Finally! I am loving the off-season right about now. I am very anxious to see what it looks like once the whole thing is completed. Color does not matter to me at all, I am just glad she is finally getting the TLC she needs.

I cannot say I have ever seen the Mantis one, I have however watched the Raptor one plenty of times. It is very amazing to see how far animation has come. In the Raptor video the track looked so bland and bleak, lacking a lot of detail. Now look what we have, No Limits, RCT2, and other programs that can make you feel like you are right there on the ride. I love searching Youtube and looking up old commercials, CoasterFanatics.com has a lot of old commercials from many different parks.

Saw the photo on Twitter today. Look at it this way, we could be doing what CP is doing and dis-mantling a ride to make room for it. I think I will sacrifice a few trees for that. I wonder if they are going to go overboard with the amount of queue lines or leave it at a reasonable amount.

I am assuming that when the light curtain is triggered in the main fountains that all it does is shut down the fountains and alarm security. Am I correct here?

Here at Eastern Kentucky we have the basic 90-100 is an A, 80-89 is a B, 70-79 is a C, 60-69 is a D, and then anything below a 60 is considered an F.

After riding Voyage in the old trains, and it being one of the best woodies I have ever ridden, these new trains just make me crave next year even more.

I have noticed that everytime I ride Skyflyer, there is usually the same crew working the ride. I have seen a couple of new employees this year, but other than that, the same employees which tells me that they are good at what they do and most importantly, they can be trusted with such tasks that Skyflyer provides. How about Boo Blasters, I mean come on, the people that have to load and unload the carts, they have to walk around that rotating platform all day, talk about a workout.

Very true, we have had quite the themed queue lines, beginning with FoF and then with TR:TR. Now look at them, some theming still remains, but for the most part it is now gone. Such as on The Crypt, the doors no longer close to block off the pre-show, oh wait there is no pre-show, and as you said, it is so dark in there with no torch lights or anything. I miss the theming elements very much.

Do I sense the feeling of a trailer tower returning again, oh goodness.

I hope he is half the man that Will Koch was. I heard nothing but GREAT, and I do mean GREAT things about Will Koch. Holiday World is a very well run park and after my first visit in August, I will be going back again.

To me, that was one of the best theming elements on that whole ride. It is truly sad when one person, or two, have to ruin the experience for everyone else.

Agreed that is hilarious. Does anyone remember back when Mr. Christopher got electrocuted in the video the lights would go off in the hangar? Whatever happened to all that?

From a stand point of a visitor to the park, I would sat XSF is, due to all the checking of the restraints and the sheer hook ups that come with the job.

haha yes I was! that was me. haha ill guess next time ill have to show some affiliation with kic. its hard to match screennames with real faces! I am a fan of loudly blurting out KIC louder than normal and seeing who looks at me. I am pretty sure over half that train on The Beast was full of KIC'ers, including myself. I am also pretty sure that you rode in the very back, I actually skipped on the very back because I was gonna give it to someone who really wanted it, therefore you can thank me!

When it comes to rumors going through the rumor mill, I prefer to devote my reading of sometimes false rumors to Screamscape. Over half the time they are reliable when they post something and I choose to believe them over wikipedia.

On the topic of webcams, is anyone else having trouble viewing the Diamondback webcam, it will not bring up an image for me.

It was quite the ride, as I remember I thought I spotted THE Tower Johnny in the woods, and it turned out to be an e-stop light. That was the first time for me that I have ever seen the fog on in the second tunnel, it was quite the experience. Even the devilish figure propped beside the track was quite the addition.

^I was merely joking. I have wondered this to myself though, would it even be safe to rub a train on those tracks where there has not been one ran in over a year?

I love seeing people walking around aimlessly trying to find out how to ride, quote "That big ole wooden one." Maybe they should invest in the worlds biggest tarpolean and just put it over the whole track and on the outside put, coming soon. I have also noticed Flight Deck usually doesn't have as much of a crowd as it did when SOB was open. Occasionally you'll get a decent line, but other days it seems like it is always a walk on almost

I have already given up on the park being not crowded, I got spoiled with 2 empty days at the park this month. That signifies to me that I'm due for a day where there are going to be crowds. I don't mind the crowds though, it adds to the atmosphere of the park, even though not waiting at all is pretty nice.

I am pretty stoked about the daily operation beginning earlier because EKU usually let's out either late April or early May. This will give me a chance to get in some days at Thr park while everyone else is in school. I am a bit bummed about the later actual opening day, it just drags the off-season on that much longer.
