On break I saw this and I went over and asked my Macaroni & Cheese guy about it; he said "Well, dang, I should have gotten my picture taken with it!" EDIT - I see it's this weekend. He'll be happy.

Small things that need changed at Kings Island.

Is the flower clock gone altogether, or just void of flowers (which I've usually noticed are planted later in a season)? -

Not every train on Adventure Express disturbs the Temple. Some riders get the cordial, convivial treatment and are allowed to pass through peacefully. Others are keen and cunning, like Indiana Jones, and are able to sneak through without waking its denizens.

Please, friends, remember that proper names should be capitalized. Thank you! Thanks, Mr. Helbig! Banshee makes me proud of our "home" park! She's a great addition; I can't wait to ride marathon!

I would hope that Vortex will be re-painted gray and re-named "Top Gun" long before it is removed.

Holiday World 2014 Park Map
Thrill_Biscuit replied to darkmarkman's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It seems that some ride concepts look great "on paper," or in computer simulations, perhaps, but wind up being headaches once constructed. I guess it will provide more data for future simulations to help fine-tune a new ride before physical construction. -
I would say that Banshee's construction progress is complete, tried and true. Now onto Opening Day, 2014, and the awesome season beyond, with thousands upon thousands of individual, first-person experiences of this new, amazing reality that is Banshee!

I always thought TV shows/Movies shot on soundstages/back lots looked fake and cheesy, and the backlot concept looked way out-of-place in Kings Island (very, very especially the freight-stack, LA Freeway design of BLSC, which I thought was like Action Zone creeping into the rest of the park. Ugh!). Kudos to Greg 'n Co.!

Thanks, milesharrison. I thought maybe some kind of night-theming instrument, but your explanation makes a lot of sense. (I mean, I've heard of reaching for a brass ring on Carousel, but catching a free bagel on an inverted B&M would be quite a novelty! )

I get the tombstone... but what is the mysterious, toaster-looking object before the "pretzel-like" element? Altered (cropped and arrow superimposed for discussion) Screen capture from youtube.com/watch?v=yOTgWr0J1Bw Original provider as credited: Kings Island YouTube uploader: Theme Park Review

Awesome once again, Kat! Thanks for the pic of The Bat cars... looks like pretty much just a change in color scheme (Vs. the molded bat-faced design of the 1981-era Bat), still I love the coaster's "new" identity!

♫ With the glass so dark thay won't even know your name. And the choice is up to you cause they come in two classes: Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses... ♫ -Tb, quoting ZZ Top

I love those massive, blue columns! Very sexy! er, I mean, "visually appealing." (sorry, honey)...

Other than the "screams," are there any other, unusual "occurances" [sic] happening in that area?

Thanks, Kat! What do The Bat's trains look like? I haven't seen anything yet.

No envy here. Our swing just had a new girl move in right next to him, while ol' maXair just has a bird. C'est la Vie!
