  1. CGA? That's a coaster? The one PR used to market as "bumpy?"
  2. 14 minutes to pay for two slices of pizza at LaRosa's. I paid, tossed, and left. It was stone cold by then. I had told the cashier. She shrugged. In front of me? Two people buying refillable cups. Pitiful. Now at Putz's Creamy Whip.
  3. And KECO, Carl Lindner, CBS, VIACOM...
  4. Exiting the park at 11 AM is a nightmare. Two lanes of incoming cars, a police officer stopping DOZENS of cars from coming in the exit free (I watched at least six come in that way at 8:50.) Cars honking, horns beeping, traffic cones... CLEAR signs pointing to use this exit. And the line of cars to get in was backed up at least half a mile on Western Row. Sad.
  5. Uh--what the pass SAYS means nothing. It's where it was renewed. I have a Dorney Park and Wildwater Kings Island Soak City Kingdom Platinum Pass. It SAYS Dorney Park. Renewed at Kings Island, it became a Kings Island Platinum Pass. Sort of.
  6. It's generally best to carefully interpret what is not said. Watch what they do, not what they say.
  7. For many years, the Platinum Pass itself often wouldn't work at all at at least some other Cedar Fair parks. At least that situation seems to have improved.
  8. Mine's only a 2010. Helpful Terp.
  9. Yuck. A cold Subway sandwich. I'm almost afraid to ask how much that is now.
  10. There was a nice girl stamping hands at the exit. On season pass preview night. My head hurts.
  11. A. Location, location, location. B. If it is to be a theme park, why has no experienced operator stepped up? C. Government owned/operated/subsidized parks have not had a good track record. The Wheeling, West Virginia park, the Nebraska effort, Playland in New York State, Hard Rock Park, and perhaps most of all, Visionland in Alabama...Kentucky Kingdom, and now Conneaut Lake Park as a "charitable" trust. D. High crime area. Theme park. Does not compute.
  12. Too bad their chili is so mediocre. In my opinion. Outstanding donuts at Daylight...
  13. I don't know. I cannot possibly imagine being locked into a dining plan with service, quality and selection like this.
  14. The makers don't seem to be the problem. The cashiers/order takers... Glad I went to The Taste That's Taking Over. And better quality, assembly, cheerfulness and service than in the park. Even after leaving a 80 percent tip, it was cheaper than Skyline in the park. And at least 4 waaaays better!
  15. For rides, maybe. For food? No way, José.
  16. Oh, yeah, my Dorney Park and Wildwater Kings Island Soak City Kingdom Platinum Pass scanned perfectly at the gate. The lines at both Skylines were beyond silly. The LaRosa's in Rivertown had pizza meals sitting under the lights--and was locked tight as a drum. The Juke Box Diner, ditto. A lot of opportunities to take in cash from guests--from games to restaurants, were closed. The soccer place seemed to be doing a good business. I will likely go back tomorrow, but will probably Putz around at lunch. Including travel time, it'll likely be faster...and better. Part of a best day ever.
  17. The Gold Star on Socialville-Foster is having no such issues. Vortex three times (5-1, 7-1, 1-1) with an understanding friend, Beast front seat, Flight of Fear, Racer 1-3, Boo Blasters (right side gun dead--it's at least 115 in most of it. Ugh.), aborted Eiffel Tower attempt. Tomorrow. Enough today for this old guy. And, oh yeah. 35 seconds to scan a pass for parking at the front gate. And heard of people driving IN the old exits. And the Soak City way. The tolls and entry clearly need work.
  18. So, can Ken and his husband Michael, legally married under Federal and State law, work there?
  19. Is that like extra credit? Terp -- who likes to ask questions.
  20. Mr Gene's for the chili dog, then swing down to the next exit for Putzs And thank YOU. I still prefer Putz's, but I'm odd. And the manager took a picture of my tags. He seemed very pleased that I told him it was much better than Ben's Chili Bowl. It was.
  21. Shortest post I've ever seen. Period.
  22. Thank you. And thank you again. burp
