  1. I have never made a post like this, but here goes... I take offense to the above. I try to have humor in my postings, but if you'll notice - they all have some truth. Once again, everyone is entitled to their own views and that is that. The title of this topic is STARTING to decode - not searching for the correct answer nor decoding with some experience under our belts. I believe that anyone's thoughts are as good as anyone else's. And who knows - some of the suggestions might actually give ideas to people who design the rides. Now - I said I was done a few posts back but this was bothering me all day long and I felt compelled to write. I will now go away.
  2. I'm taking a deep breath and saying bye-bye.

There's always room for Jello because it calls ahead for a reservation! Without knowing what the ride will entail, quite possibly it could be such that riders will make bone-chilling screams. There's always room......
  4. Two things.... 1. - Mr. Quimet said no wing rider coasters for 2014. If this project is actually gonna take longer than one year to complete, the ride wouldn't open until 2015. 2. - The enjoy it while you can comment from Don leads me to believe that something is gonna be removed to make way for whatever the new project entails. Now, sit back, think about these two things, and ponder the fuzz in your navel!
  5. I have trouble seeing anything from any of the pictures. I really don't know - and don't care - about the shape of footings and such. So let me ask.... If, indeed, a coaster from Cedar Point were to be transplanted in this space at King's Island, which one would it be? This could be a possibility, as people on this site have mentioned that a transplant was going to take place. That would help explain the hush-hush of whatever is coming -----Cedar Point doesn't want to announce a coaster is leaving until the last possible minute, therefore, King's Island won't/can't make an announcement until The Point makes theirs. Also remember - supposedly the Gatekeeper was to be somewhere else in the park before it gained its current locale. Quite possibly a different machine is going to be installed in the original Gatekeeper spot and another coaster would need to be removed to make room for it. As far as out-of-the-box thinking goes, this is so far out, it's in it's own box - but, it is a possibility.
  6. "Did someone say GREEN Intamin track?"
  7. Filet-O-Fish shaped tubs, traveling in a trough, Snicker Bar-like handle bars, HUGE lift hill, only this time the cars are lifted from above - - - yes, inverted! And of course, there's a splash-down. All of this enclosed in what looks like a giant McDonald's (hence, the "Don" in McDonald's). Riders are sprayed with "special sauce" and Red Gold ketchup which resembles blood, and everyone screams - hence the Banshee part. Them off to the bathroom to have a bm. There - fish, water ride, Snickers, Don, inverted, tall lift hill, splash down, Red Gold, enclosed, Banshee, b&m. Certainly a first in the industry - a prototype - - - -OH - I forgot - wood products used in the fabrication of this attraction from the Belgain Congo.
  8. Actually, a Sugar Daddy or SlowPoke would last longer!

Did said family possibly have one of these - you know, the type you only see at weddings & funerals (kinda like most of my family - IF I go to the weddings or funerals) but, nonetheless, did not want to create volatile inner-family emotional situations by using such a vulgar metaphor?
  10. I think we need to cut her some slack - she's new and only 14. Let's be nice and explain about posting "he said/she said" stuff.
  11. I think a word search would be more appropriate!
  12. Wait a minute. I just remembered there's no such thing as a congo drum. Perhaps you mean conga? I was using the "key words" of the day....Splash & Congo
  13. Hey, Terp - maybe we could make a splash playing Congo drums for the new ride's musical soundtrack?
  14. ....and we'll have FUN FUN FUN 'til her daddy takes the T-Bird away. Then will she walk, look, and drive like an ace? Or will she scream like a Banshee?
  15. I hope everyone knows I wasn't being serious. I just remember the gum wall in The Beast's queue line - it was awful! Please friends - keep the park clean.
  16. How about sticking used gum on one of the posts in the queue line? Such a novel idea!
  17. I'm at Put-In-Bay. A 20 some year old girl and her girlfriend, both of whom are drunk, ask, "Pardon me, sir, but do you know where the Monument is?" I point behind them, they look and say, "Oh, you mean that silo?" Can you guess their hair color?
  18. I want a Martin D-45! - and if you wanna throw in Mila, I won't complain!
  19. Prepping fresh-cut trees for Winterfest?
  20. I can see it now - all the RVs and Fifth Wheels lined up, having FUN!
  21. People were hurt - and not just a cut or bump that goes away with time. There are KIC members who were injured on Son and they live with pain every day of their lives. They keep kicking themselves for not reporting it, but with all the stuff going on with that POS at the time, they figured no one would listen to them - just people looking to get a settlement from a court case. I pray to God you never get an injury from an amusement ride (or in my case, a Ford product). To have to live with pain the rest of your life is pure hell. Has Hank driven a Ford lately? No!
  22. There are many possibilities for this new attraction. I've mentioned a few in previous posts - some serious and others, well, not serious. But I believe that this will be something new to the industry. Something no one has even thought of before. Maybe a prototype, but with tried and true elements which will provide reliability. Out-of-the-box thinking. I know Mr. Quimet has only been on board for a short time, but his influence will be felt in this project and in the development of that entire area of the park. This is going to be special - even more special than Gatekeeper, which is a wonderful machine but is really just a bigger, taller, longer version of something that already exists. Mr. Q. knows KI's history and will keep that special pride for our/his park. So I say....LOOK OUT! Something REALLY special is coming our way!
  23. The drops will not be long nor the speed that fast, however, at that height (think of WindSeeker and being up there) it will be scary. (of course when I first saw this headline, I thought of a 650 ft. drop roller coaster)
  24. But, seriously - the roughness you can feel when riding a coaster can be the result of several things - track, wheels, age, etc. - but some coaster designs have such awkward turns and twists and you take those transitions to be rough, which they are, so take all these things into consideration next time you ride and then give a report explaining the roughness you experience and how it seemed to present itself to you while riding.
