The memories of being woken up at the crack of dawn to the very very loud sound of Son of Beast's lift hill. God that thing was so loud.

Top Thrill 2 and Fastlane

ELTORO RYAN's recent video really seemed to indicate, without explicitly saying, its an issue with the wheels. In the video he keeps saying "I cant say what I know but I have information from a reliable source" while showing multiple close up shots of the train's wheels. -
Great Smoky Mountains Mountain Coasters

There wasnt anyone infront of me. I think I was only person on track, maybe couple people behind me at the start. I think it slowed me down due to speed. I held that baby full pull whole time. Could be my weight 280lbs with too much momentum the sled knew I was going too fast haha -
Great Smoky Mountains Mountain Coasters

I rode Goats on the Roof's coaster last year. Was fun until it auto slowed down my sled. The goats and funky store at that location was worth the stop alone. -
Went to WinterFest last night. Park looked great. We were only there for a couple hours. Kinda busy but not outrageous, still had fun. I couldn't confirm but is Mystic Timbers running 2 trains? If they were I didnt notice much of a reduction on capacity. The line moved pretty quick, could been no Fast Lane making up for it? One nice thing about 2 trains is less waiting in the shed. Seemed like you rolled right into the last part of shed and the show started within a few second.

I say Voyage is 100% a woodie. Wood topper track makes it a woodie. Steel support structure has minimal impact on ride experience. It is done for costs and assembly.
-
It will. Voyage has everything you want in a woodie.

Lightning Rod at Dollywood Update

The coast up over hill was a bummer when I rode it. Still stand by my thoughts that the chain lift could be an upgrade. -
Lightning Rod at Dollywood Update
tks944 replied to Orion-XL200's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Originally the launch went up to the top of lift hill right? Then it got changed to about 3/4 of lift hill was launch with a coast over the crest. If the high speed chain lift is actually high speed then this change could be an upgrade. -
Probably still dont know if they will have enough employees to cover every haunt attraction.

Kings Island NEW Adventure Express POV COMING WEDS!
tks944 replied to RedSummit20's topic in Kings Island
Its speed up right? Seems to be running a little quickly lol. Also the stabilization of the camera is dialed way up, makes it seem like the ride is actually pretty smooth. -
I am talking about when the time comes for KI's new coaster. I don't care what Dorney gets. Good for them to get a coaster but the next KI coaster better not be super short. Also I just watched the POV and the ride time is only 30 seconds from drop to brake run.
-
Another super short ride bought by Cedar Fair. I know Dorney is a small park but this trend of going cheap and short seems to be the norm now. I hope The Vortex replacement doesn't go that way. Make us wait a couple more years to spend the extra $10ish million if you have to.

What would be one thing you’d change operations wise?
tks944 replied to SonofBaconator's topic in KI Polls
Especially with White Water Canyon's and The Bat's super long lines. I have been on the ride with no line and when I get back to station I ask to re-ride but they do not allow so have to walk about a half mile to get right back on the ride while multiple empty rafts/trains go around the course. -

Potential 4th/5th coaster for Planet Snoopy?
tks944 replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Coming Attractions
The operations on the wild mouse up at Michigan's Adventure was killing me. Waiting for 10 minutes to get off the ride was torture. I think it had 7 cars? 1 loaded ready to go up lift, 1 unloaded in station, 1 unloading in station and the rest stacked up on the brake run. -

People are obsessed with the smell of splash mountain water so I can see people wanting to buy it. -
Just finished a short video on Blue Ice Cream. Any feedback is appreciated
tks944 replied to zac2211's topic in Kings Island
I thought blue ice cream flavor is a blueberry cream. Kinda like orangesicle but blueberry. Blue moo is a totally different flavor; more artificial, more cotton candy, little bit of a cake batter flavor. KI blue is more of a "natural" fruit flavor -
I just dont see the point of the disk. The rafts never leave the outside of the turn. Seems like extra material and a waste. Maybe its for strength? Maybe just for the experience of going around the disk makes you feel like you are going faster? Just a odd design to me.
-
Does anyone know what the reason is for the big open disk areas on the turns of newer water coasters? Like the one in video above? And some turns have them and some do not. For example Cheetah Chase at HW?

Has anyone tried calling that phone number?
