  1. ...who aren't particularly into showers.
  2. That is exactly what I described on opening day when I left at 11. Entering cars were required to pass the south exit (which other cars were attempting to use an entry) before they were allowed to enter parking spaces. What will happen when you enter? Who knows? Surely the park won't pull that stunt again. Pushing entering cars across an exit is certainly inane.
  3. I thought he retired. Terp, running for the door.
  4. You might want to observe what is not being said and who is not saying it.
  5. More: http://amusementtoday.com/2016/04/mike-chance-loses-battle-with-depression/ So very sad.
  6. Six Flags also has much more visible and much more aggressive security presence in the parks. This is partly because of the often larger metropolitan areas where those parks are located. See also metal detectors. When a security incident does occur, Six Flags is very likely to publicize it and to prosecute and/or ban those involved.
  7. Last weekend, Saturday: "I liked this place A LOT better when Six Flags owned it. Too bad they lost it in the bankruptcy." "Let's go ride Son of Beast. It's in the back of the park now." "I used to really like the McDonald's here. Then they took it out and put in a Subway." "When I was a boy, son, Beast didn't have ANY brakes. And Racer went backwards. At Halloween, both sides did!"
  8. I'm always amazed the anti-gun groups haven't gone after amusement parks for "teaching our kids it's okay to shoot." Yet.
  9. Word is the Court approved the sales of two parcels of land: http://www.clpjunction.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=683&start=225 See Gore Range's post of today.
  10. I've already suggested those to the park. Problem is you then would have disabled cars sitting in the entry lanes. If the park had tried to poorly integrate the new entrance with the old south exit, it couldn't have done a better job at creating unnecessary confusion and opportunities for purposeful or inadvertent parking toll skipping.
  11. Everyones?"Predictions?" Terp -- who likes to ask questions
  12. And are subject to change at the park's every whim and fancy.
  13. I've NEVER understood people who ride coasters with their hands up. EVERY single person I ever knew who cracked or broke a rib on a coaster (usually Raven, go figure) had their hands up. It certainly does not make for a more pleasurable ride. I always figured those who do so never got past the "Look Ma, no hands!" stage.
  14. I hope and trust they used the donations to fix the issues, not to pay the fines.
  15. As you discovered, there IS a reason for the recorded announcement on the second lifthill.
  16. I referred to in park entertainment--NOT just shows in theaters. Roving entertainment, shows set in the park itself, etc. As for shows IN theaters, perhaps the best in the seasonal industry can be found at Fiesta Texas (and Dollywood).
  17. And enforcing no running at park opening... Line management for new rides, including serially numbered boarding passes. If 1012 is being served, and you show up with 1386, you will get locked in the train, security will come, you will get two choices: prosecution for trespass or an agreed upon ban from the park.
  18. 1. Food Service. 2. Season Pass Sales and Interpark Admissions. 3. In park entertainment (not just shows in theaters) 4. Something for EVERY park EVERY year. 5. Treatment of full time employees, from pay to working conditions. 6. Stockholder relations.
  19. The next hearing in Federal Bankruptcy Court is scheduled for tomorrow. In court filings, among other things, the Trustees have admitted they do not have the ability to generate capital for the ongoing concern while also paying off the debt. Gary Harris, a former owner (among other things) has come out of the woodwork to object to any land sales. And so it goes...
  20. You expected them to apply Stain Chaser? Terp -- running for Crittenden (or is it from? I forget).
  21. I'm over here. In 2016. It's even more so now. I'm trying to behave. Honest.
