  1. So would the 2026 All Park Passport add-on be active for the remainder of 2025 as well? I plan on going to Cedar Point in late August and I'm wondering if the 2026 All Park Passport would work for that, or would it only take effect at the start of next season? Edit: So it seems the Canada's Wonderland 2026 gold pass includes admission to all Six Flags parks without the all-park passport. I'm not sure if this is a Canada's Wonderland exclusive perk, or if this will apply to other parks as well.
  2. One main concern I have is that if you need to activate your all-park passport at your home park before going to other parks (Kings Island), if I wanted to go to a park like Carowinds or Six Flags Over Georgia in March, would I not be able to use the all-park passport there since Kings Island wouldn't be open for the season yet?
  3. I can't really speak for the old north toll, but I can remember the south toll was always backed up. You'd figure the south one would get more priority since groups coming in from areas like Cincinnati and Dayton were coming from the south.
  4. Yeah, I think it's about our turn to have an elite coaster with the word "Fury" in it. But then again, certain "circumstances" probably won't allow for it unfortunately.
  5. Another thing I wanted to add to this is that I feel Kentucky Kingdom might be a "safer" park for families compared to Kings Island. Even with the chaperone policy in place, it's not uncommon to see young, unruly guests causing problems for people visiting Kings Island. I know it's difficult for parks to control what types of people visit their parks, but it doesn't really seem like there's enough security to help enforce the chaperone policy. I've visited Kentucky Kingdom multiple times a year and for my recent visits, you can find security stationed all throughout the park, even on days where crowds are light. In addition to that, the type of troublemakers you would typically see at Kings Island aren't nearly as prevalent at Kentucky Kingdom. Personally speaking if I was a parent, I would probably feel a lot comfortable taking my kids to Kentucky Kingdom over Kings Island unless the latter could better enforce their security measures.
  6. To rub salt in the wound, build this haunted house in The Vortex plot.
  7. Also, for the Kentucky Flyer / SkyCatcher thing, I think the best course of action for those attractions would probably have them rethemed to fit in with the water park. Give SkyCatcher a parasailing theme and Kentucky Flyer a surfing or hurricane theme. Yes, I know it sounds weird to have two dry-park attractions themed to fit in a water park. Yes, I know SkyCatcher could probably be relocated quite easily to have it placed somewhere more logical in the park. However, I don't think Herschend is going to want to invest in relocating Kentucky Flyer. Coasters, especially wooden coasters, aren't as easy to relocate as something like a flat ride. It's definitely not impossible, given that Kentucky Flyer is a smaller-scale wooden coaster, but I'm not sure if the park really wants to go through the trouble of doing that just to make the water park more cohesive.
  8. Kentucky Kingdom's 2026 attraction has already been "revealed" online from shipping documents. I will post it in the spoiler below for those who don't want to be spoiled.
  9. There used to be a skybridge for White Water Canyon when the queue went through the area that's now taken up by Mystic Timbers. My guess is that when they rerouted the queue back in 2016, they probably didn't have the budget to build a new skybridge and opted for a train crossing instead.
  10. I remember Six Flags used to do their announcements later than Cedar Fair, so it's possible they might not announce anything until after national roller coaster day. (August 16th)
  11. I'm just going to be blunt. It would be a true embarrassment for Kings Island if they had to delay the 2026 family thrill attraction while Kentucky Kingdom opens their Vekoma SFC no problem. I could see that scenario swaying a lot of families in the KY/IN demographic to buy season passes for Kentucky Kingdom instead if Herschend does their marketing right.
  12. Apparently they needed to evac it. Looks like it's already back up and running.
  13. Yes, I do agree that Kings Island is still in a relatively higher standing in the Six.Flags chain. In my opinion, however, the quality has still gone down from where it was under Cedar Fair.
  14. This was exactly why I was advocating for a Vekoma Tilt coaster for The Vortex plot prior to the announcement of Siren's Curse. Although, I am thinking Siren's Curse is going to still be a somewhat significant draw for Cedar Point in the near future, due to the attention Gravity Maxx recieved from the general public online. Siren's Curse will be the only coaster of its type on this side of the planet (until Circuit Breaker opens), so until more tilt coasters open up, I think Siren's Curse is going to draw a lot of attention from people who want to get that Gravity Maxx experience here in North America.
  15. Nope. Unfortunately, Kings Island isn't Six Flags Over Texas
  16. Nope, that's already been disproven. Apparently it was a stack of sheet metal scaffolding.
  17. Probably, but I don't see this being another $25+ million investment like how Thunderbird was considering how long it took Holiday World to see the return on investment for that.
  18. This was spotted on the fence surrounding the former Raging Rapids attraction in the 4th of July section of the park. It's quite odd to see the park tease something that's still two years out, so perhaps it's going to be something major? What do you all think? (Credit to Hoosier2006 on Reddit for the image)
  19. I have not ridden Rapterra yet, but I have ridden the other B&M wing coasters in North America and I do think Thunderbird is the best of the four.
  20. I'm going to be honest, I think Saturday is going to be an especially rough day for crowds unless there's rain or storms in the forecast. If you can, try to park at the water park lot and enter through the Magnum gate. From there, you should go straight to Frontiertown and ride Maverick then Steel Vengeance as those rides don't have the best capacity and most people will want to start their visit at the front of the park. From there, go counter-clockwise throughout the park (CCMR, Millie, Iron Dragon, TT2, Valravn, Wild Mouse, GateKeeper, Raptor, Corkscrew, Magnum, Gemini). I would end the day by getting rerides on Steel Vengeance and maybe Maverick if you have the time. Again, I think Saturday is going to be a bad day for crowds, and I'm not sure if you're going to be able to do all of that in a single day, especially since you aren't going to be using Fast Lane. For Sunday, I would prioritize riding whatever you didn't get to ride Saturday. Also, I would hit up TT2 and Millie first on the second day as those rides have been notorious this season for maintenance issues, so it's best to rides those early before they go down.
  21. While we're on that topic, a Kentucky Kingdom gold pass is currently $115 and includes a free souvenir cup that gets you free drinks for the entire season. In my opinion, that's the best deal of the three.
  22. Correction: What separates a private family-owned company from a public shareholder-owned company.
  23. Credit to RrevinEvann on Reddit for this image This shows how Vekoma's 453m version of their SFC (Dragonflier) fits in the area cleared out by the front of the park. It's about a near-perfect fit.
  24. I assume it's going in the front area since that's where the teasers are.
