You should install a nice, 5-chime steam whistle on your lawn mower for the complete package!

The Amusement Park World without Kings Island
Thrill_Biscuit replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Kings Island
Tower Johnny would probably still be alive. Evel Kneivel would have jumped buses elsewhere. Nick Lachey would be a country/western star. Thousands of couples who first met and fell in love at Kings Island would probably have never met, and thus thousands of you wouldn't even exist. Interesting. -
Tips for Introducing someone to coasters
Thrill_Biscuit replied to CharleyTheDinosaur's topic in Kings Island
What got me over fear of coasters was someone telling me it's just like sledding, but safer. EDIT: Not sure how to equate sledding with inversions, but once you got the basics down, everything becomes fun! -
For flats,... (an amalgam of "Glider" and "Hydra.")

When you live right next to the Mason-Montgomery Kroger, but go out of your way to the Kings Mills Kroger just to take in the views of the park (Tylersville approach or 741 approach, depending on the mood).

I'd love it if there was a linticular print of the logo, with the subtle movement of the hands and hair like in the intro videos! I've heard it's possible on fabric. (FTWDK ~ Lenticular printing is that 3D effect on some baseball cards and cereal boxes, etc., where it looks like the subject is moving, or is in 3d, or both).

Geauga Lake Documentary
Thrill_Biscuit replied to Ride On_17's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I'm tellin' you all, from the heart: Cherish now! Look around and enjoy fully the things you love. RideOn_17, thanks for posting this! -
Yeah, it's going to balance the skyline of the park quite well in my opinion. The (awesome!) view coming towards the park from 741 is going to be an excellent photography subject for sure, once that new gem is up (and, of course running)!

People OUTSIDE KI Say The Darnedest Things
Thrill_Biscuit replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island
So, I excitedly reported to a friend at work about the new Banshee. I spouted off specs and superlatives like the proud KICer that I am, heralding this magnificent, new attraction that will make us all proud, and will surely bring much good to my favorite park ever. What does the guy do? I mean, of the billion possible combinations of words this guy could have pieced together into an intelligent response to my well-articulated pitch, what do you suppose he chose to say? "Well, what do you think of Cedar Point? Have you been up there at all?" rrrRRAAAaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!- 305 replies

Very cool! Nice audio from "Darby O'Gill!"

In all seriousness, it'll likely be something so innovative, we haven't seen even prototypes yet.

Well, this truck is on its way to the construction site of the world's largest, animatronic facepalm...

DA was and is a very good investment! I actually like going into the quiet woods and viewing the well-crafted dinos. There's a certain peacefulness to it. Thankfully those disruptive, disrespectful smart alecs represented only about 1/2000th of the crowd, the overwhelming majority of which was more than cordial, and who seemed genuinely enthusiastic.

I don't remember The Bat killing anyone in the 1980s.

If I were to remove one or two beloved attractions to make way for a new coaster (*cough*Flyers*cough*), I'd probably pump up the public with lots o' good news first; and then gently introduce the rationale quietly.

Perspective Undependable = SBNO for half a season while costly kinks and wear are ironed out along hard-to-reach sections of the structure of a ride. Dependable = simple, low-cost repairs built into the design, allowing for 20-minute delays here and there.

Great video, Dane! For a second, I thought the guy's flash bar in front of you was part of the first POV

I loved it when Greg said "Time to let the cat out of the bag... or The Bat out of the cave..." and the crowd was like, "Awww, man?" And then the video with the crumbling SOB (wherever did they get that concept? ) and the blue columns came bursting out of the ground, followed by teaser bird's eyes with the superlatives, each greeted by loud applause, then finally, the new logo, met with the kind of roar you hear at Paul Brown Stadium after a TD... against the Steelers! Oh, man, this adrenaline is going to take awhile to settle down, which is a good thing; because I'm looking forward to the next rush of it next spring! Excellent, KI! Most excellent!
