  1. Yes. The brown track is for Hersheypark's Candymonium.
  2. I would say so considering we get a new coaster about every 3-4 years.
  3. I just searched Armageddon on RCDB and there is no coaster with that name. However, it's worth noting that there was an attraction named "Armageddon - Les Effets Speciaux" at Disneyland Paris that was just taken out earlier this year that was based on the film Armageddon. I'm not sure if Cedar Fair/Kings Island would be able to use that name considering Disney/Touchstone may still have the trademark active.
  4. Prior to the 2019 season, I was thinking Supernova would be a good name for a sci-fi themed giga coaster.
  5. I don't like the idea of Congo Falls getting torn out, but I know it's also not that popular of an attraction anymore so Cedar Fair may very well consider it. It may be a bit far-fetched, but if Congo Falls does get removed, I would hope that at some point in the distant future, Kings Island puts in a Mack Rides Power Splash or Water Coaster in Rivertown where the TR;TR building is.
  6. There's nothing wrong with looking ahead towards the future. It's always fun to speculate what could be added to the park in the next five to ten years. As fun of a topic as it is, however, I do agree we need to keep this discussion contained in a single thread as not to bloat the forums.
  7. 1) RMC Wooden hyper coaster 2) Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster 3) Mack (but preferably Intamin) Multi Launch Coaster
  8. Personally I would like to see a re-theming to Action Zone the next time we see a new coaster there.
  9. Funny how we're going to have two blue and white gigas in the same state.
  10. There was track delivered to Hershey not too long ago, so it's likely they're delivering the supports needed for the track there.
  11. I think there's still a lot they could do with the theming if it's going to be based around a space theme. I could imagine sci-fi music being played all throughout the queue and lighting all throughout the coaster layout, making it one of the most magnificent coasters to look at during the night.
  12. Right now, I don't have the concept of where it reuses the SOB station saved on this computer, but I have this alternate version that uses the land currently occupied by Invertigo/Congo Falls. I'll post the concept I had for the SOB station later if you guys want to see it.
  13. I had a concept for a ground-up wooden RMC coaster that reused the old SOB station and went over the main entrance similar to Fury and GateKeeper. I was thinking it could go over 200 feet so Kings Island would reclaim the record for the tallest wooden coaster.
  14. Teasing for Banshee and Mystic Timbers started at the beginning of the 2013/2016 seasons. It's worth noting, however, that the 2013 and 2016 seasons didn't add any notable additions to the main park (excluding Tropical Plunge in 2016). This year, however, we have the addition of Antique Cars, the renovation of International Street, and The Beast's 40th anniversary. The likely reason we haven't seen teasers for 2020 yet is because Kings Island doesn't want the new coaster addition to overshadow everything that's happening at the park right now. My guess is that we won't see any teasers around the Firehawk fence until late June at the earliest, with the announcement happening between late July and early August.
  15. From what we can see, Our giga's treble clef will go in the opposite direction from Fury's.
  16. Interesting considering Shambalah and Leviathan opened the same year, yet Leviathan had the 4-across seating.
  17. I was thinking the same thing!
  18. Yes that would be great
  19. Can't judge a coaster until we actually ride it for ourselves. I've been a lurker around here since 2016 and I remember a lot of people were disappointed about Mystic Timbers when that was revealed. However, once people actually got to ride it, many thought that it was the best coaster in the park. Even if this coaster is a bit shorter than something like Fury, i'm sure Kings Island knows what they're doing and they are going a deliver another amazing coaster for us to talk about for years to come.
  20. Seeing that the name is presumably either going to be Orion or Polaris, my guess is that the ride will be themed around a space voyage. There will probably be music playing throughout the queue similar to Mystic Timbers and lots of lighting at night. I think it would be awesome if Kings Island installed chase lighting throughout the majority of the track similar to Hangtime at Knotts.
  21. Now that I had a good time to look at the layout, I must say that the layout doesn't seem as short as I initially thought. It might not be as long as Fury, but it's still going to be a great addition to the park and I can't wait to ride it!
  22. Something I noticed when looking at the layout that was leaked on reddit, the picture cuts off right where we speculated the turnaround was, so is it possible there could still be more to the layout that wasn't shown?
  23. You could say it looks.... intimidating...
  24. Personally I don't mind if it's a 200ft wing coaster and not a giga, whatever it ends up being will be a very welcome addition to the park in my opinion.
  25. We can see that whatever this mystery coaster is will be using a lift structure similar to Leviathan and Fury, yet the ruler suggests that the lift structure is only going to be around 200ft in length, which is about half the length of Fury/Leviathans lift structures... This entire situation is quite the enigma...
