changed it to "many", which I would say is reasonable. My point is, it's not a great ride KI deserves better.
  9. I guess I just don't get this mindset. If the information is out there and available, I don't see why you wouldn't want it posted in a thread thats entire purpose is figuring out what kind of ride Kings Island is building. How would this process have been more interesting if we decided to remain blind and just guess the whole time? All I'm saying is that it seems weird to open up a decoding thread but then act as if people did something wrong looking for answers. Don't misunderstand, I see how it could spoil the fun for some people, but I guess my advice would be, don't visit the decoding thread?
  10. If no one from here did it, I'm sure someone else would've. Those plans were bound to show up on some YouTube video or r/rollercoasters regardless. I still think there will be more discussion taking place when/if the park ever starts a teaser campaign. We still don't know what the name is for sure, or what the theme is.
  11. I wasn't here back in 2013, but are you telling me that if I go look through the Banshee decoding thread, there wouldn't be blueprints there? I know a layout showed up in the Mystic Timbers thread as well. I think it made perfect sense to go check the blueprints seeing as the whole idea was to figure out what they're building. Mostly I just wish the thread was still more active I'm not really bummed we already know what the ride is. I do think this would all be a lot more interesting if the park was teasing the thing though. Kind of a bummer that we haven't seen any of that yet.
  12. This. When the park is packed it's fine, but it really is annoying when the park is slow and a separator is trying to send you to the middle row on Banshee when hardly anyone is in line.
  13. Agreed 100%. It just needs more.
  14. Oh it's more than just in our eyes. I would say Boo Blasters is objectively inferior. First time I got on that thing I was like "...what the **** is this?" Plywood everywhere, most of the targets don't even do anything when you hit them, that cheesy horrible video Skeletor looking thing that I guess is the bad guy? ...It's a county fair version of the MIB ride, and it hardly even works anymore. I get you though, my kids like it as well. @Maverick44 I'm with you! Don't give up the fight! #PhantomReturns
  15. Definitely also expecting some changes in X-base. That area just looks so...blah and strange right now so I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do. I don't know why they took down the arch but I sincerely hope they're planning on replacing it with something because it's just not a great look.
  16. Yeah watched that recently but it's boring as f***. They spend most of the episode running around the international restaurant like "Little giiirrrl" "Little girrrrrl are you here?"
  17. I get that they're probably going to want to install a Dive or a Wing at some point, but I really think the next ride needs to be something other than a B&M. I'm not a hater, I like B&M's a lot, but how many do we really need? Personally I really think an RMC makes the most sense given their popularity.
  18. Definitely disagree with the idea that we won't be getting another coaster for a long time just because cleaning up I Street and bringing back KMAA brought some people to the park, that makes no sense to me. I do however think we probably won't see another at the rate we have been as of late. I'd say 2025 is probably pretty close to being a realistic time frame. I'd be surprised if we go any more than 5 years without an addition after Project X.
  19. I know right? We need teasers!!! Carnivale is over in a week so hopefully there will be something more to talk about before long.
  20. What kind of flat rides would you like to see? Also, do you have any thoughts as to what the park might need to round out it's coaster lineup after Project X?
  21. Over the past couple of years, I've heard enthusiasts from all over say what Kings Island really needed was a Giga to put it over the top. In 2020 that dream will become a reality! I'm wondering now what people on here think KI will need to fill in it's lineup after Project X opens next year. I know there are some that think it needs more coasters, while others will say they really need to focus on flats, so I'd like to structure the question this way: 1.What do you think Kings Island needs after Project X to fill out it's coaster lineup? It's fine to answer from an enthusiast perspective as I think trying to determine the best "business decision" is a much less interesting question. 2.What do you think Kings Island needs in the form of other kinds of rides? Personally after the Giga I think Kings Island could use an RMC. They're currently the hot **** and it just seems like they draw people from all over, plus I think it would be nice to see Kings Island build some more non B&M coasters for a while. As far as flats go, I think something similar to Finnegan's Flyer would be cool. What about you guys?
  22. Both of these coasters still feel great, but I also detect a much stronger rattle on both than I did last season, anyone else feel this way?
  23. It's only covered on top right? I maybe it's just a temporary staging area for events throughout the season? Not sure what else it could be for.
  24. Sorry for the double post but as to the original question, I think Boo Blasters days are numbered at this point. Anywhere I go where Kings Island is being discussed, I see loads and loads of complaints about this attraction and I'm sure the park is well aware. If I had to guess, it's on a list somewhere of things to be revamped within the next few years. As to when that will be, I don't have a guess except to say I'd bet it's sometime within the next 5 years or so.
