  1. Saw this on another site - ThrillNetwork.com - cute! Thank you TN! Pigs Fly on SkyScreamer at Six Flags Over Georgia Pigs were actually flying at Six Flags over Georgia this week. Opening this season at Six Flags over Georgia is the brand new SkyScreamer tower swing ride. Standing at 242 feet, SkyScreamer is the tallest ride in the park. The Star Flyer swing towers stands at 24 stories over the park, four more than the Goliath hyper coaster. The ride swings to a full 98 foot diameter and travels up to 40 mph. On Media Day this week Six Flags over Georgia the park invited 30 guests, dressed as pigs, to ride the new ride. The pigs were allowed several cycles on the new SkyScreamer swing tower. The ride is ready for Memorial Day Weekend guests. For more information and video of the pigs please visit: wbstv.com

    Your Music Taste

You forgot Classical - and even though most people on here wouldn't check it off as something they listen to, they'd be surprised at what they really hear or have heard over the years in TV and radio commercials, animated cartoons, Hollywood Blockbusters, 4th of July celebrations, high school bands & orchestras, Sunday church services (all denominations), etc. Even in the Jokes and Riddles thread on this site.... What does Beethoven have for breakfast? Ba-na-na-na. See - Classical music EVERYONE knows!
  3. Who'd wanna sit around a campfire with a bunch of Banshees?
  4. ...and some don't read very well - or can't spell very well!
  5. At least they're not Bogaert's.
  6. Love the hints. - just sayin'
  7. Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, KIA, Honda, Toyota, BMW - you see these on the side of the road and they are all vehicles that are said to be some of the best cars being built these days. I see all coasters down at some point. But, just like the automobiles mentioned above, they are machines ---and not fault-free. Our bodies are machines too and none of us are fault-free (although there are some.....). And in the end, whatever this new attraction turns out to be, we will all experience it and be glad that King's Island/Cedar Fair spent the capital so we can enjoy it. Who knows - maybe there will be a real Banshee and she gives piggyback rides as she wails and hollers - a frightening sound heard throughout the park! (her full name is Betty Mercer - hence, B&M)

    eek! Top gun!

Top Gun/Flight Deck.....all rusted out.....needs to be removed......gonna be gone soon......etc....... As Elton John sang...."I'm still standin'" and, in the case of Giga/Hyper/Really, Really Big coasters.....I quote Chumbawamba - "I get knocked down, but I get up again" (maybe even better - "Pi**ing the night away")?
  9. Be sure to watch this.....could be some new clues? http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-shows/future-scream-machines-bigger-wetter-faster
  10. I cannot believe this! On the other hand, why shouldn't I? http://www.northwestohio.com/news/story.aspx?id=897676#.UZKkprXIVRE
  11. and here I thought that maybe the new ride was going to go through GWL as part of some kind of arrangement between KI & GWL, which would promote staying at the resort while offering special discount/package deals for both places. (just me, having fun with everybody)

  13. Banshee - B&M's new flat ride. It's a large Trabant with the Schwabinchen Lady replaced and the Banshee Lady put in her place. Wouldn't that be a let-down!
  14. I don't think he'll have to worry about Wildcat. It was removed before last year's opening day. Blue Streak may be a bit tight.
  15. Yes, and it's nice to be healing - which means no coasters this year.....but wait until next year when that new giant B&M double-winged, pink polka-dot, steel with wood support coaster opens at KI. I'm gonna be first in line! (might even plead my case to Mr. Q., telling him it's been 3 years since coasters for me because of surgery, so would he please let me ride it before the park officially opens?)
  16. What? But that's the point of this thread isn't it. Say what you want KI to get, and everything to the contrary is diversion or ridiculous. I believe this thread is about "Decoding" the possible 2014 ride. I assume that means predicting the new ride based on past evidence and solid facts(that we have so far). Not to be confused with 'LOLOLZ I WANT A DIVE MACHINE SI THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE GETTING LOLOLz'. And simply ending it there, with no solid reasoning other that its an 'incredible experience that KI deserves'. So lets think while we predict. That's been my point all along. Please see my post - #330
  17. Lo, and behold......I was presented with this picture when I opened my Hemming's Motors page this morning.... a 1964 Banshee!
  18. I want a puce color coaster. No - make that tutti-frutti. I don't mean to upset anyone (I know I will) but do you all know how ridiculous you sound? What the hell difference does the color of a friggin' ride got to do with anything? I mean - geez - this topic is about decoding, not preferences. IF it's a coaster or if it's not a coaster, the color is not gonna keep anyone off of it. My god - the general public could give a rat's ass as to what color a ride is. Besides that, when a re-painting is done, the color can be changed - as it often is. Look at Scooby-Doo, I mean Beastie, I mean Fairly Odd Coaster, I mean Woodstock Express (hummm - I gues the names can change too!). Furthermore, I don't care what color you want, nor do I care what color it will be - I'd like to see some detective work and some facts, which is what this topic is supposed to be about.
  19. The idea is a terrain-hugging coaster, a la Maverick and Cheetah Run, only longer and faster. Hummmmm - terrain hugging - just like a big wooden coaster at the park who's son used to take up the area we're discussing.
  20. I just looked at this... http://rcdb.com/11058.htm and this... http://www.tv2oj.dk/artikel/162331:Oestjylland--Danmarks-laengste-rutsjebane This is the kind of ride I mentioned many posts back. It takes up room, is terrain-based, and would be a good fit for KI. Now, if this were to actually become a KI attraction, I would expect it to be much, much longer and much, much faster - although the faster part would require different trains rather than the ATV's currently on the track in Denmark.
  21. I'd rather look to the right and see!
  22. I just had an epiphany! They're going to lengthen Flight Deck!
  23. Beast, Diamondback, Invertigo, Flight of Fear, Racer, Flight Deck, Woodstock Express, Adventure Express, Back Lot Stunt Coaster, Flying Ace Aerial Chase, Firehawk, Vortex. I've never been on The Great Pumpkin. Lest we forget - or should we forget - Surf Dog? (Also, just as a nod to them.... King Cobra, The Bat, Son of Beast, Bavarian Beetle, Scooby's Ghoster Coaster, Demon)
  24. My mom always told me - "You know everything and that's it" (of course she was being sarcastic and using the phrase as a Polish put-down) but......here goes..... I think these new terrain-hugging coasters like Maverick and Cheetah Run are very front and center right now. The area in question could handle a coaster like that, along with the theming that goes with it. Verbolten is a cool concept, but i think it could get "old" after a bit - I mean, really, unless the show gets changed, how many times do you want to see it? Expedition Everest is another example - the show will need to be changed to give guests a fresh experience once in a while. With Maverick and Cheetah Run, things can be added to enhance the theming, keeping the ride experience freshened-up at minimal cost. Also, if the area in question is going to be a themed area, room will be needed for additional rides, attractions, etc., so keeping the new coasters' footprint a bit more compact may be what we finally see. I don't believe B&M has built any Maverick-like rides, but there's always a first - and they would probably do it much, much better than Intamin could ever hope to achieve. Finally, bone-chilling screams.....I think it's just hype to corral more guests into a return visit after "whatever it is" is built. Hey, at least it didn't say "bone crushing screams" - we already had that with the last attraction that graced that area! Well, mom - any comments from you?
