  1. This was spotted on the fence surrounding the former Raging Rapids attraction in the 4th of July section of the park. It's quite odd to see the park tease something that's still two years out, so perhaps it's going to be something major? What do you all think? (Credit to Hoosier2006 on Reddit for the image)
  2. I have not ridden Rapterra yet, but I have ridden the other B&M wing coasters in North America and I do think Thunderbird is the best of the four.
  3. I'm going to be honest, I think Saturday is going to be an especially rough day for crowds unless there's rain or storms in the forecast. If you can, try to park at the water park lot and enter through the Magnum gate. From there, you should go straight to Frontiertown and ride Maverick then Steel Vengeance as those rides don't have the best capacity and most people will want to start their visit at the front of the park. From there, go counter-clockwise throughout the park (CCMR, Millie, Iron Dragon, TT2, Valravn, Wild Mouse, GateKeeper, Raptor, Corkscrew, Magnum, Gemini). I would end the day by getting rerides on Steel Vengeance and maybe Maverick if you have the time. Again, I think Saturday is going to be a bad day for crowds, and I'm not sure if you're going to be able to do all of that in a single day, especially since you aren't going to be using Fast Lane. For Sunday, I would prioritize riding whatever you didn't get to ride Saturday. Also, I would hit up TT2 and Millie first on the second day as those rides have been notorious this season for maintenance issues, so it's best to rides those early before they go down.
  4. While we're on that topic, a Kentucky Kingdom gold pass is currently $115 and includes a free souvenir cup that gets you free drinks for the entire season. In my opinion, that's the best deal of the three.
  5. Correction: What separates a private family-owned company from a public shareholder-owned company.
  6. Credit to RrevinEvann on Reddit for this image This shows how Vekoma's 453m version of their SFC (Dragonflier) fits in the area cleared out by the front of the park. It's about a near-perfect fit.
  7. I assume it's going in the front area since that's where the teasers are.
  8. That's great! The newer SFC models seem to be a huge improvement over the older ones like Woodstock's Air Rail.
  9. If it was a minor crack, then welding seemed to have fixed it. Fury needed an entire new support, hence why that was closed longer.
  10. I'm not sure of the exact reason, but apparently they closed the TT2 midway last night and there were maintenance workers seen inspecting the spike.
  11. They must have painted that teaser recently because I was there last weekend and the Fearfall fence was blank.
  12. Also the fence is painted like a barn. Perhaps it's going to be something like barnstormer?
  13. From what I've seen, ads.
  14. A lot of wooden fencing around the front area of the park. Here is what it currently looks like near the former Cyclos and Prof. John's Flying Machines area.
  15. I was there last Saturday and the park was really quiet due to the rain, though most of the rides were still open (even WindSeeker) and the most I had to wait was like 15 minutes for The Beast.
  16. Well we already know of another park that's also closing, so already that's false.
  17. I'm thinking it could be enough land for a new flat ride or two, but I wouldn't expect something like a new coaster to go here.
  18. For reference, here's an overlay of all the rides that were either removed or relocated from the front of the park.
  19. Kentucky Kingdom held a live stream on Facebook celebrating the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Discovery Meadow. At the end of the live stream, the park announced they would be investing $14 million for next year and stated "We think that it's going to send everyone flying into 2026". My guess is that whatever is going to "send us flying" next year is probably going to be placed at the front of the park near Lightning Run, as many rides from that area were either removed (Cyclos) or relocated to Discovery Meadow. I will be at the park in the next few weeks to check out all the changes made with Discovery Meadow. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1AhsAkKcLj/
  20. I remember as a kid thinking of them as one big Beast family back when they were all still around. The Beast being the grandfather, The Beastie being the grandson, and the Son of Beast being the deadbeat son!
  21. I'm starting to agree with what @Diamondback_Is_King said. My current prediction is that the Skyflyer plot will be used for some Halloween Haunt 2025 maze, whereas the 2026 family thrill attraction will go somewhere else in the park.
  22. Looking at how these paths were built at the start of the season before anything was built there, it's giving me Haunt Maze vibes. Maybe they could be relocating Cornered there or putting in a new haunt maze altogether.
  23. It's probably not going to be a pathway connecting Banshee/Bat with Drop Tower. Those new paths look far too narrow for that.
  24. As much as I hate to admit it, I think you are correct in your analysis that Kings Island has peaked. We have steadily been seeing the park cut back on multiple aspects such as operations, hours, and new additions and I don't think that's going to improve anytime soon. With the merger between Six Flags and Cedar Fair, the new Six Flags chain seems to be currently prioritizing bringing up select legacy Six Flags parks up to the standards that was set with Cedar Fair. Parks like Great Adventure, Magic Mountain, Over Texas, and Over Georgia seem to be positioned to be getting heavy investments for the next several years. Parks like Kings Island, even though it's still one of the better parks in the chain, won't get as much focus since Six Flags has already built that park up to their standards.
