  1. Nah. Someone used a can of invisible spray on the rail. That is all. Seriously, though, it looked like something I'd find after hours of wondering why nobody was getting on my creations in RCT, waaaaay back long ago.
  2. It's a gap coaster! Get Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves on the phone!
  3. Why, my good fellow, it's a contraption that lets you see what's happenin' on the radio. Gonna be in every house east o' the Mississippi some day, just you watch!
  4. For those who are interested, get your canoe paddles and poster tubes ready... "Cincinnati Kids" is up next on MeTV...
  5. The 1950s-era silhouette people looked amused! Seriously, though, it looks like a fun, family ride.
  6. I dunno, some buildings in Vegas are deceptively taller than they appear. The Wynn and Encore are more than 614' tall, but look shorter because their exteriors, like those of the Bellagio, Treasure Island and others, which are designed to look "closer" than they really are, so that they don't seem as far away for people on foot on the strip (or so I've read)... See: http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/windows.htm
  7. Even in the highly unlikely event the clicks were to somehow fail, doesn't the tilt-back seat and overall coaster design minimize the risk of ejection?
  8. Is it just me, Or why does all the blue on Banshee Is now Purple? Certain background colors can affect hue perception... http://www.chromaflo.com/en-US/Industry-Leadership/Color-Theory/Appearance-of-Surface-Color.aspx
  9. Even here in the age of instant, straming video, it's still nice to see 1973 Kings Island in nice, clear, digital broadcast tv! Our favorite "Brady Bunch" episode will air nationally on MeTV next Sunday, April 6th at 12:30 EDT. http://metvnetwork.com/schedule/2014-4-6
  10. Thanks, Don! I just happened to be listening to "Train of Consequences" by Megadeth while watching that clip over and over again (pun intended).. Pumped!
  11. ...with your supervisor, who will just love being dragged in with you.
  12. When during the rare, one-day breaks of 70°+ weather, while working on your truck, you hear a summertime song, and the aroma of grease blending with that of sunscreen and someone's nearby barbecue lets you close your eyes and imagine being on Vortex. Dang this cabin fever! Dang it to heck!
  13. I'd like to try it, and perhaps a Strawberry/Banana Diamondback twist, maybe a Rocky Road/Coffee Beast twist, and who knows, a Raspberry/Orange Vortex cone might be tasty...
  14. Your welcome! But if you think those are funny, just wait 'til you get hooked on these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvJqvA0QU1g
  15. I remember the music playing everytime I rode The Beast last season. Independence Day was the best stupid movie ever made! It beat "Twister" for the Best Special Visual Effects Oscar, but if you want to know how it goes, find the official "long" trailer; it's pretty much the cliff notes. Great special effects; dumb story. Made me feel this way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0Cho9WeDBo
  16. LOL! But Bellagio? Meh. I don't care how "pretty" that set of robotic firehoses spewing recyled gray water is, it will never beat the splendor of my dear Royal Fountains. Never! Just kidding, though, I thought they were pretty impressive.
  17. I always seem to ride White Water Canyon at about the time the "US Squirtillery Battalion" shows up at the water cannons; often loaded with more quarters than I take to the freakin' laundromat, and possibly using some kind of laser aiming technology because every...freakin'....time!
  18. I'll probably just use my ZIP code ...EDIT: "And spend the next 37 days at LifeTime trying to get somewhere near this cut!"
  19. Judging by how my schedule is going, I'm just going to have the words "Approximately the ", and an arbitrary, random number between 20,000th and 50,000th and the word "Rider" screenprinted on the back of the Banshee Tee-shirt I bought back on the night of the big reveal.
  20. EDIT: I've grown used to "budgeting in" the walk time from deep in the parking lot over the last decade.
  21. I did not know a jump could be squared. ~coasterama, who is too intrigued by the 4:00 announcement to post anything else. Huss could square a Jump, with a Sledgehammer, no less.
  22. I think I want some afternoon coffee. I'm just not jittery enough.
