Which is one of the things actively hurting the event, the other (IMHO) being Haunt being free with admission and drawing larger, rowdier crowds. I'm under the assumption a fairly large portion of the monsters are under the age of 18, which leaves a majority of the houses understaffed at the end of any given night (or even in the middle of the night). The Island should go the route of the Farm by raising the age limit to 18 for Haunt.

The way I'm thinking of, it wouldn't be all that difficult to do. The simplest idea is to have a Vortex tunnel like the one in CarnEvil designed as a makeshift portal to another world. A more complex, yet more remarkable, idea would be to re-utilize the drop floor from Urgent Scare as the interior of a spaceship making an emergency landing, complete with TV screens depicting what one would see outside the ship.

*cough*Mean Streak*cough Sorry, but I'm seeing the Point's big woodie getting the nod over Sonny, and that's IF a Cedar Fair coaster is getting the Iron Horse treatment.

PETA Accuses SeaWorld Of Animal Slavery
RingMaster replied to coaster_junky's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Didn't want to make a new thread about it considering we technically already have a PETA-centric thread right here, so: http://www.gameinfor...nooki-suit.aspx -
You could just give it a different name entirely, like Wet Willy's Water World!

I'd pay any amount to eat with the whole dang department. So much fun was had during many a lunch with the Eco crowd back in the day...

Yeah, I don't see the park getting a seal of approval from them anytime soon... -
PETA Accuses SeaWorld Of Animal Slavery

What about putting down adults for human population control? 'Cause I've got quite a list of folks we could do without to thin the herd, such as, but not limited to: The Kardashians Justin Bieber Paris Hilton the cast of Jersey Shore the many casts of The Real Housewives K-dollar sign-HA the creator of Autotune -
I was about to say, what person do you know has a simple Season Pass instead of a Gold one? With as many marketing sales the park has surrounding the Gold Pass, let alone people outright OWNING one, it might be better to just get rid of the regular pass and go back to the two-pass option seen in the Paramount days. Of course, then you'd run into the issue of having the 99.999999% of season pass holders pay for Haunt while the 0.000001% with their Platinum Pass get in for free (wow, that just sounds really weird)...

I waited a mere five minutes to enter your establishment the Saturday I went. That was the Saturday of 40 degree weather though, but was the shortest wait of the bunch. The longest was for Massacre Manor at 40 minutes. That said, the one attraction I know that has lines at least two hours long is Tombstone Terrortory.

Talk about an interesting move from Land of Illusion. I'd assume that the price of a pass will most likely cost about as much as a Saturday ticket to Haunt (@ 54.99). I'd also assume that KI is going to be keeping a close eye on how well the passes at LOI sell and come up with a Haunt season pass of their own, at perhaps $70 or $80 a pop (Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando has a Frequent Fear Pass by comparison)...

Be glad that blacktop isn't used in the water park. Or at least be glad that any new blacktop being incorporated into Soak City will stay in the new parking lot being constructed...

I would really want a clone of Dollywood's Barnstormer, scenic-wise:

If you were to divide the price of an admission ticket by the number of haunts at KI (@ 54.99 for a Saturday ticket), it would average out to around $5 per Haunt. By comparison, Land of Illusion's attractions average at $6 (@ $34.99 for a Saturday ticket), whereas St. Rita's, USS Nightmare, Haunted Hoochie, and Dent Schoolhouse top the list at over $10 due to being singular attractions (Hoochie and Schoolhouse, however, have secondary attractions alongside the main draw, which bring the average to just $10). Friday night tickets make the average drop down to a paltry $3 a KI Haunt. Either way, Kings Island's Haunt is indeed the cheapest option for having multiple attractions in one location, although, in my opinion, Land of Illusion has the better value as you get more bang for your buck. SSR's right about more memorable experiences from LOI, like seeing two school buses standing upright, walking across a shaking metal bridge inside a massive hangar, and crouching inside a cave with monsters leaping from stalagmite to stalagmite, all within the same attraction. But my question involving KI's Haunt is which would be the better option - having the whole event be a separate admission with a flat rate, or having the event a pay-per-haunt with the option of a combo pass? My answer: separate charge, which would lessen the crowds and the sales would (hopefully) go towards better mazes.

An indoor wild mouse to replace the indoor top spin, similar to the Dark Knight Coaster at a few of the Six Flags parks.

Am I the only one who is let down by Haunt?
RingMaster replied to 4runneradam's topic in Kings Island
Maybe that's why the park shouldn't be open until 1AM. You have NO LIFE outside of KI if you work there during Haunt while you're in school. The workers walk around like zombies even in the middle of the regular season. I commend those who are there working from 11 in the morning to well past 2 in the morning doing split shifts between their regular departments and Haunt, though. -
Gah, if I had the money, I'd have joined ya on your Knott's trip; Lord knows I would have loved every minute of it. And yeah, this is Doll Factory's last year...

The question now is whether they will use school glue or super glue?

Even if one isn't afraid of chainsaws, it's just as much fun to watch others run in terror at the sight/sound of one. If you don't even enjoy seeing other people get scared, then what's the point of attending an event of this caliber?

RingMaster replied to 4runneradam's topic in Kings Island
You'd be surprised at how many haunts both across town and across the country follow the same rules and guidelines when it comes to interacting with guests. The only haunts that can bypass the "no touchie" rule are the ones that make their customers sign a waver...and Dead Acres. Also, I've heard more swearing and foul language from Club Blood alone than at other attractions like Dent Schoolhouse and Land of Illusion. -
But all of the king's horses and all of the king's men may not be able to put Sonny back together again...
-
And I thought this horse had been sent to the glue factory long ago. Some of us didn't even know this was a horse. Maybe because everyone kept beating it so much we couldn't tell what the heck it was anymore.

Yes. A more complex answer would be this: if you have coulrophobia or, in your case, just hate clowns, then I suggest skipping CarnEvil as the talent are more than willing to get up close and personal with those that let their fear go public.
-
....someone should pitch that idea to Kings Island. A zombified gardener with a leaf blower wreaks havoc amongst the population.

What the hell are you talking about? My wife and I haven't even been to Halloween Haunt this season and since you brought it up, the two times we have been to the park, we haven't paid a dime to get in. So get your facts straight before you try to show up "people like me." Right, because people like you who haven't paid a dime to get into an amusement park without going to its Halloween-themed event know more about how to scare people and what actually is scary than people like Mr. Spade who push their bodies to their limits making sure the people who DID pay a dime to get into an amusement park's Halloween-themed event got their money's worth during the entire run of the event. I'm kinda glad I didn't get myself a Platinum Pass else I'd turn into an inconsiderable jerk.
