Kings Island losing B&M?
We already have a family suspended coaster, though.

What comes after the 2020 Giga?
Considering how much Cedar Fair is investing in water park expansions next year, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we get a water park expansion in 2021.

What comes after the 2020 Giga?
Yes, the cost for Lightning Rod was probably as high as it was because of the launch technology and the overall themeing Dollywood created for it. If we were to get a ground up wooden RMC with a 200ft-220ft tall chain lift hill, I estimate it would probably cost around 15-20 million depending on the length and themeing of the coaster.

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
Then would Apollo's Chariot not be considered a hyper?

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
Anybody else expecting Kings Island to change one of the webcams to face towards Coney Mall for construction? I could see Kings Island changing Mystic Timbers' webcam since that really only points towards the lift of MT.

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
I looked on RCDB and it said that Orion will have a lift hill height of 287 ft. Does anybody know where this was initially specified?

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
Actually scratch that. I thought you were talking about ride length instead of height.

Orion Coming to Kings Island in 2020
Kings Dominion still holds that record considering I305 is 5,100ft in length.

It would be interesting to see if Kings Island adds the same bin system that Yukon Striker uses.

Dorney already made their announcement, they're getting a new play structure for their waterpark. I believe Kings Island is the only park in Cedar Fair that hasn't made their announcement yet.

Future multi launch coaster
I won't mind a dive if it has the traditional OTS restraints instead of the vests.

So it's most likely we'll have the lift hill as part of our skyline by winterfest this season.

Yes. The brown track is for Hersheypark's Candymonium.

Is Kings Island a Have or a Have Not Cedar Fair park?
I would say so considering we get a new coaster about every 3-4 years.

I just searched Armageddon on RCDB and there is no coaster with that name. However, it's worth noting that there was an attraction named "Armageddon - Les Effets Speciaux" at Disneyland Paris that was just taken out earlier this year that was based on the film Armageddon. I'm not sure if Cedar Fair/Kings Island would be able to use that name considering Disney/Touchstone may still have the trademark active.

Prior to the 2019 season, I was thinking Supernova would be a good name for a sci-fi themed giga coaster.

What comes after the 2020 Giga?
I don't like the idea of Congo Falls getting torn out, but I know it's also not that popular of an attraction anymore so Cedar Fair may very well consider it. It may be a bit far-fetched, but if Congo Falls does get removed, I would hope that at some point in the distant future, Kings Island puts in a Mack Rides Power Splash or Water Coaster in Rivertown where the TR;TR building is.

What comes after the 2020 Giga?
There's nothing wrong with looking ahead towards the future. It's always fun to speculate what could be added to the park in the next five to ten years. As fun of a topic as it is, however, I do agree we need to keep this discussion contained in a single thread as not to bloat the forums.

What comes after the 2020 Giga?
1) RMC Wooden hyper coaster 2) Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster 3) Mack (but preferably Intamin) Multi Launch Coaster

What comes after the 2020 Giga?
Personally I would like to see a re-theming to Action Zone the next time we see a new coaster there.

Funny how we're going to have two blue and white gigas in the same state.

Decoding 2020
There was track delivered to Hershey not too long ago, so it's likely they're delivering the supports needed for the track there.

I think there's still a lot they could do with the theming if it's going to be based around a space theme. I could imagine sci-fi music being played all throughout the queue and lighting all throughout the coaster layout, making it one of the most magnificent coasters to look at during the night.

Decoding 2020
Right now, I don't have the concept of where it reuses the SOB station saved on this computer, but I have this alternate version that uses the land currently occupied by Invertigo/Congo Falls. I'll post the concept I had for the SOB station later if you guys want to see it.

Decoding 2020
I had a concept for a ground-up wooden RMC coaster that reused the old SOB station and went over the main entrance similar to Fury and GateKeeper. I was thinking it could go over 200 feet so Kings Island would reclaim the record for the tallest wooden coaster.
