  1. I like it, but the only way we'd get a ferris wheel is if it was a giant.
  2. They're likely going to demo the parts near the station first. They need a clearing to tip it away from The Beast.
  3. I specifically remember hugging a ride op when I was an awkward teen back in 2012. Poor guy was like a deer in headlights. Just another day on The Beast crew, I suppose.
  4. If memory serves me correctly the Diamondback cam was the first put into operation when they started building it in the winter of 2008. I believe the other ones came online later during the construction of their rides. I'd need to be backed up though. I'm not entirely certain.
  5. They are newer and no water has gotten inside.
  6. The seasonal weather does effect moisture conditions in everything not climate controlled.
  7. The Diamondback cam has been hazy for years now. It has been running since 2008 after all.
  8. Just wait a few days. I'm sure we'll get a 240p video of some demolition crew member laughing while the lift hill crumbles to the ground.
  9. Be prepared to have your ears pop. That's the one reason I've only ridden it once.
  10. If you can see past the 11 years of lens fog.
  11. I'm going to assume it has something to do with putting less load on a part of the track after it. It could also be an attempt to make the final brake run crack less skulls.
  12. Carolina Cyclone's trains have fenders over the wheels.
  13. We're finally getting that brand new bathroom expansion.
  14. I'm guessing they don't anticipate particularly long wait times as the ride reaches a couple more years of age.
  15. Have fun with Orion. I'll be enjoying a the shortest lines for Diamondback ever.
  16. I'd say the massive empty lot is gonna be an overwhelmingly bigger eyesore than the Victorian station.
  17. It's historic to the park and roller coaster advancement as a whole. It's on the property and owned by the park, therefore it is completely valid to say that the historical value of the station offers significant reason for Cedar Fair to keep it.
  18. I'm not sure why it matters what those outside of the industry think when the park literally is the industry. If Cedar Fair considers it to be of historical value to their park, why would it be hard to believe that they would want to keep it for such a sentiment? Keep in mind that this is a company that has still kept the Son of Beast station after 10 years of being inactive.
  19. It housed the world's first suspended roller coaster. I think that's a pretty big piece to amusement park history personally.
  20. It's a bit big, but I suppose it's possible.
