2015 KIC Off Season Poll Series Week IX: 2016 Priority Parks
The Interpreter replied to BB1's topic in KI Polls
Things have changed dramatically since my original post in this thread. Now: Kings Island Camden Park NJFTP, maybe. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Lakeside Lagoon Six Flags Discovery Kingdom California's Great America Disneyland California Adventure Scandia SeaWorld San Diego Belmont Park Six Flags Magic Mountain Silverwood We'll see. Priority one is finding semi-reasonable, safe housing in or not too far from San Feancisco. I also believe in the Easter Bunny. -

Paula is VERY good at what she does. PR Goddess indeed. Words chosen by...oh, I'll stop there. Yep, perhaps the best in the Nation at what SHE does.

Yeah, sounds like spin for "We are neutering the ride to reduce maintenance costs, since the other idea didnt work out as planned". Im definitely looking forward to riding RF II this summer for the first time, because I have heard a ton of really good reviews. I never said it was sustainable! Somehow Raven and Legend escape typical CCI and GG troubles. Actually, they don't. Each has cost a small fortune to maintain. Raven loves to develop potholes and didn't I read something about a lot of redo on Legend this year? I wonder why that could be. Hmmmm.

VR coming to 9 Six Flags Coasters

Both the UK and EU have laws very similar to the ADA. Terp -- who is not licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction beyond the bounds of The United States of America. This is not legal advice. Seek a competent barrister or solicitor in the UK if you have or think you may have a legal problem there. This is a disclaimer. -
Something Paramount Parks always did, and Dick Kinzel immediately greatly reduced. He innately knew what to do. Build coasters and raise food prices. "People gotta eat." "I am an operations guy, not a finance guy." "Get rid of those toys! [blackberries]"

So out of control the park is now using the mid-course brake. For guest comfort. Sound familiar?

Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?
The Interpreter replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I can't make this crap up: http://www.clpjunction.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=683&start=195 The Park Trustees want to reacquire the Hotel Conneaut and build a convention center. And they think IT will make money. Virtually every convention center in the country depends on government subsidies to stay open. These people are totally daft. -

Reasonable accommodation? Terp -- who likes to ask questions. -
Ravine Flyer II is NOT "just like a smaller Voyage." You see, Ravine Flyer II is a good--no excellent--coaster. Voyage is a hot mess. And that's being nice.
-
Indeed. Whatever it came with (and it was the PTCs), the park wasn't happy with the resulting ride/maintenance.
-
Voyage came with Gerstlauers. They didn't last long. Then there were Timberliners...sort of.
-
Like Hades.... (ugh). And Voyage.
