I think this is going to balance out the crowds a bit as the new season pans out, but initially the "scale" will tip in the direction of Banshee. I feel a good sense of balance now that there's an "anchor" coaster back in Action Zone.
-
Standing for two adrenaline-charged hours at the rope right behind the press pews, meeting enthusiasts and KICers, counting down to the exciting announcement of Banshee was truly memorable. Hearing the crowd's reaction when Greg let fly the introduction video, and the "columns bursting up from the ruins of SOB" was priceless! Oh, and watching riders of Delirium get an epic set of unique runs through stage fog and spotlights was pure Kings Island amazement (to borrow from CP's old jingle).
-
Looks like your garden receives a gorgeous sunlight angle right around X:0I in the morning! Seriously, your clock looks wonderful!
-
Welcome to KIC! That clock is part of Kings Island's personality. Like a certain band organ, even if it were to take a hiatus, it would soon be back, and in its full glory.

That's disgusting! There's no way; too messy! Half a bat? Look for an Englishman, 'bout 5'10", round dark glasses, long, black-dyed hair, mid-60s.

I think I may need to clarify something. 1. I mention having a huge bulldog at home; 2. DE makes a friendly reference to his own boxer dogs and asks me tacitly if my dog is as flatulent, perhaps, as his boxer dogs; 3. He asks in a way that has comic ambiguity: "How's the flatulence on your end?" 4. Seeing an opportunity to be funny, I answer "Yes," playing on the inherent -- albeit unintentional -- pun in DE's question. I appreciate the family-friendly tone of this site, and hope not to have offended anyone by going too close to "PG13."
-
Well, I couldn't get video like I promised, but instead here are some stills. Meet "Bing-bing:" and "Snorfaleepoo," reacting with excitement at the arrival of her new 'sis.'
-
Yes. -Tb, who keeps flatulence where it belongs.
-
I got a puppy! She's "Bing-Bing," a tiny (she actually is the size of a Coke can) Jack Russell Cur/Chihuahua mix that my wife brought home (along with a couple bags of new pet stuff). Now, I already own a 70-pound female American Bulldog named "Snorfaleepoo," who immediately adopted the puppy(!) and has taken on motherly (rather than the intended sisterly) duties of caring for the cute little new addition to our family. Despite their size differences, they already have taken to playing with each other, and the bulldog has mastered handling the cur with gentleness. Cuteness overload! Video will be shared in the coming weeks.

Cool how the Sling Shot ball looks like it's the car for some wild new kind of coaster! Forced perspective can generate some hilarious results.

Lucky! But from what I read in the papers, the Pacific sun may be a little hotter next year than usual... stay safe.

Look @ KI twitter, Don answered Lindz personally EDIT - Thanks. I guess my memory is getting a little blurred .

I'm almost 100% sure that the band organ was working during the 2006 season. It was also the final season movie themes were played over the Royal Fountains.
-
Sometimes a teaser video is just the tip of a much larger iceburg... what if the Band Organ is just a sampling of even more surprises in store? Yodle-a-hee-yodle-a-hee-yodle-a-he-hoo! Let the stoking begin!
-
Now that's what I call "heart" surgery! Another piece of epic wonderfulness from Don! The off season has brightened a bit.

When you go out and buy steak fries, nacho cheese and bacon bits, then extra large paper cups so you can have the "PotatoWorks" experience at home. Also, when you put on music you hear at Kings Island, burn some 'Fresh Grass' and 'Tropical Beach'-scented Yankee Candles (for that summertime fragrance), and watch as many HD YouTube videos of this and other parks as you can. Helps.

If I believed only in what I've been able to see, feel and hear for myself, I wouldn't have any faith at all. My teachers taught me how to combine shapes on paper to form logical patterns that can be understood by others as language, and I believed them. Faith. They taught me American history and I believed them, though I never stepped foot in Philadelphia or Concord, or even Washington, D.C. in my entire lifetime. Faith. I've been taught that the Grand Canyon was carved out of the American Southwest by the Colorado River over millions of years, and I believed them, though I've only been alive since 1969, and have only flown over the thing in a passenger plane a couple of times. Faith. I did witness, however, another canyon, with many features very similar to the Grand, being formed one afternoon in May of 1980. I mean, that wasn't a million years or anything, but at least I've lived long enough to watch one form more quickly... than I've been taught it takes. But that was mostly on TV. I've never been to Mt. Saint Helens. Faith. Nah, I don't believe they'll build it. I haven't seen enough evidence to form an opinion of whether or not it can, or will. ... Faith.

Thanks! Now I got that Train song stuck in my head! Nice pics! I love the overcast sky and barren trees; has a certain "Christmas is coming" feel to it.

I'm looking forward to Banshee and the Bengals-themed Flight Deck ( ). This might be the year for a Dollywood trip, but mostly looking forward to another season of home-park trips (Kings Island).
