Oh, you - you - beast!
-
I believe the song also mentions something about going into a revolution.
-
Maybe the ride is gonna be called Steve?
-
Ride will most certainly be sponsored by Doritos! Don't forget White Castle! Make sure there is a Kinzel's Konsession Stand by the exit that sells munchies 'cause hey, ya gotta eat!
-
I sure would love to see some mom's standing around selling drugs! Or you could ride though a big smoke dome... I'm so sorry I ever made this post. It never dawned on me that it would be taken as a drug reference. I have never done drugs of any kind so I guess I'm a bit ignorant about the lingo. What I meant was that since the footers were installed, many weeds have grown up around them - no track or supports have been placed, only weeds - so, hence, WEEDS - The Ride 'cos that's all I saw!
-
Coming to King's Island in 2014 - WEEDS - The Ride Hey, that's all I see!
-
I'm gonna make a prediction...... I'm REALLY going out on a limb here, but I think It's gonna be a ride of some sort, although I could be wrong!

The Next Cedar Point Coaster
Hank replied to BeastForever's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Sandusky's airport is for sale - would make a good parking lot. Build a monorail - Mr. Q. knows what those are, Then construct a nice wooden coaster and other rides in the current parking lot, making sure there is proper water drainage. Of course, this new construction may block Mr. K's view of the park from his current residence, but then again, he may not live there forever. Also, the Dinos don't have to be a permanent thing and neither do some of the other rides, as proven by the Wildcat, Space Spiral, Disaster Transport, and Paddle Wheel Excursions. -
You wanna see bad potholes, visit Toledo!
-
Sorry, but I thought it was kinda senseless.
-
You know, I was gonna make a comment, but it's not worth it.
-
It could be. But most wooden coasters have many more footers than what we are seeing now. A prototype could result in less footers. But again I think KI is going steel with this one. They don't want anyone to confuse this project with SOB.On the other hand I would love to see B&M come up with a wooden style coaster. GG has the best designs for wooden coasters, IMO. Competition like B&M and others could really make them (GG) push the envelope. Who knows if they're done with footers yet? Could be more on the way. Another delay could be the wood supply. And remember - it took more than a year to build The Beast.
-
Let me ask...... Is it possible for B&M to construct a wooden coaster? Maybe pre-fab, maybe hybrid, maybe all wood? I mean - look - wooden coasters need footers too. If it were a new type of design - a prototype - no one would really be able to tell from the pictures because nothing like it has ever been built. Arrow did mine train coasters - wood with steel - and they did a big example of it with Gemini at Cedar Point. And just to add some credence to my possible theory, look at the footer as you come out of The Beast's station - the one with all the guide wires keeping the circle of track taut. It just could be - and my thinking is just as valid as anyone else's.
-
Possibly the trademark roar of a B&M machine?

What is the most "exotic" Park you've been to?
Hank replied to girlafraid's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I meant that statement as acutting rank against the employees of Cypress Gardens. That place was supposed to be the epitome of water shows and they were simply terrible. People kept falling off their skis, boats, whatevers. I saw better water shows (no faults) at much smaller venues. I was expecting the finest and I got gypped. -
Maybe Cedar Point is sending the Wildcat, Disaster Transport, and the Space Spiral to Mason, Ohio?

Cypress Gardens. It was in 1982. There were lots of different things - but the water shows were terrible. Maybe we saw the "understudies" but I could ski behind a boat better than most of those employees - and I've never skied before! Thew girls in the Southern Belle outfits were nice to look at, but when I went to speak with them - taki jestem tutaj *****! (Polish for "what we have here is a *****). I didn't even bother taking a picture of any of them (why waste film). The bird show was awful with none of the birds cooperating. RCDB does not list any coasters there in 1982, but I swear there was one - if I could only find the pictures I took. It was a mine train ride which was no big deal. The food there was terrible and expensive. About the only good things were the trees and flowers I didn't mean to give a trip report, but you talk about strange/weird/exotic - Cypress Gardens in 1982 had it all! -
Turkeys have them too. A coaster named Turkey? That's as bad as that water ride/funnel - you sit in what looks like a plastic turd and get flushed down the drain. Talk about a swirrly!
-
1 - Maybe this is meant to keep people away - no camping, no photos, no peaking through the fence. 2 - Napoleon Dynamite's favorite coaster at KI could be any of them - they're all a blast. 3 - Could be the Banshee's Husband (or significant other). 4 - My, has Mr. Kinzel aged since he retired!
-
OMG we're getting Disaster Transport! I heard we were getting a coaster from Cedar Point but I never thought of that one!
-
If you can't see anything from up here, you could be in the dark - hence, inside!
-
You would be correct, but the tone of the song would work well with a bansee theme. How about - "They Call It Mellow Yellow" (E-lec-tric-a-ba-na-na) or, better yet, with a name like Banshee - and to make it even more scary.... "the Purple People Eater"
-
^ I believe it's "A Whiter Shade of Pale"

Found this in today's paper.....
